I usually don’t give bad reviews but this place was not acceptable. This place should NOT be in business! The worst service and appearance. I found like mass of fur from my salad. So, I just inform to employee but she said it’s not came from our kitchen. It looks like came from other customer clothing. Anyway she should say sorry about this happen but Staff was unprofessional(rude). She didn’t even apologize. Never eating here again!!!

Good food as always but it had way too many people in there… I showed up with 4 friends(group of 4) and had trouble finding a table… it took about 5 min till someone got up but the 5 min of us stating there felt like it took forever…

i love and hate this place at the same time. if you’ve ever been to a ci-ci’s pizza, it’s the same exact thing, but with salad. so you walk in and you’re greeted with the salad bar. you load up and pay at the register which opens you up to the rest of the room. soup bar, baked potato bar, pasta bar, bread bar, dessert bar, you get the idea. now, i love the concept of this place, and it keeps me going back. all you can eat, salad bar style, tons of choices. but the food itself leaves something to be desired. usually all the veggies are fresh, i will say that, but nothing is great quality. the mac n cheese for instance, i’m pretty sure is just kraft out of the box. if you’re looking for cheap buffet eats, this is your place. if you’re looking for a quality healthy meal, probably not.

Hit and miss depending on the chef I suppose. Sometimes this place is great and other times the soup is watery and the salad bar messy which is offensive. The Club coupons are helpful and the parking is pretty good. They could do better keeping the place clean.

I have been to countless Souplantations. For those that want more and more veggies in their diet, this is the place to go. I am always happy after eating here. There is nothing more to say that come to Souplantation and get your colon cleansed. Your body will be happy that you did.

If you are looking to eat on a budget, you can’t go wrong with this place. Otherwise, there’s not much to say or like about the food. At the risk of sounding like an elitist, I came here on the suggestion of a friend who values quantity over quality, and that’s exactly what I got. The food is subpar and the location is more of a cafeteria than an actual eatery, but at $ 10 a head for all you can eat, you can’t really argue the value and you can’t really expect msg-free fine dining.

Had an amazing time here last night. It was my very first time at a Souplantation so I had no idea what to expect. Everything was fresh, & delicious. The service was okay. The environment was great. Will definitely be coming back.

I like Souplantation. I am gluten free, so I can’t love-love it, but I do enjoy the salads and the french onion soup, and baked sweet potatoes, when they have them. My hubby loves the place, so I go, even though I don’t get to eat the muffins, the pizza, and the cornbread… and oh that wonderful chicken soup with the biscuits under it. :) The salad bar does have a lot of good toppings to dress your stuff up with. If you are very hungry and don’t want to eat a ton of stuff that will kill you, try it. TIP: Sign up for their email club(I think it’s called Club Veg) and you’ll get coupons that make the price more bearable. Like 2 fors…’cause to tell you the truth, I think the price per meal is kinda steep for what you get.(But that’s just my opinion… like I said, I’m GF.) This location is clean and well staffed. It’s a newer one with a more open seating plan, more booths-which is cool.

I came here not knowing what to expect! I had driven by many times and I was always intrigued to try this place. Big mistake! My receipt came out to almost $ 16! For what you ask? A bland salad, tasteless Mac n Cheese, and some weird pizza/bread thing? I honestly don’t even know what it was. The food was very mediocre, and the selection was really small, but the fruit and desert selection was alright! I don’t think I’ll be coming back here. I just didn’t enjoy my experience, and I generally don’t like buffet-style restaurants. For those who do… you can find a better place out there.

I like to think this place is packed because Angelenos are so health conscious. But looking around it seems that the salad is just an obstacle to navigate around on your way to the soft serve ice cream buffet.

Very dirty. The utensils are dirty, and the trays are wet. The lettuce tasted bad. The food is pretty cheap and not so tasty.

Most important tip about this place — If you have not, join their email club and they will instantly email you a buy one get one coupon. That means you only pay $ 11 for an unlimited salad, soup, and dessert buffet, for 2 people. At $ 5.50 per person, that is what I call the delicious deal. Another tip: at the salad bar, be selective on what you pick. The more expensive and preferable ingredients are situated towards the end. Even the pre-prepared salads towards the tail end if the buffet are better compared to what they put out up front. Favorite item: chicken meatball soup, and the clam chowder. Least favorite item: the ministrone soup. Food: 3 stars Service: 3 stars Ambience: 3 stars

Look online for coupons. They accept coupons on your phone. You just need to show it. I used the $ 10.49 with drink for dinner coupon. But seriously! All you get at this place is soup salad and a whole bunch of carbs. It always seems like a good idea at the time but I would prefer going to Sizzler. Depending on which one you go to, they have a fresh buffet. You pay the same price plus you can get a full plate with protein. Vs eating a bunch of someone crappy carbs.

Key topics of Souplatation interest by keen observation over the years: 1. OLDPEOPLE/GERIATRICS: There are so many senior citizens that love this place. If they knew actually how to use Unilocal I’m 100% sure this place would have 5 stars. Oh yeah. They are so cute drinking their soup. 2. DOYOUHAVETHEMUNCHIES?: This place is a munchie Mecca. Keep all your plates to make a leaning tower and then fb post that pic! 3. CLAMCHOWDAH– it’s so good. Nice and creamy in your belly. 4. SALADBAR– every ingredient you could ever want! 5. ENDLESS– self explanatory 6. PARKING– they validate so you don’t need to be cheap and walk 7. COUPONS– if you look hard enough online there is always a coupon that makes your meal at geriatric discount price

My friend and I had an early dinner at Souplantation yesterday… and I am just now gaining my mobility again. Tip number one: If you have never been, join their email club. They instantly send you a email with a coupon for buy one, get one free meal. This means a friend and you can eat dinner for $ 11 total. and not just any dinner, but the biggest dinner ever. When you first walk in, you are greeted by a huge salad bar with so many toppings. The dressings are great. I really enjoyed the honey mustard, and the roasted garlic dressing. They also have a few premium toppings you can add for an addition $ 2.50. After you have made a huge, overflowing the plate salad, you pay for your mail and enter the restaurant where even more food awaits you. They have about 8 soups everyday. I really enjoyed the sweet potato corn chowder, the french onion and the clam chowder. The black bean soup was my least favorite. They also have 3 rotating pasta dishes. Mac n Cheese was okay, but the penne tomato basil was delish. In addition to these carbs, they provide some amazing breads. SO good. They also have a baked potato bar. but I was too full to enjoy that. Of course, whats a buffet without a dessert bar. Lots of soft serve ice cream, and a lava cake. that honestly looks a lot better than it tastes. but it was still OKAY. The walls have signs that read«You may not have to eat for days» These signs are not a lie. not at all. And because of that, it will be a while until I return but only because I will still be digesting all the food I ate. Additionally, the restaurant was very clean, and the staff was friendly. They also validate parking for one hour, but the lot is only $ 1 an hour for the first four hours, so not too bad.

One of the nicer Souplantations around. Gets crowded at times, but you can see the turnover in the food, and they’re pretty organized about getting you seating decently quickly. That said, it’s still a Souplantation, so it’s nothing fancy, it’s a salad buffet, a soup-and-carbs-buffet, maybe a little meat somewhere in the pasta, plus the ice cream/dessert bar. This one is also pretty clean, add in that it’s well-run and efficient, which are all good marks for a buffet.

They have a great selection of soups and salads, but it’s pretty mediocre. Wasn’t blown away by the soup and I was hoping for more options other than salad and the few hot items they had. If you’re just looking for a quick bite, you’ll definitely find what you want here, but if you’re looking for something a little better, I’d go to Corner Bakery which is only down the block.

This is my favorite Souplantation. They have a lot of choices of soups, salads, and desserts. Plenty of seating and plenty of eating. I normally skip the salads for the soups. You’re not going to find a lot of meat at any Souplantation though.

WAY over priced. I paid $ 13.79 for one person, which included the drink. You’d have to be VERY hungry to get your money’s worth at this place. The pre made salads were soggy. The baked goods were very«bready» and lacked toppings. The iced tea was absolutely horrible. The vanilla yogurt was out of order… etc. If you go there, get a coupon. Better yet, DON“T go there at all… totally not worth it,…even if it was half that price. It’s just not that good. I remember going there about ten years ago. I remember it being much better. You’d be way better off going to Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods and grabbing a salad there. I give it one star because the people that work there are nice.

Soup and salad buffet. It’s healthy, it’s cheap, it’s a good place to eat. Although, I’m not sure about charging extra for premium items. That’s just silly. Besides the salad items there is a wide variety of soups and breads. I’d eat here again. It makes eating salads fun because you get to choose your own toppings.
