It’s kind of ok for the money if you are big fan of salads. There is nothing else except soups and salads and a few miscellanous items. My biggest problem was that there was absolutely no protein in the menu which was a first for a buffet for me. No roasted chicken, no ribs, no meatballs nothing, only fiber and carbs. I might come again when I want a salad and I am around.

Sometimes you look for the trend restaurant, the hype. The upscale but i guess that doesnt do it for me anymore… Then you go to crappy restaurant that you think of… souplantation for example. And it just wondeful. You can choose what you eat and how much you want to eat. To top it off, the table are soooo comfortable… And i was happy… for under 20 bucks … Compare to my last dinner. 140 at this famous abd glamarous place… just happy at souplantation

I am normally a huge fan of Souplantation, where they offer unlimited soups, salad, and soft serve! Unfortunately, this particular location is not ideal. The inside just looks really depressing… No natural lighting and it is so dim inside. Food preparation doesn’t look as fresh/good as the other locations. And the soup had weird consistencies. For example, their chili was awful… I’ve never had such a thin chili and it tasted bad too lol. The texture of the soft serve was off too — way too icy in my opinion. They also had a seasonal eggnog flavor which was meh. I wouldn’t be back at this particular location. Parking is only offered at the lot where you will have to pay $ 1.

I had never gone to Souplantation before my first experience a few years ago. It is like our Sweet Tomato on the East Coast. Oodles and oodles of wonderful pre-made salads in the salad bar from which to choose or you can build your own. Always full, fresh and visually appealing. In addition, the cost includes hot pizza, bread, soup, dessert and so much more! Everything else is included in the price? Whaat? So many options to satisfy your belly and there’s no rules you can’t eat dessert first. :) Overall, Souplantation is an excellent place to enjoy healthier options if you’re going to eat out at a reasonable price and this location has a great wait staff. FYI: The fresh baked chocolate chip cookies they passed out to customers afterwards is brilliant and something I look forward to even when I’m stuffed.

This is for the souplantation in Howard Hughs Promenade near Culver City. I’ve been several Souplantation stores and this one is below the average for their salads, which surprised me a little bit. As a result I gave it 3 stars instead of 4 that I typically would give to other stores.

My usual spot. Pro: Nice size, cheap yet good meal after the movie. Staff are friendly and nice. (many staff are working for long time since its opening at this location) Con: parking($ 2?) for the mall, note to self: adult dinner $ 11.59, Child(7 – 12) $ 5.99, Fountain drink $ 2.49 2 adult + 2 children =45.12 will become 31.55 with 30% off coupon.(family combo coupon will be better deal if you have one)

Meh. It’s clean, I’ll give you that. Restrooms, not so clean. The ventilation is pretty bad in there. Aside from that, the place was not that crowded. No one ever came to our table to clear our plates so we put them on a nearby table. Food is pretty standard compared to other locations I’ve been to. I did not see an «add meat» option. Maybe they don’t do chicken add-ons anymore? I tried the pumpkin chocolate swirl ice cream. It was okay. But I was looking forward to making a rootbeer float with the vanilla ice cream(which they didn’t have). I think staff should check the pumps for the chocolate and caramel. I was probably the first to pump it and water squirted out all over me. Good thing you can’t see. Some of the bakery items were overcooked like the chocolate muffins. The blueberry ones were okay and I rather enjoyed them. Oh! And the pot pie soup was delish!

I usually like going to Souplantation but this location has too much going against it to even consider a return visit despite their location so close to LAX. First, even on a Sunday morning, you need to pay for parking??? Ok, for a couple of bucks, I shouldn’t be such a cheapskate right? But the service here was nonexistent. The cashier was friendly enough but not once during the 45 minute visit did anyone stop by the table to clear off any of the used dishes. I saw another patron putting trays and used dishes on the side so I did likewise to keep the table uncluttered. The salad was as expected. Soup choices were more limited than, say, the Fullerton and Tustin locations I’ve been to several times each. The soda fountain was missing the caffeine free diet coke that I’m used to seeing in Souplantation. These I could live with but will pass on the complete lack of table service.

I was disappointed eating here. We had to pay to park in the structure, they don’t validate parking. We came here on a Sunday morning for brunch. The staff was friendly and greeted us, the store was clean and organized. I noticed there were not as many soup choices as other locations, I usually eat the same items; chicken noodle soup, Joan broccoli salad, Texas chilli, waffles, oatmeal, and scrambled eggs. The chicken noodle soup was oily and watery. There was a thick film of oil floating on top with the noodles, the chicken was at the bottom, it tasted like oily water. The chilli was thin and there was not too much meat and beans. The Joan’s broccoli salad was good. The staff, our only interaction was when they greeted us, they did not pick up our trays or used dishes.

I come here often as its one of the healthier options at the Howard Hughes center(so long as I avoid the focaccia and ice cream bars). Their salad bar is extensive, but lacks some key ingredients like baby corn or artichoke hearts. I love their variety of soups. They’re always well prepared and varied. Clam chowder, house chili and French onion are my favorites. If you are watching your figure, avoid the back row! The baked potato station will have you overloading your spud with all the great toppings, the focaccia is great for dipping into the soups(4 cheese + tomato soup = carb heaven), and the pasta section has some really great seasonal options… though mostly cheese sauces. Being a buffet, it’s a little more than I’d like to spend considering I don’t go back for seconds or thirds. But I see a lot of people getting their money’s worth here, so I won’t knock them on price. The place is generally clean, and the staff is mostly friendly but sometimes seem a bit tired.

I have, within the last couple of months, became great fans of Souplantation. Their avocado blt salad was a great draw, so are the variety of soups! Came to this Souplantation a couple of weeks back — thought the service was good, the variety was good(they were the only ones that had mushroom cream. However, the layout is a bit odd — it’s not the usual soup stations that you’d normally get with other Souplantations, but no matter. The actual gripe I had with this location was the cups for the soups — a lot of the cups were dirty(I had picked out at least 3 that were tainted with uncleaned cups and gave it to one of the servers). I’m not sure if I was quite satisfied with the cleanliness. However, the bathroom was pretty decent and the general eating areas were pretty clean as well. We might come back next time if we’re in the hood again, but in the mean time, I think I’d go to either the one in Pasadena, Arcadia, or Atwater.

Delicious buffet! Great salad bar options, butter and bread, amazing soups, and ambiance with outdoor seating as well. The price is reasonable but I recommend getting the email coupons for an added bonus. Sundays they offer a delicious brunch/breakfast(but ONLY on Sundays). The regular price per person is $ 9.99 but with the coupon it is only $ 6.99. They have cereals, and an array of breakfast options such as French toast, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage scramble, tortillas, waffles, and oatmeal. They also serve the salad bar that breakfast for those interested. Orange juice, water, coffee and soft drinks. Parking is $ 2.00 and you park underground.

Some people in my life tell me that since I went to college, I shouldn’t be writing 4 star reviews about Souplantation, but you know what, I don’t need these haters in my life. Souplantation is life and nobody can get between our love. Okay so first of all, if you go to Souplantation and only get one plate of salad, just leave right now. If you cannot even dedicate yourself to eating two plates of salad, you don’t deserve the kwan that is Asian Chicken Salad of Happiness, and you should just go to Souptation. Next up, 2015 Western Division Souplantation Soup Power Rankings: 1. Chicken Noodle Soup, 10,000 power levels 2. Clam Chowder, 8,000 cactus flowers 3. No other soup matters and you are just wasting your time 4. That crappy chili thing that they always try to make«seasonal» I will be really honest with you. The pizzas here suck. I think I’ve tried to make croissants at home and accidentally made better«pizzas» than what they have here. Just don’t do it. The corn bread with honey butter is the way to go. They have soft serve ice cream here. You will see people putting ice cream into a cup and making a soda float. Word of advice, putting soft serve between two pizzas will not make the pizzas better. Lastly, you will not find any hipsters here, which makes the whole experience that much better.

Compared to other Souplantations/Sweet Tomatoes in NorCal and SoCal, this one is pretty sweet! Why? — You can actually get a seat for dinner(don’t need to wait be seated) — It isn’t insanely loud or crowded for dinner(I hear lunch is rough though) — The salad bar stations are almost always middle-to-full — It’s fairly clean overall in the PM. Since this is a soup/salad buffet, you pretty much know what you’re getting into with Souplantation. It’s a ton of vegetables, some pretty good soups, and of course, delicious baked goods to finish off your meal. It does close a little earlier than other restaurants in Howard Hughes(see 9:00PM on Sundays!), but get there for an early dinner to enjoy what the S. Plantation is cooking!

My favorite spot to come when I want to indulge and not feel to bad about it the next day. It gets really crowded on Friday and Saturday nights around 7pm. Sometimes you have to wait to be seated! But still worth it! Defiantly sign up for their Veg Club. They send you coupons every Thursday’s for discounted meals.

Anyone who grows up near a souplantation will always have a soft spot for the place right? Nostalgia wins! This particular location is fairly new, but there are some serious design flaws to watch out for while dining here. Make sure that you DON’T set your tray on the very narrow counters they made by the soups, pizzas, etc. As you add weight to your tray i.e. delicious foods, that tray will flip on you if you’re not holding onto it carefully, we’ve seen it happen before! My favorite soups they come in rotation are by far the french onion soup and the albondigas(meat ball) soup. I wish these were always available but for some reason they are seasonal.

You can never go wrong with Souplantation’s coupons! Remember to subscribe to their email to get some great deals. The night when we were browsing around for food, I remembered i got a notification from souplantation through email, but I wasn’t sure what deal it was so when I checked, it was perfect! Two adults including beverage for $ 19.95? Sure, why not! If you are a meat person, I would not recommend you to come here because there aren’t much meat for you, meatlovers. This is more recommended to Vegetarians or light eater. Souplantation is not completely vegetarian since they serve chicken noodle soup and some other meat soup. Other than having a salad buffet, they also have pasta, pizza and potato. Not only do they have regular potato, they also serve sweet potato! Say what?! There are a few beverage choices such as unsweeten tea, milk, lemonade(sugar added or not), tea bags(earl grey, oolong, green tea and etc — hot water for you to make yourself). There have a dessert bar, but not much choice other than brownie, apples and ice cream machine. Coming back again? Yes, especially when I receive more coupons :)
