Avoid! Cheese pizza? INedible. Cardboard flavor, disgusting. could it be the worst EVER? PASTA? WAAAAY oversalted. Risotto? NOT made to order, just whatever was in the pot. Pricey. Enclosed patio heated with an UNvented gas heater with blower. My eyes burned. .. . I guess Brentwooders are NOT very discriminating anymore. SAD.

Our friends have been raving about this place, telling us we need to have dinner, just to try it out. What a great lil’ find, right down the street from my dear friends house. Street parking Good food, fresh, light or heavy. It has lots of options. Wonder service Outside seating in a warm and cozy environment. We had: Calamari salad, two thumbs up for me! Loved this salad! Grilled calamari on arugula w/a tangy lemon dressing, yummers! Main corse: Salmon with steamed asparagus. Really good. I ordered the sauce on the side. They also serve endless bread in a basket that they put on the table. We will def be back.

This place is a solid 4 stars. Food is always good and service is excellent. Recently I had the calamari salad and cauliflower soup for lunch. I would highly recommend both. These folks are the real thing when it comes to Italian food. Go!

I enjoy Sor Tino actually 3.5 stars a nice quant neighborhood Italian standbye in Brentwood… The food is a mixed bag mostly good to really good but not great Italian food. It’s a neighborhood fixture better than IL Piccolo Verde and clearly Peccorino’s but not as good as Toscana or Vincenti… I have been a number of times having lived in Brentwood and my office is nearby on San Vicente. I really like the outdoor patio and the service is by waiters with an accent so thick you need a UN interpreter to translate it’s almost a comedy skit when trying to order or comprehend the specials lol Its also very pricey even by Brentwood standards. It’s old school Italian done right in a casual neighborhood Brentwood trattoria … While it’s not on a par with the big boys or the high end Italian options around town it is a very good neighborhood option in Brentwood.

Great good, great service and a wonderful patio. The calamari is especially good, and the gnocchi melt in your mouth.

Unpretentious. Friendly. Authentic. Sor Tino provides a great atmosphere to separate you from the hustle and sounds of the street while maintaining excellent tasting options such as the papardelle cinghiale, the risotto, etc. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, the staff is extremely friendly. The wine selections and house choices are all of good quality. Buon appetito!

Very average italian food. Nothing special really. It is the most quietest restaurant in the area during lunch. So I guess that speaks for itself. I came here with a large group and everyone didnt seem so complimentary of their food so I guess their is not much to say, but not sure if we will be back… The veggie soup wasnt so good nor the calamari arugula salad I had. They were just ok.

«Italian food is all about ingredients and it’s not fussy and it’s not fancy.» Wolfgang Puck Sor Tino’s fare is all of that and more, fresh ingredients, simple, well executed, appropriately portioned so as not to overwhelm, to feed not stuff. Enhance your dine from an extensive wine list featuring those from both Italy and California. Select champagne or sparkling, whites, reds by the bottle, half bottle or limited offerings by the glass . Earlybirds, we zeroed in on Saturday’s fish specials. My companion more confident in an at home DIY, but neither one of us cool with preparation residue/the smell that lingers, we ordered the Dover Sole with Spinach and Sea Bass with Asparagus and De Checca. Leisurely, we sipped on chardonnay by the glass, nibbled on a lackluster breadbasket with olive oil and balsamic, but that’s just us, as we’re not fans of loading up on carbs, soup or salad before the good stuff arrives. Dinner theatre! Tableside Dover Sole deboning was pure art. Jealous my companion can do that. I can’t, don’t even want to try because that would be cooking fish at home, right? Perfectly prepared, light buttery pesce and al dente(asparagus) veggies, attentive service all before sunset. Espresso was dessert. Sambuca would have been a nice addition but it’s just wine here, regardless, we’ll be back. Grab a meter or find residential parking if you’re lucky. I recommend the small lot behind Sor Tino enter off Barrington. We forgot to validate and paid $ 1.50, not bad for Brentwood, eh?

Fast review Food: the food what can I say? Soooooo gooooood that I don’t think you can order a dish here that didn’t taste good! Had the artichoke salad which was tangy but just oh so tasty! Had the cauliflower soup which tasted perfect! Had the calamari with arugula and it was sweetly sautéed just right! For my main dish I had the ravioli and the flavors were to die for. Had tiramisu and cream brûlée(the only things I didn’t enjoy). Cappuccino was fresh! Ambiance: it has a dated fancy Italian feel. They should update the ambiance. Service: excellent! Tips: park at the rooftop and they validate! Or you can look for street parking!

The worst Italian food I’ve ever eaten. The pasta and risotto were the equivalent of reheated leftovers. What scampi? You mean those twisted lumps of rubber that couldn’t possibly ever have been a marine life form? Why does this restaurant even exist? The waiter and owner were either too indifferent or too embarrassed to even ask how we liked our dinner. Olive Garden would have been exponentially better. At least the wine was OK. Have

Best lunch ever !!! Totally recommend !! We ordered white fish, salmon salad and spaghetti for my kid. All food was very delicious. In the end they have treated my son with ice cream to but I couldn’t resist and asked for another one . All food was incredibly tasty and cooked with love.

I am a stickler for authentic, homestyle Italian food. Slightly obsessed with Italian culture and cuisine, and try to visit Italy as much as possible. Not a «pro» by any means, but I’ve had the real deal many times. Sor Tino is very, very good. Daily specials vary to keep new things coming along, service is good, and food is excellent. The ambiance and staff make it feel like a ristorante in a small town outside of Florence. Highly recommend.

Had the salmon. It was meh. Service was spotty. They were nice but we felt abandoned at times. The calamari salad was ordered at my table. The calamari was not chewy which is good. It was a large serving and had plenty of calamari. We appreciated that. The table was served bread, but we were also served bread in its packaging. That was weird. Coffee was good and we received the food very quickly. Parking is valet in the back for $ 3. There is also metered parking for $ 2 an hour but there is street cleaning on Thursdays during lunchtime. There is indoor and outdoor seating available.

This was one of my worst restaurant experiences. We had a coupon, and I was so looking forward to this place with my friends, and it was a huge disappointment. First, there is no excuse for overcharging credit cards. It took me two phone calls to get it straightened out. I understand we had a coupon, and divided the check four ways — but if they needed us to split it out more detailed the waiter should have told us that before he tried to right up the charges. All four people in my party had their charges messed up. Roberto the manager did call the bank and ask them to rush the corrections through, he was helpful when we called him about the problem. Not only did they not communicate with us about the bill splitting on our credit cards — but the minute we told them we had one of their online coupons we got bad attitude. The waiter told us that we had to each order entrees to be able to get the coupon, but then he just walked away and disappeared. It was like he didn’t want to talk to us and acted grumpy because we had a coupon. He was giving lots of attention to other tables. But we had to keep flagging him down. Maybe he thought he was going to get a reduced tip because of the coupon and he didn’t want to spend that much time on our table. We eat out often and know enough to tip on the full amount before the coupon. But now that we had all these problems, I am sorry that we left a good tip. Also, the menu they gave me was all messed up and stuck together. There was a white piece of paper in there advertising specials, and the waiter grabbed it and just said«oh you don’t want that». And then two of the menu pages were stuck together, and he had to pull them apart. I gave it two stars because the food was good, and they have a pretty courtyard area. I had the artichoke pasta, and it was delicious. Good wine selection too. But the bad service and credit card problems just erases all of that. The entire point of offering an online coupon is to win over new customers. But the four people in my party do not plan to ever go back.

I love the ambience. The restaurant is hidden behind some tall hedges that block the view from the street. I like the privacy of the outdoor area. I sat inside, which was also dark and nice. I’ve heard about this place because of their pasta. I tried their spaghetti, which was amazing. My friend ordered the rigatoni, which was also fantastic. We capped it off with the tiramisu. AWESOME. The lady fingers were not soggy, but full of coffee flavors. Big fan. Will try to come back to try out more dishes!

Triple charges — First it was uncomfortable going in on a coupon… this is not okay. Second, there was four of us and we paid our own bills. Found out we were all charged twice two different amounts. Manager explained why but I have not seen his excuse and it does not make sense.(I am an accounting professional) Now the small amount is gone the larger amount cleared my bank account and a new third amount is pending. Advise You to go with cash only, only if no other restaurants are open.

This place was a nice and quiet place to relax on a weekend afternoon, not crowded. The outside patio was warm and shaded, service was cordial. The bread basket was generous with oil and balsamic vinaigrette. Our first course was great, we shared a calamari salad, except they charged a $ 1 more on the bill than was on the menu. The calamari was warm and plentiful and mixed with arugula with a light dressing. I was a little more disappointed with my main entrée, the mushroom risotto, probably one of the worse i have had, it was watery and the rice was grainy. There was almost no flavor. My friend’s papardelle was much better. For dessert we had the hazelnut with chocolate tart, which was pretty good. This place is a bit overpriced for what it is. Validated parking x 1 hr behind the restaurant and above also, additional 30 min was $ 1.50.

Very authentic and very affordable, in Brentwood of all places. It’s a great business-lunch place because it doesn’t get too crowded and the outside seating is lovely, especially on a gorgeous LA day. And ignore my tip about parking; apparently there’s a huge lot and another building in the back. Their pizzas are particularly good with just the right amount of everything on it, including a heavenly thin crust that manages to still stay soft without falling apart. I’ve ordered their pastas before and they’re hearty with al dente pasta that’s very filling. And surprisingly, I like the salads here the most. We came here with a group for lunch and my one gripe was that it took forever to get my entrée, and I ordered a freakin’ salad! The gal who came a little late to the lunch(and ordered later) even got her pasta before my salad. How is that even possible?! Anyway, it bugged me. It also bugged me that I kept having to raise my hand and get someone’s attention for things like water refills and more napkins. All that aside though, it’s a good place for good Italian. I totally recommend it. And in Brentwood, where there’s an Italian joint every other block, that’s saying something.

Came out here for a family dinner. The restaurant is set with dim lighting so very romantic. I ordered the Pollo Mattone($ 24). It was not only a bit dry for me, but the seasoning was bland. Very disappointing, as I thought it was going to be a great dish(especially for $ 24). We also got the Caciucco($ 14). Seasoning was okay. Really nothing special. To be fair, there was a LOT of different seafood in the bowl. It just wasn’t that great. Just… ok. The great thing about this restaurant is the service. The sevice was absolutely amazing. Very professional and extremely catering. Great with kids. The stars are simply for the staff. However, having a great staff with average food is not going to be a reason for me to come back.

Came here long time ago. Don’t remember much of the details. Unfortunately I came here not with the right person. Eating experience wasn’t that pleasant. I remember the pasta was delicious. And I had a big portion of rice, which was also good. They have TV inside and out door seating is cute.
