Portions are big! The food was cold when it got to the table, I was thinking only my food but my sisters food was also cold. She loves coming here wish I read the reviews before I walked in would of went elsewhere. To top it off they charge you a dollar extra to use your card to pay! Service is slow! Waitress should be a little more attentive to guests. I won’t be returning here! Take my advice run and go elsewhere!

I liked this spot, it wasn’t the best by any means but I didn’t see anything I didn’t like. The food took some time to come out but that is typical of Salvadoran restaurants so I won’t fault them for it. When I went their was no beer but hopefully this has changed and the place is very well decorated.

Worst place ever they take a long time to give you a table… I’m never coming back, food is really nasty

I like this location. The servers are actually friendly and have great customer service skills unlike the other location (Western). I recommend this location to everyone.

Servicio terrible! Las meseras querian que esperaramos afuera cuando esta a 90+ afuera. He estado varias veces aqui, la comida esta bien rica. Pero las meseras son demasiado groseras, estamos pagando no nos estan regalando la comida. Se les tiene que pedir de 3 – 4 veces las cosas. No lo recomiendo. Es la ultima ves que boy aqui.

Food is 4 stars here but the service is horrible due to how slow they serve you the food. I order a additional horchata drink and reminded server two times and never got serve the second drink.

Was told to wait outside to be called for a seat. People came in after us and were seated. We went back inside and asked what was going on, they asked why we’re we waiting outside,… REALLY?! Asked for an horchata and a water, didn’t get the water. Reminded her about the water, took 20 minutes and a second reminder to get my water. Attitude galore, piss poor service, if it wasn’t for good food this place would not be here anymore. Never coming back.

Horrible service! Waited over 45 minutes for a takeout order, while we saw other people being served. Do not come here if you want any service, unless you want to wait a long time for your order!

Bad customer service and they don’t respect what the customer wants. I ordered a soup and asked if the could please put more vegetables than meat and the server stated that the plates are all ready made? When I received my order I received the complete opposite of what I asked for. 4 small pieces of vegetables full with meat. The corn was slimy with a horrible taste as if it had already expired. Told her about it she didn’t do anything. This place is getting worse every time and expensive for what they offer.

This Sonsonate grill visit was the worst experience! They have the worst customer service and the waitress was one woman with an attitude who can’t keep her mouth shut. I feel bad writing this review because I don’t like writing negative reviews but this was just one bad experience.

I give this restaurant only a few stars for the reason that the food it’s good but the service sucks big monkey balls. They take forever to have your order ready even if you do it by phone. They say that It’ll be 30 minutes, but after an hour and a half. It’s finally ready. They are well under staff and management know this and don’t care. Sometimes they don’t even take phone orders and if you go anyway and wait for the food at the restaurant for take out. All I can say is more power to you. You’re likely to be there till pigs fly.

Love the food!!! Service is a bit slow… So it’s best to order everything at once. Like that they don’t take forever. Everything pretty much comes out at once (including your drinks lol) the 4 stars are for the food not the service.
Because the waitresses can sometimes have an attitude, that’s why they get low gratuity.

Great food! I’ve patronized this restaurant for several years now and every time its the same thing. I’ve never been disappointed with what I ordered and they usually don’t get anything wrong.
However, if you’re willing to wait like 20 years or so for robot servers and waiters I would have to say please do come back then… if it’s still open. The service here is bad. Not Michael Jackson BAD, but like, bad bad. And you know what, I wouldn’t blame it entirely on the waiters and staff. I’m going to go ahead and blame management. For this problem to be this systematic that it’s spanned several years and many, many different employees, it’s something beyond just rude servers and waiters.
They honestly must not be paying the folks much. Maybe there skimming their tips. Maybe due to the area they aren’t getting much tips. Whatever the reason, it’s a management issue.

Do something about your terrible customer service asap or your wont have a restaurant to manage.

Initially I came here with my boyfriends family and friends to have a nice decent dinner. But after arriving I had the biggest deception ever. We were sat and as the waitress was taking our order she gave us an attitude. I literally timed this girl after our order was taken. It took her 15minutes to bring out the drinks and she forgot 3drinks. It took her another 15min to come back with those drinks. So You could imagine The test.

Had an awesome tasting cold coco!!! The food is always great, but the service and ambiance are a bit stale. Play some music and service could be a friendlier. In addition, I don’t understand why they have a $ 40 min charge on debit and credit cards. So very inconvenient.

This review is for when I went on Friday dec. 12 2014.(3 days before my birthday)
First don’t go here if u want good costumer service because u won’t get it trust me.
So when you get there n you are new n don’t know what to do YOU HAVE TO SIT YOUR SELF but they don’t tell you that they just stare at you as if you an idiot. So you sit down, wait n wait until somebody comes with the menus (now don’t let them go order right there or they will disappear and not comeback for like 10 to 15 mins. Later) (trust me). with attitude the waitress will take the order, and so you wait for your food for a long time I get it is Salvadoran food it takes a while. But dam they take a while. When they bring your food the ladies there they toss it on your table as if your their ex-​husband or something (now this the least time your waitress will b at you table she won’t comeback to check on you not even for the check so if want something else this is it and when I say this is it I mean this is it you’ll end up getting up to go and pay because they are «too busy. So the food yeah is really good it taste really good is probably why this place is still around really because the waitresses are rude they have bad attitude so when is time 2 pay is better for you to get up and go to the cashier because the waitress won’t even look at you. Also they only take credit card for up to 40 $ because the owner is pinching pennies he has a ATM machine for you to make your withdraws and he profits from you doing that so if you go take cash and don’t feel bad for not tipping the waitresses they don’t deserve it you’ll see why if you go. But me and a lot of people are not going back the décor and good food are not enough this days. It’ll close down soon.

Beautiful atmosphere.. The reason for the 2 stars is for the POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! The waitresses are not friendly and obviously hate their job. My waitress was very rude as I was paying (credit) she didn’t ask for my signature, I told her that I needed to sign the recipe and she responded with the biggest attitude «nobody signs it but if you want here’s the pen» and walks away to stand on the other side of the counter. Management should not only invest on making the restaurant look great but also on their poorly trained staff.

This review is simply for the waitress Cindy. I really have no clue if it was her time of the month, woke up on the wrong side of the bed, didn’t get any last night or simply happens to be a total Puta with her attitude. I don’t know.
I came home looking through the reviews and this waitress attitude problems is listed in several reviews. This sure will be the beginning of an end to this restaurant.
As for the food, it is by far the best food. Today, I called a friend and we drove from Huntington Beach just to come eat here little did we know we would encounter poor customer service.

Bad customer service. Waitress are rude and take too long to take your order. When you do a take out order they make you wait a lot (standing). When I order by phone and I go to pick it up, it’s the same long waiting thing.
Restrooms: nasty, bad odor and paper toI let everywhere.

My girl and I went there trying to get Pupusas last Saturday afternoon. There were no tables available at the time but the Bar was empty so we asked if we could sit there and have a few drinks while we were waiting for a table and the waitress told us that unless we were going to eat at the bar we couldn’t order drinks… Very stupid policy. (Any American restaurant you go to in LA you can have some drinks while you wait and close your tab there or move your tab to whatever table you get) We liked the place as it was our fourth time there but this threw us off, nice environment and decoration but it needs to be dusted. The speakers above the bar are rather filthy.
Also waitresses need to check more on customers, they only show up to get the order, drop the food, when you ask for the Bill and to get the check.

The pupusas were good. I can say they are on the bombusas side. They was really bomba!!! I had a queso con lorocco and revuelta and I had the chicharron con yucca plate. Now, yeah, it was a lot. I had to take it home and eat it for laters. The portions are good. Why go somewhere and pay so much for so little.
The setting in here reminds me of a club or something. Very nice. I also had the ensalada. I couldn’t finish that either. The pastelitos… same thing. Took it home. Let’s just say everything I had was uneaten and I had to take it all home. Good food here for the right price.
My friend had told me about this place and I gave it a try on a Sunday afternoon. I am glad I came and have returned since. Y eso que we both are picky pupuseros!!! Ba pues!!!
