(Rating only based on food I had) Yuzu flavor protein only bowl with albacore and ahi tuna — B– Poke is so hot right now, new store pops up everywhere. This is one of better rating joint. Poke bowl are mixed to order. Both albacore and ahi tuna are fresh and cool in temperature, quality is good enough for poke. The meat is light in flavor, I would recommend making dressing stronger, afterall it’s just poke, be bold with sauce. It’s almost $ 14 for protein only, for the size I can’t say it’s great value, but alright. I admin customizing your own poke bowl, from meat choice to sauce and sides, can’t fun, but not always turns out tasty. I would suggest Snociety to create their own bowl on their menu, sometimes customers need you to turn on their taste bud.

I decided to pop in after hearing rave reviews from multiple friends whom I trust in terms of new foodie destinations, so I knew I had to come check this place out. I came in for a late lunch on a weekday with a friend, and it was surprisingly empty. Throughout my meal, only a couple other people came in. So there’s a tidbit of advice — come at odd hours if you want to avoid waiting! Upon first glance at the menu, what immediately caught my attention was the selection of bases and proteins. Soba noodles as a base and scallops and squid as protein aren’t very common amongst poke joints, as far as my experience goes, which was awesome to see. After a long period of deliberation, I ultimately decided on the Snociety bowl with tuna and salmon, with almost all the toppings, on top of a bed of hearty brown rice. I almost ordered a drink as well, since I’ve heard good things about the boba here, but I decided against it at the last second. One of the first things I realized about my poke when I first got it was how the pieces of fish were cut in uneven sizes, which means some bites were just huge chunks of fish, while others had just a mere sliver. But, everything was still very fresh, so in the end, this didn’t bother me all that much, though this would probably be my biggest critique as an area for improvement. Another significant thing I noticed was how sweet my bowl was, which I think was a combination of the Snociety sauce which is already pretty sweet and the mango/pineapple toppings. So when ordering, just beware of this combination and make your judgement on how sweet you want your meal to be. I wasn’t expecting this when I ordered, so it caught me a little off guard, but it wasn’t bad by any means. On that note, they also are a little heavy-handed on the amount of sauce they mix into the bowl, so if you don’t want the last few bites to end up in flavor overload, ask them to be a little light on the sauce. I know it sounds like I have quite a few qualms about this place, but overall, I enjoyed my meal, and this is an awesome spot in DTLA if you’re looking to satisfy your poke craving. I’d definitely come back to try some other flavor combinations, and to try their boba drinks!

If you’re going to offer onions as a topping for your poke bowl, they should be green onions and NOT cheap white onions. The taste is too overpowering for the delicate fish. Even though all the ingredients were very fresh, and the selection was broad enough to build a variety of different bowls… the sauces they topped the bowl with were really bland and I think maybe even watered down.

I really wanted to like this place, but sadly I couldn’t. :’(This was one of the poke joints I have been wanting to hit up for a while now, and I decided to go today… at the worst hour of the day — lunch time, right at noon. Upon walking in, there wasn’t a line or anything, but there were several customers waiting for their bowls. I ordered the Yuzu with Salmon and Shrimp… such a bummer they don’t have Yellowtail. There are standard add ons such as masago, ginger, seaweed, onions, and furikake. There are also other add ons that are free of charge: Kale, Cherry Tomatoes, Pineapple, Mango, Cucumbers, Jalepenos, and Edamame. I was so excited to see pineapple and mango as an addition, but sad to say it didn’t taste as good as I thought it would. Also, the salmon was a major disappointment, the quality was definitely not there. I could already tell by the pale pink color of my salmon. The texture of the salmon was just… weird, I can’t even put it into words ahhah. The shrimp were big(great), but lacked flavor. The yuzu sauce is a little too citrusy for my liking… & I usually get Yuzu with my poke bowls. Not sure if I would come back, but if I do maybe I should get the Aloha… Another big factor which led to my disappointment was the turn around time… i waited waaaay too long, it took me exactly 30 min to get my bowl. 30 min to get my bowl and it wasn’t that great… pretty disappointed, but presentation is beautiful, gotta admit. I was talking to a customer who told me their turn around time is always very slow, even when it’s not rush hour… Maybe they need to hire more employees? I don’t know. Also, I ordered the small and it was $ 9(not counting tax&tip). I mean $ 9 is pretty decent pricing for a poke bowl, but like I said earlier, the quality did not justify the prices… Overall, workers are really friendly. I really wish they were more like a «salad bar» concept, maybe it’ll be faster? Parking is always a pain around Little Tokyo. I had to pay the meter twice because 15 min was not enough time to have my order ready.

an easy and cheap option when you’re looking for something kind of healthy like t.o.t right across the street got the larger size(the small is way too tiny. like a child’s size) salmon/ahi/bluefin tuna with ½ brown rice & ½ salad with yuzu sauce light, fresh and filling for $ 11

I was in the area for Marugame Monzo. When the wait looked like it would be at least 30 minutes, I decided to explore the area. When I saw a girl walk past me with a bowl of poke, I immediately decided that I had to go there and grab a bowl to take home. My friend and I stumbled upon Snociety and plunged right inside. Just like other poke places, you pick the size of your bowl(small comes with 2 scoops, large comes with 3 scoops). I decided to go for the small since the larger bowl with 3 scoops was $ 11 + tax. Not used to those high prices! So yeah, I was really surprised at how overpriced their small bowl was! Most places give you 3 scoops for the $ 9 price they have for just 2 scoops. The bowl itself was tiny. maybe half the size I am used to getting and no avocado?! You have the pay extra for that while most places include avocado in their price. Bowls are small + no avocado = an unsatisfied me. My friend ordered their watermelon cucumber green tea and was also disappointed. They used syrup so it just didn’t taste right to her. The guys making my poke bowl and her drink took a really long time but they were nice when handing us our food. Also the salmon and ahi tuna I ended up picking were fresh and good quality. I’ll give them that. But yeah, it’s one of those places just to try once and then you realize you’ll probably never come back.

I’m going to say it guys. This is THEBEST poke place out there. And I’ve tried a lot of poke places since it became a thing in 2015. Better than the others to the east of it and to the west of it. I love the flavor Snociety has! I get the large bowl with half white rice and half salad. Get my chef’s special(was albacore tuna), salmon, and scallops. The Snociety dressing and all toppings. I also got the Island dressing on the side too which was good but not the Snociety one good. Portion matches the prices and the individual content of each ingredient was top notch! I chose to drink the watermelon cucumber green tea and that also did not disappoint. Definitely a top favorite. Several tables inside and outside. A great lunch spot for DTLA worker bees. Street parking as of most places around the area. I’ll be back for a lot more!

I love this place because it has an amazing jasmine green tea and delicious poke bowls with unique flavors. The service was great too. The Jasmine green tea had a strong, smooth tea taste. However, it was VERY sweet, next time I will be asking for half sweet. As for the poke bowl… amazing. I didn’t know you could put poke on top of soba? Also the snociety sauce… really brought the poke and soba together. I have one complaint… the poke was frozen in the middle. However, will ask for thawed poke next time as well. Doesn’t really take away from my extremely positive experience though. Amazing boba and poke in one stop? My life is complete.

FINALLY A DANKPOKEPLACEINDOWNTOWNLA!!! I’m ecstatic about this because previously I had to venture all the way to Venice or Long Beach to get some quality Poke. This place is just like the other poke places – choose your protein, base, sauce, toppings. There is a good selection of proteins available(salmon, tuna, scallops, squid etc), and the quality of the fish is amazing, not to mention that they come in huge chunks. I got brown rice per usual but this place also had soba noodles as an option. There are several flavors of sauces available, and I got shoyu because it’s my favorite. My friend got one that was creamy and mayo-y and it was really delicious, too! Just make sure you ask them to hold off on the sauce cause they put way too much in my friend’s bowl. There’s a bunch of toppings available, and I recommend adding the pineapples because it adds a nice touch of sweetness and makes it less heavy. This place also sells boba. So excited cause this place is reasonably priced and super delicious. Definitely coming back soon!

You know a place is delicious, when you keep coming back for more. This is the case for Snociety. I’ve been a numerous times and each time has been excellent. Each bowl is packed with a generous amount of fish. The chunks are HUGE. I’ve tried the Aloha, Snociety, and Yuzu flavors. All were delicious, I enjoyed Snociety the most. The mango flavor with the fish is extremely refreshing and it strangely works well together. As for the Yuzu flavor, I enjoyed the citrusy taste, but my tongue was a little numb afterwards. Aloha is more a traditional shoyu and sesame, which tastes fantastic. What am I saying? Everything was delicious, fish is super fresh, toppings are given in generous proportions, and service is great. What is better than FRESHFISH? CHUNKSOFFISH? GENEROUSPORTIONS? UNIQUEFLAVORS? PROFESSIONALSERVICE? NOTHING!!! Don’t waste your time at others places that scoop your fish in melon ball scoopers. Give Snociety a try! You won’t regret it and you will be running back for more!

Stopped by here 2 nights ago on the same day I attended a Unilocal elite event also in DTLA. Was craving some yummy poke… They give you a variety of options to choose from. You are allowed to choose 3 proteins, mix half/half for base, as many toppings and add-on’s all free of additional charge except for Avocado & Kimchi. 2 sizes — small vs large. Had to opt for the large bowl at $ 11(small is $ 8) FISH/PROTEIN: Ahi Tuna, Salmon, Shrimp, Squid, Tofu, Scallop, Daily Specials Base options: White rice, brown rice, soba noodles, mixed greens Toppings options: Masago, seaweed, onion, sweet ginger, furikake, sesame seeds, crushed macademia nuts Add-ons: Kale, cherry tomato, cucumbers, edamame, pineapple, mango, jalepeno, crispy garlic Additional $ 1 add-on’s: Avocado, kimchi SAUCES — Aloha: shoyu, sea salt, sesame oil — Snociety — spicy mango, sesame ponzu, tagarashi — Island — wasabe, pineapple, cream, black sesame — Earthy — creamy, sesame, sea salt, crispy garlic — Yuzu — citrus yuzu shoyu, yuzu hot pepper, sesame oil — Supaishi — sriracha togarashi cayenne-aioli WHAT I ORDERED: I chose salmon, ahi tuna, and albacore tuna(daily special) for my 3 fish/proteins. Half white rice, half soba noodles. All toppings. Cherry tomato, cucumber, mango, edamame. Sauce — snociety. VERDICT Salmon was pretty good(3⁄5 stars) — probably more fresh than most I’ve had when they’re in «poke» bowls. Not too creamy like I usually prefer though. Ahi tuna and albacore tuna were 4/5’s. Alot of places that serve poke end up with darker colored looking ahi tuna’s(not very fresh, been out for too long), but not Snociety! The entire bowl was very delightful to consume, love the snociety sauce with spicy mango! The soba noodles were a nice touch, rather than being stuck just with rice. Will be coming back! Solid spot for poke bowls. *STREETPARKINGONLY*- located across from Pinkberry
