Pretty cool how Slapfish is in terminal 2! For those who want decent food and not generic fast food like Pick up Stix this is a good option. Their prices are not that much higher than their other restaurants since usually airport food is marked up. I got the Clobster grilled cheese with fries. They didn’t skimp on seafood but the lettuce didn’t belong because it seems they grilled the sandwich along with the lettuce so the lettuce ends up being warm. Sandwich came with a side of fries that were soo hard.

Oh so disappointing Today’s counter serve system requires generous customers to return to the original intention of TIPping. To Insure Prompt Service… unfortunately the old days are gone It took nearly 45 minutes to get three lackluster sandwiches. $ 20 for a grilled shrimp sandwich??? I know airport food is priced higher than the real world but charge an extra buck and deliver on the potential of the meal. No lettuce no tomatoes. The food container is only slightly larger than a $ 20 bill. Food cost 19 percent satisfaction 67 percent. No Attempt to correct. That said my son loved the clobster & cheese. Next time pick up stixs or one of the better value options in terminal two

A solid place to get food in the airport. They don’t skimp on the seafood in their food items and they serve their drinks stiff. I’ve sat at the bar a few times and the bartenders are always very friendly and quick to chat. The only issue is they basically rape your wallet but hey — when in LA, right? Cheers!

Ate here today, worst breakfast I’ve had probably ever! The Bloody Mary was literally undrinkable(I am not super picky either!). The slapfash breakfast was small and allowed no substitutions(I usually can substitute fruit for potatoes or toast, not so here). I will say the breakfast burrito was edible, husband was kinder said it was«not bad». The $ 60 bill for the 2 drinks and 2 breakfasts added insult to injury. I highly recommend skipping this and heading over across the aisle to Starbucks instead. My daughters enjoyed a bagel and coffee, we should have too!

So if you are flying Avianca this may be your best option for a good breakfast. Don’t be fooled the immediate appearance of this spot is that it’s a bar. Flying out from a nearby terminal all I saw was Starbucks which in this particular occasion wasn’t what I was hoping for breakfast. Ended up checking their menu and the breakfast sandwich was recommended by the guy working there so I went with it and was not disappointed. The location has more of a bar look for they do have a few breakfast options. Definitely worth you stopping by rather than the alternate option. Staff was very friendly and nice, very informative as well. I would definitely recommend this to everyone in the nearby terminals. I will be back for sure.

It’s a two man show in the front of the house at Slapfish. The pre-dinner crowd was here mostly for cocktails and small bites. Who am I kidding, all the menu items appear to be small bites. I have been avidly following Slapfish on social media and eager to try it out. However at $ 20 for a sandwich, the Chinese in me says… ugh…no. I get that it is seafood, but it does not look like the sandwiches offer much bang for your buck. When I asked the cashier how big the sandwich was, what she showed me seemed to be less than 6 inches. Granted, there is apparently a whole lobster in each one. She told me the Clobster was much more tasty than the lobster roll. I wasn’t super hungry so I opted for the Chowder Fries. The fries were decent. Exactly that it sounds like, fries in clam chowder with bacon bites on top. Presentation made it look alluring. Hindsight says, not worth the $ 9. My bf ordered a Bloody Mary(at $ 15 it seemed bloody expensive). Ok, not the priciest drink since we are in LA and at an airport. It looked good when we saw someone else get their drink. Made with Blue Ice Potato Gluten Free Vodka(WTH is that? So annoyingly hipster)…he said it tasted good. But here is my qualm-the girl delivered the drink sans bacon… despite the fact that bacon is in every Slapfish picture(menu on the wall, ad on the table top). I asked the bf if he asked for no bacon. He said no and pointed out that the cashier wasn’t as nice to him as she was for me. It was not that busy-I was perplexed. I asked the guy busing a nearby table if bacon was a standard item in the Bloody Mary’s. He said yes and brought us a piece. It just didn’t add up to a stellar experience for me. Granted, the guy corrected his co-worker’s error. I don’t think I’ll continue to follow Slapfish on Social Media anymore. Over it.

The first time I was here a few weeks ago, it was packed and the staff was overwhelmed. The service wait time was long but I had time to kill, so it wasn’t a big deal. This time it was considerably less crowded and the service was quick and courteous. Each time I ordered a plain grilled cheese with fries(I’m never adventurous with food before boarding a flight) and each time was delicious. They have a full bar and with beer in taps and bottled. It’s a smaller bar/eatery but the décor is cute and coastal rustic. So if you are ever in terminal 2 at LAX, skip Pick Up Stix and give Slapfish a try!

I’d give the food a solid 5 star. I got a lobster grit and it was so tasty! I just wish it weren’t so expensive. I think I might have to go to the original restaurant and give it a second try. Hopefully the prices were that high just because it was inside LAX.

Slapfish at LAX is the best. Service is great, and their food is delicious. The environment has a positive vibe, and the décor is awesome. Makes you feel as if you’re in an actual shack. My husband and I had the Breakfast Shrimp Burrito and I was blown away by the taste. It is pricey, but the size of the burrito is huge! I would definitely come back for the food and quality service.

During my most recent trip to LAX, I was genuinely surprised to see a Slapfish in Terminal 2. I was truly looking for The Pie Hole – and was disappointed to see that they were not open yet during the time of my visit – but I was excited that Slapfish was now available! I had been to the Newport Beach location before and loved the food there. Even though I was at LAX in the morning for an early flight, I figured I could get something off the Slapfish menu that would suffice as breakfast. As it turned out, this was my chance to try those glorious«Chowder Fries» that I hadn’t been able to get my hands on before. There were some people eating in Slapfish when I visited the airport location, but I appreciated how seating was plentiful. The prices were higher than what I imagined them to be at the Newport location, but then again, maybe things were more expensive because this was the airport location. I already knew what I wanted to get, so I wasted no time placing my order. My order took some time to come out, but I had extra time to wait before my flight, so I didn’t mind. I would gladly revisit this Slapfish if I ever find myself in Terminal 2 again. It’s clean and well lit, and I had no complaints about my food. Here’s what I got: «Chowder Fries»: This popular snack features hand-cut fries smothered in creamy clam chowder and bacon. I already know that I love the fries from this place, based on my first visit, but I was really excited to try the clam chowder. These«Chowder Fries» ended up being the perfect savory breakfast because I didn’t eat again until I got back to Hawaii(and had an early dinner). The fries were thicker and not super crispy, which just the way I prefer them to be. The chowder was piping hot and tasted fresh, so I had to eat my breakfast slowly so my mouth wouldn’t get burned. I loved the plentiful chunks of bacon that they sprinkled all over the chowder. Talk about creamy, salty and savory in every single bite! I would definitely order this again; it’s sufficient for a smaller meal for one or as an appetizer if you’re sharing with someone else. «Lobster Roll»: I’m sure the lobster here is divine, and this lobster roll is made with 100 percent real lobster. You can get your roll in different ways, but I would probably want mine either hot with drawn butter or chilled with awesome sauce. It’s probably one of the pricier items on the menu, but I’m sure the Slapfish version wouldn’t disappoint. «Shrimp Roll»: I do love shrimp, so I would want to try this roll at some point. You have your choice of grilled or fried shrimp, and even though I know it’s not the healthy option, I would want the fried version. I would probably get this roll with the classic homemade tartar sauce or the«awesome sauce,» which is a creamy chile sauce. «Fish & Chips»: I know the fish and chips from Slapfish is good, just because my mom ordered it before. I would get the double if I were really hungry; the entrée featured grilled or fried flaky whitefish served with scratch-made tartar sauce and real fries. I was pleased to see how generous the fish portion was. If I were starving, I know two of these pieces would fill me up just fine. Plus, I really liked the fries and tartar sauce – it was creamy and perfect for spreading or dipping – so I wouldn’t think twice about ordering this entrée again from the airport location.

Not as great as the ‘real’ Slapfish(es) in Laguna, etc, but pretty awesome for airport food. Get down with a lobster roll, some tacos, chowder, or even just for a few drinks. You’ll rarely fo better in any airport, and you literally WON’T do better at LAX. Only derogatory here is the prices are inflated, but hey — that’s airport rent for you.

Food is pretty good but not for the price, which I’m able to understand at an airport. However the server behind the bar was horrible. Very short, just threw the food on the table and walked away, I had to ask for everything including getting a drink after sitting for 10 minutes. If it had been busy I would understand but it was not. Seemed like a cool place.

The food was delicious. We had the clobster grilled cheese sandwich while waiting for our flight. The lady taking our order was not nice at all, had a bad attitude.

I love this restaurant!!! Amazing food, décor and ambience. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu which is always a plus! The fish taco is AMAZING! I wish I would have taken pictures but it was so good I ate everything before I had the chance! If you are traveling through terminal 2 I highly recommend stopping here! You will not regret it. Ps. Get the chowder fries!!!

Having been to this restaurant in Huntington Beach already, I was happy to see it in the airport. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised that LAX renovated Terminal 2 into a modern posh area. SlapfishX had just opened this week. Though their menu is much smaller than the restaurant, it had fish taco, lobster taco, clam chowder, fries, salad, etc. The(grilled) fish taco was delicious and was a light dinner for me since I just ordered 1 and was a bit pricey, ~$ 8. I would stop by again if I end up in Terminal 2 again.
