She did such an amazing job, I have a very asymmetric modern cut and she shaped it up perfectly. And you cannot beat the price

I’ve gotten my hair cut here twice, moving to LA from OC i needed a new go to place to get my hair cut so I found this place on Unilocal.Gave it a shot and liked it quite a bit so I went back. I’m a pretty good looking guy so I guess it’s hard to give me a bad haircut TOTALLYKIDDING! ha ha! but the ladies here are both really nice and try to cut your hair in however style you like, also free parking in the back alley so YAY

Called to see if they were available for a haircut and the conversation went like this: «Hi can I come in for a haircut today around 5 pm or later?» «Yes what time?» «Does 5:30 work?» «No, can you come in right now?» «No, but I can do 5» «No, come now. Ok bye.» Hangs up on me.

Apparently, my parents have gone to the three sisters who run this beauty salon for over 30 years. I don’t have any recollection of them, so I’m not sure if I’ve ever visited them before, or else it must have been when I was really young. When we walked in, they immediately greeted us and said long time no see, it’s been like what, 8 or 9 years since you’ve been here! Wow, how’s that for memory? Amazing. While we were waiting for my dad’s haircut, they were chatting about the old times about how my parents used to go to their two previous store locations. And they asked about our family and stuff, and my father asked about their family in return. I was in awe of all the details that they all remembered… like stuff from 20 years ago! Such a friendly atmosphere here that I’ve never encountered before.(But then again, I always go to different salons to get my haircut, so I’ve never been a regular anywhere.) My father was really pleased with his haircut, which cost less than $ 10. I only saw a bunch of old people in the salon when we went, but it could have been because it was a Thursday afternoon.

Sisters Beauty Salon is a great place for a trim, cut, or a new hairstyle! I’ve come here several times and i’ve always gone home happy. My boyfriend gets his hair cut here too. Nice styling and nice prices! Lin and Sharon are both great and I highly recommend them. The ladies are all really nice and it makes me happy go to a family owned salon. Not to mention, they’re located in the historic LA Chinatown so I love walking around looking at cool shops and eating yummy foods after, with my awesome new haircut. :) Thumbs up.

I’ve had super long hair lately because I’m weary about getting my hair cut at new places, but since I move so often, I have to try new places. For some reason, no matter how much I pay, I always come out of salons looking like a total FOB-KA-BOB. I’ve been mistaken on several occasions(due to FOB styled hair cut) for just arriving here in the states, no joke! Okay, getting to my review on Sister’s Beauty Salon… I decided to come here based off the Unilocal reviews and I can honestly say, I’m super happy I did! I just walked right on in, no appointment and they were able to accommodate me promptly. This place is pretty basic, no frills, and the ladies are super sweet! Pam did my hair. She cut off about a foot of my hair and shaped it so my hair looked more vibrant and full! I left that salon whipping my hair around as if I was in some Pantene commercial! Loved it! Great hairstyle for a great price, I’m definitely coming back!

The lady who cut my hair did it extremely quickly and efficiently. It turned out even better than I had expected. Haircut was only $ 12. Highly recommend.

Pam did my hair which is permed asian hair and she did an excellent job. She was very attentive and detailed in her technique. She also followed the natural flow of my hair(the parting and the curl of the hair strands) so it wasn’t a surprise what it would look like dried and styled.

I just wanted a 3 inch straight trim to my hair, and was not going to pay $ 50 for a haircut. I walked in just needing a trim and walked out with a great hair cut style for $ 10! Mrs. Yoong, one of the owners sat me down and gave me my options. I decided to get a layered hair cut and left it to her. My hair cut came out fabulous. My layered was sharp and even. The quality of the cut would have cost me anywhere from $ 40-$ 60 at usually the salons that I go to. What a great find thanks to my aunt who goes there for a senior citizen haircut for $ 8. Mine was $ 10 and I have a lot more length of hair then her… lol The salon is very plain but it’s clean and bright. And the middle aged sisters’ owners are friendly and sweet.

It’s owned and run by three sisters in Chinatown for over 25 years. i and everyone in my 20+ person family has gotten a haircut, color, or perm here at some point. The ladies are super sweet and friendly. I’ve been there a lot and there’s a big mix of clients: men, women, kids, adults, grandparents, etc. No reservations, great price. Great neighborhood salon with a lot of history
