I LOVE this place. There is a wide variety and the price is reasonable. I like to get the Chinatown. Since the portions are huge, I separate my salad into two containers and either share with someone or save the other half for later. I like that they delivery to nearby business. The only thing is dont wait until lunch time to place your order because they get busy.

One of my fave lunch places downtown. Especially great if you have a lot of people ordering because it is easy to accommodate all dietary needs. My favorite is the Hipster with the Pomegranate dressing. It is so good you don’t even need the dressing – I think it’s the chicken that really makes it so tasty. One if co workers gets the chicken Caesar every time. He swears by it. Parking is typically bad, but fortunately they deliver.

Love this place. Great options and fast. They get really busy during lunch, but it’s still pretty quick. You get a nice portion in a tight bowl. Chopped salad

I LOOOOOOOOOOVESIMPLYSALAD! I love all the preset salads there and the option to mix my own! As a guy who is health conscious I recently came across an article that read, «Foods that help/promote healthy testosterone.» After seeing the list of the ingredients, I was happy to see that Simply Salad had most of them! I topped it off with the tahini dressing and it was b o m b. c o m The ONLY reason i took one star off is bc the location sucks. I dont work/live in downtown so i’m always forced to pay for parking. Otherwise, the establishment itself is A+++

He said: I feel like those animals on the Discovery Channel. Eating all green stuff. I ordered the white man burrito(salad wrap) with chicken and some chips. Overall, it’s coo. 4⁄5 She said: This place is a quick and easy shop to get freshly made salads and wraps. It’s a refreshing getaway from the bougie Arts District cafes and shops, if that’s what you’re looking for. I love the different a textures of the El Paso salad. Always go with light dressing. I didn’t care for the complimentary pita bread though. Props to bike deliveries and generous portions. 4⁄5

Today is a 3. A little stiff of the fill. Salad bowl looked half filled. Not a happy camper today. My new favorite spot for lunch. But today was a bit disappointing

Forgot to add 3 ingredients. Came back to make sure they add whats missing, i had to ask 3 times because they kept forgetting, worst thing is it was written on the sheet in front of his eyes. When im ready to leave, they forgot the dressing. Like common guys!!! Other then that, nice staff and good food. But i dont have time for that, so i wont go there again.

I’ve become a Simply Salad regular over the last year and their salads are average priced for a Downtown LA restaurant. I go back and forth between«The Hipster» and the«El Paso» salad. You can also make your own. I sometimes eat in, do pick up or have it delivered depending on my mood. I once picked up my order, and when I got to the office noticed my dressing was not included(I get my dressing on the side). I called to notify them about my situation and they had my dressing delivered within 15 minutes. I appreciated their customer service!

So happy I stopped here this evening! I had been craving a large salad packed with veggies — I created my own with all my favorites. The salad is better than expected and the friendly service was excellent!!!

Simply Salad does one thing, and does it well. Their salads are large and filling, and the ingredients are fresh. There’s a wide selection of ingredients to choose from should you decide to make your own as well as 10+ pre-designed salads. There’s also the option to get a wrap instead of a salad, which is usually slightly cheaper but also smaller portioned. Salads run from about $ 8-$ 11 which is a decent price for the quantity. As there are so many options for vegetables, meats, and dressings, and all the salads are fully customizable, it’s hard to end up with something you don’t enjoy. I’m partial to the Thai Peanut and Far East dressings. Sometimes, the free pita bread that comes with the salads can be stale. In addition, the salads can be chopped too finely, making them hard to eat with a fork. These are minor issues though, and overall the portion sizes, freshness, and high degree of customizability make this a very solid option when you’re in the mood for a salad.

Ok I love simply salad and used to come here frequently for Lunch but I got food poisoning here. I know it was the salad because it was the only thing I ate that day. I contacted the manager and he pretty much said that he’s been managing for 3 years and never seen anyone get sick which made me feel like he was implying I was lying about it. Anyway he ended up saying could get a refund or a free salad but I got so sick from the salad that I’m traumatized. I called him multiple times and left him messages but I never got my refund.(It’s been months) I won’t be returning but their El Paso salad was rly good and it was my favorite if u do go here.

I used to order here weekly. I need delivery because of the nature of my work in the Fashion District. I never used to have any issues and would not mind delivery taking up to an hour because Simply Salad is one of the only healthier options around. The last two times I tried to order here I was met with reluctance by the owner because of my order amount(the employees are always sweet and willing to serve me). The last time, after a long wait over the phone the owner eventually picked up and told me it would be better if I could order two entrees. I can’t force anyone to like salad! I work with a lot of Leslie Knopes. Needless to say, my last two attempts trying to place orders here were futile and I was essentially told to take my 10 bucks elsewhere. So sadly, I’m done trying. While I understand that you have to be efficient and business savvy, you cannot expect me not to find that attitude unreasonable when I had been getting delivery with no problems previously. If you want to avoid further confusion, I suggest posting a real delivery minimum(which your menu currently lacks). That would be conducive to ensuring happy and loyal customers. TL;DR Healthy, good fare warrants revisits. No official delivery minimum but regardless you better make it $ 20 bucks and up for them to accept your delivery order.

So I just moved in to the building that houses Simply Salad and I was really looking forward to having a healthy food options just downstairs from me. Ordered the Thai Wrap with medium dressing. First thing to note, service was great. The people who made my wrap were incredibly nice and kindly overstuffed the wrap a bit just so I’d get a little more bang for my buck. So far so good. The wrap itself? Very, very average. I don’t know if it need more dressing or what, but it was pretty damn bland. BUT… I’m not one to write off the place on one semi-disappointing wrap. I’ll try one of the salads sans wrap and see if that doesn’t change my perception. In the meantime, the bump from two to three stars comes from service. Hopefully the next go around changes my opinion on the food because this is way too convenient to avoid.

Well… they are salads, but they’re not so simple. These things are packed with ingredients and lots of flavor. I ordered The Buff — basically a buffalo chicken salad — with a side of ranch. Just the right amount of spicy, and not too heavy — it’s still technically a salad, after all. Lettuce was crisp and crunchy as it should be and all of the other ingredients were fresh as well: jalapeños, cheese, chicken, and so many other things I can’t even remember. It’s a pretty big portion and I could have saved half of it for later, but I’m a pig so I ate it all in one sitting. Somehow it still felt like a light meal, though. I’ll be back to try the salmon and the steak salad later.

I always appreciate a great bowl of salad and this place did not disappoint me. It’s really hard to mess up a salad; as long as you have fresh ingridents and the right combination you’re good to go. What this place differs from other salad places is that after they have every ingridents in the big bowl, they pour it all out and chop it for you! Although it might sounds really trivial, to me it’s a deal breaker. One of the things I don’t like about eating salad is that you have to fish for the different ingridents and be able to fit them all on your fork at once to taste them all at the same time. Chopping everything into little pieces completely solve this problem! Now when I make salad at home I do the same thing and magically it tasted better.

I have been eating here for a few years now and I have yet to be disappointed! the weight of the salads are bigger than most and will guarantee to fill you up… Besides the massive size of these things the ingredients are always fresh, the service is always delightful(more so at the Simply Salad on Hope), the price is right and the options are colorful and full of variety. With that being said, I have my favorite which I order EVERYSINGLETIME I COME!!! Drum roll please… ((The Hipster Salad, substitute feta for the blue cheese, extra crispy wontons, light pomegranate vinaigrette, hold the pita.)) Tried and True. You must check this place out!

I used to go here all the time when I lived in DTLA. After working on a project in the area this past month I’ve had the chance to stop by and grab some lunch here several times. The main issue with simply salad here and the one located on 9th st. is that they don’t put enough meat in your salad. So make sure to ask for extra meat if you want to be able to taste that in your salad or wrap. Otherwise taste wise everything is great and fresh.

This place can get really busy, but that’s a good sign. I recently tried out this place after my co-worker suggested it. I’ve recently had a craving for salads, and I’ve just been getting the double chicken ultimate salad from El Pollo Loco, which isn’t bad I might add. This place is pretty darn good. It’s like a chipotle but for salad. You have a choice to get a salad or a wrap. You can build your own, or pick from a pre-determined menu. I chose to get the downtown cob, and it was delicious. All the ingredients appeared fresh and crisp. This place takes on the salad game a little different though. Once you pick what you want, they place all the ingredients onto a flat surface and chop the crap out of it with this twin blade device which looks like something you’d see out of a SAW movie. Then they place the chopped salad into a small little compact bowl, but don’t let it deceive you. It weighs as much as a newborn baby… ok not that heavy, but it’s a hefty meal. If you want something healthy and fresh and you’re craving a salad, give this place a try.

When I’m in diet mode and trying to eat healthier to shed a few pounds, I always seek out eateries where you can create your own salad thus giving you control as to what ingredients you want included. Not only does my diet prohibit carbohydrates and fats, it also restricts me from eating certain vegetables that you would think were good for you such as carrots, beets, asparagus and a few others which are pretty common in most salads that are pre-made. I’m also restricted from having any kind of fruit since all these items contain sugar. Enter Simply Salad where you can actually select the ingredients you want in your salad that is made to order. You pick your veggies and meats and the server will aggregate them all in a big metal bowl and then dump it on the cutting board where he will then start chopping it all into smaller pieces. It’s entertaining to watch how fast he chops all the ingredients with the special tool they use. You pick the dressing and they give it to you either on the side or tossed with the salad. They have a good variety of fresh items from which to choose. The only negative I would comment on is that I think they need disinfect either their cutting boards or their chopping utensils better or more regularly because after eating my salad here the last time, I kind of felt a little rumbling in my intestines. A little rumbling is probably not going to stop me from coming here since I’d just tell them to clean the board and chopper the next time I come here. Other than that, the salad was fresh tasting and I’ll be coming back here again soon since at the time of writing this review, I am being mindful of what I eat. They have tables inside and a few outside. Parking is downtown so it is what it is, ugh! Other than that, it’s a good place to dine a little healthier.
