The patio wasn’t open when I went… Which was the main reason I wanted to go. I ended up getting the morning zip which was pretty good. But I had to go somewhere else to hangout and eat something. This trip was pretty much a bust for me.

I stopped by Silverlake Juice Bar for coffee after lunch at Cowboys and Turbans one Thursday afternoon. It was a quick, functional trip, making this one of those terribly unnecessary Unilocal reviews that I’ll post when I think no one’s looking, just to satisfy my completeness OCD. The place shares ownership and space with Cowboys and Turbans, and I would definitely recommend a visit if you’re looking to get some juice or coffee on a nice outdoor patio. The interior is small without seating, just a counter and a cashier and some room for standing around. I was hitching my dog to a bike rack outside when one of the staff invited him in and proceeded to give him lots of love. Points for that. The cashier was also very friendly. As you can tell from the name, this is a juice bar, and most of its menu is given over to $ 8 juices.(I thought about getting one so I’d have something to talk about in this review, but it was too expensive, and I once again found myself questioning my Unilocal-centric lifestyle.) I got an iced coffee instead, and it was good. I’m sure the juices are fine, too, but I’m going on pure lazy instinct there. Anyway, Silverlake Juice Bar worked fine as a coffee shop, and I’d recommend it for that purpose and probably others, why not. The patio’s cool, they like dogs, and there’s juice, too, if you want it.

Seriously just meh. The Hurricane Ash smoothie that I ordered was pretty tasteless, and I was only able to drink about 3 ounces of it despite how hard I tried to guzzle it down. And at $ 8+ for the small sized smoothie, their prices are pretty exorbitant. Not even sure if the produce they use in their smoothies and juices are organic for those prices, not to mention whether or not the ingredients are fresh(vs. old/wilty/frozen) as they prep everything in the back. I’ll pass.

Sure, the first sip tasted like chalk with a kiss of agave, but by the time I was halfway through my kale/chia/almond milk/apple/walnut adventure, it grew on me and I didn’t hate myself nearly as much as I did immediately status post paying $ 12 for the aforementioned concoction. Not a liquid nutrition girl by nature as smoothies rarely keep me full for longer than 30min, I was pleasantly surprised when this bad boy didn’t wear off until a few hours later — so yes, the heftier smoothies will set you back $ 10 – 14(depending on the size), the lighter smoothies $ 9 – 13, and the juices $ 8 – 12 — but, if you’re doing something with a lot of chia/dried fruit/nuts, you have a fighting chance of not getting hangry before you’ve decamped from their gorgeous, lush back patio. I’m only assuming that if you’ve made the exec decision to fuel yourself with a «garden blend» of celery, apple, and dandelion, you acknowledge that this is rabbit food and and any resulting dissatisfaction for paying out the nose for what your SoCal-obligatory VitaMix would easily do at home is your own fault. Side eye for offering«natural flu shots» in the form of a «rejuvinator»(beet, apple, lemon, ginger) or «green giant»(kale, cucs, lemon, celery, spinach, pretension) — but, if you’re looking for a way to up your LA game, not bad, though I don’t have a ton to compare it to other than the last time I had Jamba, which was like circa 2001. Service was friendly and efficient at 11a on a Sunday — though I’m assuming that once any of the nearby barre studios lets out, shizz gets very real in here with lots of bony elbows clamoring to get their coconut water on.

This place is rad, I love the outside area, truly a haven in LA. They make their own almond milk and never rush you outside!

Not sure why this place doesn’t have the best reviews perhaps the high price but the quality of juices and the ingredients were great. I didn’t mind spending a bit more. Ask for the ‘rejuventor’. It won’t disappoint!

I came here 5÷30÷15 just as they opened. Mikey greeted me as soon as I walked in! He was awesome! I definitely will come back here! You know Mikey’s greet and friendliness was a refreshing experience from the everyday greet at other places! Awesome!!!

**Stay away*** I got a 16oz juice. It was so green but tasted like water. The juice was supposed to have spinach, kale, ginger, lemon and cucumber. The juice tastes just like water. No flavor. This was the worst juice I’ve ever had. I didn’t think it was possible to have a «bad» juice. What a rip off ! :/ The rest of the reviews support the fact that this place sucks. I think jamba juice would have made a better juice.

Wish I had read the reviews first… guess I am not the only one that got ripped off. This is a shady business owner that steals your deposit when you do a multi-day cleanse… BUYERBEWARE! I am reporting these guys to the BBB and i encourage others that have been ripped off to do the same!

Not good! Nothing ruins your day like a $ 12 smoothie made almost entirely of ice. The girl behind the counter was nice, but I will not be coming back.

Worst place ever!!! Paid $ 23.95 for two medium smoothies! I ordered The Mercer and I added strawberries. It was watered down and it sucked! Regret coming here. Never again.

Great tasting juices. You can choose any of the ingredients. They have dandelion which I would recommend. They have an extremely friendly staff. I will definitely be returning!

The Long, The Short, and The Bottom Line: This is overpriced garbage. There was grit in my juice, not good ratios, and the staff was a bit pretentious. With so many options out there this is not worth it. Nope. Go to Juice Bowl.

This is a review on the vegan gelato here. I was so excited to try vegan gelato here and the girl was super nice. i so want to love this place they have a beautiful garden and they are sooo nice and use organic products but this was my third trip… The ice cream was just flakes and the poor girl could not scoop it because it was so hard. For $ 6 I got a few spoonfuls of frost bitten flakes of frozen stuff that I would by no means call gelato, the texture was gritty and no cones eitherbut the flavor had potential hence the two stars. I left feeling like an idiot because for the same price I can get 4 heaping scoops of vegan ice cream at Scoops. I don’t usually leave bad reviews but I really wanted to provide this feedback because I’m rooting for this place…

I wanted some juice this morning and instead of coming here I decided to write my review… it so long-overdue from my past experiences. If they had a star that equals zero that’s what I would select! It’s like the hiring requirement here is to be an asshole! And I’m pretty sure I had hair in my quinoa burger… patty, whatever they call it. Go to NATUREWELL not too much further down on Sunset, you will thank me later it’s a lot better and it’s the same thing for cheaper with better customer service!

Coolers full of wheat grass, spirulina, maca powder – this is our modern buffet line. I don’t know why everyone gives this place such a hard time. I’ve never had a bad smoothie from here – which is more than I can say of Naturewell – and they’re on par price-wise with someplace like the Punchbowl. Listen, I feel a little weird about spending $ 10 on liquid nutrition, too, but A) no one is putting a gun to my head, and B) this is the world we live in. We all have an alternative – it’s called throwing a bunch of shit in a blender at home and doing it ourselves. That $ 10 is lazy ass tax, mmkay?

ZEROSTARS. At first I wrote a glowing review about this place but sadly due to some recent discoveries I have to take it back. The reason for paying 14 dollars a juice is due to the fact it’s organic and healthy for you. They advertise as organic and on the outside sign it says organic. Well somebody slipped because I saw WYMANSBLUEBERRIESINTHEIRFREEZER. WYMANSIS A NON– ORGANICBRAND. Round up and pesticides when juiced or blended(especially from blueberries which I believe are on the«dirty dozen» list for pesticides) are very toxic. DONOTADVERTISEASALLORGANICANDTHANLIETOTHEPEOPLESUPPORTINGYOURBUSINESS. HOWDAREYOU. I SHOULDSUE. BOYCOTT! I’M CALLINGANORGANICCOMMUNITYBOYCOTT!!! I would love to hear an explanation from management — although the proof is in the non-organic pudding!

I like this place but it’s pricey. My favorite drink is the First Date: almond milk, coconut, banana, dates, and walnuts. Service is pretty prompt and friendly.
