I completely agree with Fara A. I’m very disappointed I haven’t received anything from my consignment. I even sent an email asking nicely if the sold items web page will be updated and when will payments be received? I haven’t received any response or payment, and I did for a fact have items that where sold, and if anyone has been through this process you know since you only drop and pickup your items and each slip has a number. I’m currently unemployed and was planning to use the money for bills. It sucks! I feel like I’ve been scammed especially since I signed up for the last consignment they had. If the shop owner knew she was planning to close she should have never accepted any new consignments. I wasted my money buying the bobby pins and paper and the $ 12.00 registration fee. I’m sorry, but this lady needs to be checked out by the better business bureau. But, then again she doesn’t have a business any more. I’m not the type of person that complains, but this was wrong in every way. The money should be there since customer did purchase items and the shop was being run by a voluntary employee. I know there’s rent to pay for a location and other things, but the consignor’s shouldn’t have to suffer. I read what Robin M. wrote and she is totally right It’s not defamation if it’s the truth, and I’m obviously not the only person who hasn’t been payed. I’m curious to know how many others haven’t received any money.

I absolutely agree with Fara A. as well. Even though Devon has shut down this store I strongly encourage and caution folks that should she open another business to be aware that she’s likely a scam artist and not a legitimate or honest business owner/person. I’ve yet to receive payment for any of my items. My friend as well has not received payment for items that she submitted. It would appear that several others(based on other reviews I’ve read) are in the same boat as we are … having not received payments as well. It’s very disturbing that in a time of such economic challenge that a consignment owner would take such advantage of folks. I’m outraged and will be seeking legal advisement. I encourage others to do the same. It can send a clear message to other potential scam artists that they cannot get away with such dishonesty and theft(using the guise as being a consignment store!). BEWARE Devon has accused those who have disclosed the truth about her business that she will be suing for defamation. Do not let this scare away other reviewers. So long as one is speaking the truth it is not«defamation».

Well, Devon had me completely fooled. She was always so sweet when I came in. Now, I realize it was all a charade. I received a mass e-mail that due to unforeseen circumstances, the shop would be closing at the end of the month. I am still waiting for payment on an item that was supposedly sold in April. And, I know of another consignor who«lost» 120+ items — she went to pick them up and they were gone(not sold)…GONE missing! What a sham of a business! Stay away!

lots of items, but that’s because the standards for selling aren’t very high. no one goes through the inventory to ensure things aren’t damaged or broken, so buyer beware. i bought several items of clothing that had hidden stains, missing buttons, holes, etc. also, prices are high for consignment, especially considering these items are used and the condition isn’t that fantastic. with that said, if you are diligent and have a very keen eye, you might find a decent deal on select items.

At first I liked this place and my only complaint was that they close so early in the evenings and are closed on Sunday and Monday-too many limitations. Then I began to realize a couple of very important things. First of all, the majority of what they have is clothing. They have very little of anything else. More importantly is the price point. They are expensive. Whoever said they have good prices must not have a good comparison factor. I do. You don’t see many baby pj’s under $ 5-and they aren’t even that great quality-wise. A consignment boutique in Hollywood sells their very great quality pj’s for mostly $ 2.75 a piece and these are good brands. I’ve seen other items, such as toys priced higher than what you could get them for brand new(i.e. baby kitchen). Almost everything these guys have that the place in Hollywood has is twice the price or more. Like a collapsable, more portable stroller they priced at $ 40 and the other place prices at $ 24. Or the baby fortress they price at $ 50 and I got at the other place for $ 9.95. I guess they think because they are in Santa Monica all their customers are rich. I say, get a clue! The owner is nice but that doesn’t translate into a good value. For now I won’t be back. My advice for this store… Look at your competition and take notes. I can tell you the place with the best sales is the place with the best prices and that you are not!

I stumbled across this place a few weeks ago and I am so glad I did! I LOVE it. Good stuff, good prices, helpful staff. I look forward to shopping there more in the future.
