My order took a while to come out. There was only one person cooking. Most of the time the meat is precooked so you figure it wouldn’t take too long to put some meat in a tortilla. The Korean BBQ tacos were OK, but the Spicy Pork taco was far too sweet and not spicy at all. I had to drown him in hot sauce. I have no idea what the sauce was that they put on either of the tacos, but I would have asked to have it left off. It was like a watery thousand island. They also had shredded lettuce in them which was okay. But it was missing traditional kimchi. :o( The price wasn’t a big deal, $ 8 for 3 tacos and a soda. The food wasn’t anything spectacular. It wasn’t terrible and did suffice for lunch. But I’d much rather wait for the Calbi or Kogi truck to come my way.

The fact that I’d never officially had food from a food truck before probably biased me in favor of it, but as I danced up to Short Rib Fusion parked across the street from LACMA, I was still excited as a five-year old kid in front of the TV on a Saturday morning. There’s really no denying that this truck puts out good food, either way. We ordered the kimchi quesadilla, which was a delightful mix of the usual oozing cheese and a mild but flavorful kimchi nip to it. It wasn’t cheap, per se, but it was definitely worth the experience. I don’t know if I’d come back specifically to Short Rib Fusion if I had other options to try, but at least I’d be able to recommend it to a first-timer!

our order took forever to get taken, and then even longer to come out. they had one person working register and one person working the food. i’ve never had to wait longer for a food truck, and since they park outside businesses waiting for the lunch crowd, they NEED to be faster about it. people don’t have time to wait 50 minutes. the food itself was decent.

Get the Spicy Pork burrito($ 6)…absolutely spectacular! There are slices of sweet grilled pork, cabbage, cheese, white sticky rice in a warm tortilla. On it’s own it’s not that spicy, at least to my Asian tongue. So you have the option of adding jalapeño peppers. If you want to take it another notch, I squeezed sriracha chili on mine. The burrito is a little bit on the small side but just perfect for me… some of you may not agree so you’re better off ordering two. Other than that, this has got to be one of my top tastiest burritos I’ve had thus far.

Short Rib Fusion was parked across from LACMA on Wilshire this past Sunday for lunch, and hubby was hungry. Out of the trucks parked there, this was one of the two most promising. I suppose that we should have tried the other place. DH ordered a spicy pork burrito and a soda for $ 7. The burrito was of a reasonable size for lunch time, but a bit pricey for $ 6. It was about 6 inches long and 2 inches in diameter. It had a sweet ground pork mixture(not at all spicy), with shredded lettuce and rice in a flour tortilla. It was edible, but it was dull and it was definitely not spicy. I would skip Short Rib Fusion.

I love this food! I tried this food truck with my boyfriend at NoHo dine out and we were blown away. We tried chicken tacos, a short rib beef burrito, and short rib sliders. Everything was delicious and satisfying! The guy and lady were really nice and the food smelled so good :) sliders were my favorite!

@shortribtaco The notion of the Korean BBQ taco, first made popular by Kogi is a very crowded field here in L.A. There are many trucks serving these treats and the menus don’t really differ much. So they all need something to make them stand out. This truck does a good job with the tacos, sliders, quesadillas and burritos but the thing they do differently is offer these treats on a bao bun. Always a favorite of mine, this is what I decided to try here. They were good and likewise so were their tacos. No problem. The thing here is that this truck doesn’t really stand out from the rest of the trucks offering the same fare. One thing I’ve noticed that Kogi does is they are always trying new recipes and introducing new treats to their fare. It seems none of the other KBBQ trucks do that. So where does that leave us here? Well it would depend on what the other choices are. Since the food trucks are basically pack animals, it would depend on the other choices. But I will say that this truck doesn’t disappoint. It doesn’t blow my socks off, but I would eat here again.

I have been searching for this truck high and low since I had a spicy pork Kim chi quesadilla. Not a day has gone by that I haven’t thought about that quesadilla. It is the best thing I have ever eaten. Perfect Kim chi. Insanely amazing pork. I’ve had so many Kim chi quesadillas since trying to see if any of them could compare. They couldn’t. I have been disappointed so many times since that perfect quesadilla. It was heavenly. THEKIMCHIISAMAZING!!!

If you picked up this truck from it’s spot in Santa Monica. moved to Kansas or Indiana or some other flyover state, people would rave about the originality of Korean Burritos and Quesadillas. But here in LA, this nothing but a long line of Mexican/Asian fusion trucks, and while it serves solid food, it is nowhere near spectacular. I had a Short Rib Burrito for $ 6.50 and while I enjoued, it is nothing I would crave to have again. It was a large grilled tortilla filled with a generous amount of short rib meat. It was lightlu seasoned. All the flavor came from the sauce and other ingredients. Th burrito was filled with egg, radishes, both lettuce and cabbage, and a non-descript cheddar cheese. Service was quick and friendly and with a Diet Coke it was only $ 7.50 And I want to give them props too, because this is one truck that actually has the proper City of LA no-smoking signage. Ironically, it wasn’t in LA today though. I found it in Santa Monica. Gourmet Food Truck #184 on my never-ending quest to try every truck in «So Cal»

This is a poor man’s version of the Kogi truck. Rude service, below average food+ high prices = 2 star in my book. I ordered 2 kogi tacos which came out to about $ 5 bucks and boy were they tiny and lacking any flavor or seoul that Kogi truck brings.
