Wow! I can’t believe no one has written a review about this place! I’m not the type of person who needs to have something dry cleaned every week or month. This is probably my second time, within my lifetime, that I’ve had something dry cleaned or tailored! I just so happened to stumble upon this place via Google. No reviews. Nothing. I consider myself a little bit of a risk taker… so why not give this little known place a shot, right?! First, there was only street parking. This place is located on 3rd St, near LaBrea. Your best bet is to park on a side street. Parking is not a big deal to me because I’m just dropping off a few items. When I walked in, the door chimed, this old man comes walking from the back to the front of the counter. Remind you, this is like my first or second time going to dry cleaner or tailor. He was SOHELPFUL!!! I had two shirts and two dresses. Both dresses had tiers that needed fixing. He explained my options and we came to an agreement on alterations. I could just tell this man, was VERYPASSIONATE about his work. He told me to come back in a week and the clothes would be ready. I returned the following week and he was just as pleasant and nice, as the first time. He showed me what he had done. AMAZING! The dresses looked brand new! I don’t know how much dry cleaning normally cost, but I paid about $ 15. I paid in cash. I don’t know if they accept credit cards. In my opinion, for what he did, it was well worth it. I believe this business is family owned, he may even run it by himself, or with his wife. I cannot rave enough about this place. If you’re looking for great ‘personalized’ dry cleaning/alterations — this is the place!

I have recently had two sets of alterations done by Harry, the tailor at Shirley’s Classic Cleaners and Shirley’s husband. Old school, unassuming, very fair, tells you what you DON’T need to fix, and does a great job on mens suits. I recommend very highly.
