Before I went to Sheena, I had endured a string of really bad stylists who never listened to what I wanted and hacked my mop each time. Then I found Sheena through a guy I met at Starbucks. How random is that? It’s a trick to find a hair stylist who understands the Asian male’s hair predicament: It’s not easy to make it look cool. But she does somehow. I’m happy because I don’t end up looking like every other Johnny Kim out there. She looks at your face shape and determines what looks best for it. And she gets it right for me. For women’s hair, the clients I’ve seen were pretty happy when they walked out. So, she seems to be a good stylist for the ladies, too. She works at Michael Sean O’Neal’s salon in WeHo.
