Shavali Fabric

If you cosplay, this is THE PLACE to go for fabric. SO many choices, fantastic quality, great prices, and wonderful service! You will not regret it.

My Girlfriend and I happened to walk in and are glad we found this store! She just started her own little hobby and wanted to buy some fabric to practice on. Every other store we went to the employees gave us very limited answers, but when we walked in here the owner (Shervin) was very helpful and made it fun to find what we needed. The prices are really good compared to the other stores we stopped by. We are glad we came here before buying anywhere else.
Also check out the black light reacting fabrics. They are really cool. I recommend to stop by here if you are in the area.

This store is a must for all of your fabric needs! They have a wide variety to choose from, not to mention some of the coolest fabrics you’ve probably never seen before! Shervin is great, he’s so helpful and knowledgable, better yet he’s not pushy ! And if for some reason they don’t have what you’re looking for, Shervin will help point you in the right direction to find what you need. Great guy, great place. Definitely check it out!

Shervin is the man! He always has some crazy, cool new product that you’ve never seen before. Never pushy, always educational. This is the best place for psychedelic prints and textures on spandex. I love exploring all the wild prints he filters through that little shop.

Going to DT to buy fabric is always a bit intimidating! Am I buying from the right person? Am I getting the best deal? Is this the best quality? It can be pretty stressful! Lately I have been doing all my fabric shopping with Shervin at Shavali Fabric. He really takes care of his customers and has a great selection! He will even find you what you need if he doesn’t carry it or special order it for you. You can’t beat his prices and quality service. Shervin has an amazing selection of fabrics with out of this world designs. Some of his fabrics are UV light reactive and other of his offerings do some amazing light bending. Will return!

A friend recommended I go to see Shervin to by fur so I went to check out Shavali Fabrics. Shervin is amazing. Many times I feel pressured in downtown LA by the sellers or I have the need to make a better deal for myself, NOT HERE. Shervin made me and my friend feel like we were regular customers. His knowledge of the product was great, we traded jokes and he even offered us a no-​extra money warranty on our purchases.
I will only be stopping here for my future fabric needs.

I’m mega disorganized and I’m pretty sure the last time I wrote a review on Unilocal was over 5 years ago, but I feel strongly enough about Shavali Fabric to come back to Unilocal and give a 5 star review.
My first time shopping fabric in the fashion district was two weeks ago, and Shervin was the first salesman that I spoke with. He was enormously helpful and never once pressured me to buy anything (unlike ANY of the other salesmen I talked to), has a great sense of humor and makes sure that your overall shopping experience is a positive one. I ended up coming back multiple times within the week, and found the liner fabric I needed for what I was working on in his store (after scouring every other fabric store on the street). It’s so great that I trashed the other liner fabric I had purchased for a different project and reorganized my pattern so that I could use the fabric I bought from Shavali for both.
Even if it doesn’t look like they have what you need, I’d recommend stopping in and asking. There’s a lot more in this store than what you see on first glance! And you never know, you might find something 10x better than what you were looking for in the first place.

Every time (and I do mean every time) my friends and I go to the fashion district, we make it a point to stop by Shavali Fabric. They have some great printed stretch fabrics. They also have some cool stretch vinyls and faux furs (hey cosplayers…) And their prices are very reasonable.
Shervin is awesome. We always enjoy stopping in and having a chat with him. He is extremely helpful and makes sure we find what we need.

Shirvin takes care of all my fabric needs. If i dont find it in his store, he helps me find what I need in different stores near by!
