Even before meeting Shaun Alexander, we communicated by email, I understood very quickly he was a kind spirit and an accessible man, not at all overcome by his position in life, because of this I decided he would be the right photographer for my daughters first modeling shots.
The entire shoot was a fun and very enjoyable experience; Shaun is very easy to work with, creative, professional, gifted and focused. He and his team of stylists and make up artists were friendly and full of imagination in capturing all the stunning shots. The whole team made my daughter feel very comfortable, it felt like hanging out with friends.
Shaun is not only a very special photographer; skilled of course, an excellent creative director, patient and professional but also he is a wonderful person. Shaun distinguishes himself from many fashion photographers because at the core he sees women as human beings not as objects. I felt he really cared about my daughter, connected with her and left her the freedom to be herself. He was in charge without feeling the need to dominate or intimidate which I find rather exceptional!
As for the beauty of his shots, they are passionate, uniquely creative and have a clarity and confidence to them. Shaun is a master of capturing a model at the moment she is most herself and her most beautiful, and when that magic happens you can make sure he did not miss the shot!
As a result the portfolio exceeded my expectations in everyway. The photos, each looked like the cover of a magazine. I felt so lucky that my daughter had an extraordinary first work experience not only with a famous and talented photographer but that she now has a memory of a very creative, warm and generous one. Shaun really saw and captured my daughter’s beauty, and light exceptionally!
Shaun Alexander understands people, he understands light and space and manages to combine all of them so very well and I think of him as a modern Rembrandt.

I’ve been working as a male model for over 15 years in Los Angeles and I can honestly say, Shaun is one of the best fashion photographers I’ve had the pleasure to work with. He made the shoot fun and very much a collaboration, as opposed to just showing up and taking photos. You can tell he loves what he does and it shows in his photography. Besides being just all around great to work with he’s very good at what he does. The photos I got from our shoot are classic and timeless. As far as dance photography goes, Shaun Alexander is one of a kind; he is the best! When researching photographer’s portfolios online, his photography immediately stood out to us both. He is an extremely talented dance photographer, and on top of that, he is a really nice guy. Not only did he deliver an extremely high quality product, he was also very accommodating and hospitable. It was a fantastic experience working with this dance photographer and his team Tanya (stylist/​assistant), Tammy (makeup artist), and Rosalie (intern).
