Nice bar, good drinks, nice bartenders who know how to make good drinks. Only downfall– older. Much older crowd than the 20 and 30 somethings. I didn’t feel the vibe at all. Safe to say I won’t be returning. But if you’re older than 40 you might really like this place.

This place is essentially Rocco’s sophisticated step brother who lives next door! The bar is super swanky with a cool/low key vibe. Bartenders are amazing(and quite handsome if I might add :)) I think this would actually be a great spot for a «fancy feel but not pretentious» first date!

Welcome to the coolest bar in the Valley. Last night was my first visit to this amazing speakeasy, and I can’t wait to return. The staff does everything right here, from the welcoming ambience to the impeccable service and outstanding array of cocktails and food. My boyfriend and I were blown away by Devin, our outstandingly charming server. She recommended the«Strawberry Hinny», literally the best cocktail I have ever had. We were ensconced in a sexy booth, and Devin made us feel so welcome and instantly at home. She is one of the main reasons we had such a wonderful time. The bartenders are hip and professional, without the attitude. And, to top it all off, there is a fantastic dj playing great music at just the right volume(no screaming to be heard necessary). People were dancing, and literally everyone was having a great time. Think Motown meets the Great Gatsby, and you might have a sense of the mood and the vibe. This, my friends, right on Ventura Boulevard! Special thanks to Matthew, the manager extraordinaire. He came over to our booth and we bonded over our past lives in New York; Matthew has done a wonderful job creating this incredibly special place. SEVENTY7NORTH is not a bar, it is a total experience. Sexy, fun, friendly and special(without hipster attitude or pretense), I loved everything about it. As Arnold said, I’ll be back. Very soon. Love, love, love!

This is a nice lounge for a celebration such a birthday… it’s not the kinda place you go to possibly meet people. It’s not really big, if you enjoy mixology bars this the place for you. I didn’t have any problems with this location. The dj plays really good song and they have somebody playing drums she was really good. If you have a group of friends and wanna just party who you came with pick this place

For those who knew this speakeasy bar and loved it as much as I did — and then were as sad as I was, missing Seventy7 when it was shut due to a licensing mishap(or so I was informed), I’m pleased as hell to tell you… They’re Baaaack! It’s quieter than it used to be — for right now — but that’s just because the crowd has yet to re-find them. But it’s the same great place, the same great people, and as fun as it ever was — so get back in there and enjoy :) I believe it’s just Thursdays through Saturdays right now, but I’m sure they’ll expand the days soon. Definitely the most fun small bar in Studio City — delighted to have them back.

Just a head’s up — the last couple times I’ve tried to stop in here they have been closed… I asked Rocco’s(same owner, I believe) for an update, and was told it is temporarily closed down for construction/remodel. I thought the place was awesome and hope they don’t change too much, if anything at all… It has been a few weeks now, so if anyone hears/sees it open back up, please post an update. Thanks!

Recently did my bday here on a Friday night. Really great vibe with cool music you could dance to(although there is no «dance floor). Food was great and drinks were great. The same goes for the service from the beautiful staff. Can’t wait to become a regular here. The outside area was very nice too and should b fun to enjoy during the summer.

I’m over the nightclubs and loud bars. Lord knows I can’t dance and I don’t down drinks like a frat boy at a sorority mixer. My age and refined tastes have given me an appreciation of a good lounge. Segue to… Seventy7 North. This place opened in March 2014 or so, about a month ago. They’re owned by the same folks as Rocco’s next door and they share a kitchen, but the menu is different. Rocco’s is more of an Italian restaurant with a full menu and Seventy7 North is more of a lounge with appetizers and small bites. We had the bread crumb pizza, beet salad, and shrimp. Everything was good and perfect size for sharing. The drinks are premium liquor and if you’re a fan of bourbon, get in a cab right now and head on down. Just don’t drink and drive. Although, the drinks are $ 15 a pop so you may not have that many anyway. Don’t let the doorman scare you away, he’s very nice and friendly and there’s no cover. The décor inside is a classy velvety-leather padded seats whiskey lounge. The staff were friendly and helpful. There’s live music and one of the nights they have burlesque dancers. Dogs are allowed on the outside patio! Whoof Whoof.

First time here, walked over from Rocco’s, very friendly and knowledgable waitress. still kind of new, almost didn’t stop in but the bouncer stopped us and invited us in. Drinks are great, ‘friendly’ pour with just the right taste. Check it out if you’re in the neighborhood, I highly recommend it.

Wow, what a disappointment. Weak drinks. Overpriced. Douchey bartender. Before I elaborate, let me just say … our server, Chelsea, was extremely friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. This place is brand new. You could smell the sawdust and paint. Interesting layout. Super quiet. Weak drinks — My wife and I don’t go out to bars to get loaded, but when you order a nice, classic artisanal cocktail – we expect to feel at least a smidge of a buzz. Nada. We essentially paid $ 30 for a couple of tasty, yet virgin, cocktails.(Come on, you guys are doing the whole«prohibition» gimmick. Quit being so stingy.) Overpriced — $ 70 + tip + valet for 2(very weak) cocktails, 2 appetizers. This is Studio CIty, not Beverly Hills. If I’m going to pay about $ 85 for my pre-dinner drinks/appetizers – I’d happily stop by Mastro’s bar or the Polo Lounge and at least get my bang for the buck. Douchey bartender — This being our first time at Seventy7 North, we asked our server if they ever have a happy hour. She wasn’t sure, so she went to ask the tilted fedora-headed bartender. His response, which we could hear from a distance, «Yeah, we got a happy hour. You order a drink. Then you get happy.» Bada bing! Dude, learn how to make drinks for grown-ups and practice a little discretion. Again, disappointing. We were hoping for much more.
