I’ve been cutting my hair with Sergio for 18 years. I definitely recommend Sergio and any of the other barbers for a fresh cut and great customer service! You won’t be disappointed!

This place is by far my favorite barber shop thus far. They do a wonderful job of cutting hair and know how to do a fade. Pair that with their reasonable prices and really vibrant atmosphere, you couldn’t ask for a better way to spend an hour or so. The only criticism I have is that it is a family style business so sometimes their hours of operation can be a little wonky. Other than that though, the business is clean and the staff are polite and efficient. Check them out(but be sure to call first to see if they are open) :P

Been going to this barber shop for years. If you get a chance to stop by and check it out, ask for Eddie. Never disappointed with his haircuts. The fade is always on point and knows exactly what he’s doing

My experience at Sergio’s Barber Shop was overwhelmingly negative that it prompted me to create a Unilocal account. I think what a lot of the barber shops in HP are missing is adequate customer service. If you’re going to be in the customer service business, you should probably cater to your customer in a friendly and inviting manner. I don’t think this barber shop got the memo. After reading most of the positive reviews on Unilocal,I decided to give Sergio’s a shot. The first time I visited the shop, my presence was not even acknowledged– no hello, no greeting, nothing. I didn’t mind that though. I quickly realized that a haircut with any of the male barbers was next to impossible because of the hour+ wait. So I decided to get my cut with the woman whose station is closest to the front door. Let’s call her woman #1. She was a little rude when she asked if I wanted a haircut and made no conversation with me after my repeated efforts to engage in one with her. She also had this resting bitch face that made her extremely intimidating, ultimately making my experience with her somewhat unpleasant. I still liked my haircut so I decided to give it a second chance. I was happy on my second visit which is why I was generous enough to give Sergio’s a second star. This time, I got my cut from a lovely woman(next to woman #1) whose name I cannot remember. She was engaging, friendly, and actively listened to what I wanted. I was hoping she would be there the third time I went back. Unfortunately, woman #1 and a male barber(who sits closest to the couches near the back) were the only ones there this time. Aside from me, there was only one other customer who was already getting his cut. Sergio’s claims it closes at 8 pm. So why are there only two barbers left on a Tuesday afternoon at 5:30 pm? I take a seat hoping to get attended soon but woman #1 disappears in the back. I wait 20 – 25 minutes, understanding that patience is key at barber shops. It’s only after waiting for a long time that the male barber tells an incoming customer that the man he has on the chair is his last customer of the day. If you see me waiting on the couch for nearly half an hour, why didn’t you tell me this when I walked in? Instead, his excuse was that woman #1 had to go run a quick errand at her house and would return«soon.» He was too busy turning on his Mexican music and then ignoring me to let me know that there would be no one to attend me. C’mon, it’s the least you can do for a customer. The unprofessional, rude, and inconsiderate personality, attitude, and work ethic of these two barbers is why I will not go back. I can’t speak for the other barbers. I really tried to like this place, especially as I was pleased with my haircuts. But from my three experiences at Sergio’s barber shop, I was not convinced that it was the most welcoming place or worth my $ 20.

Just what I was looking for. I moved a couple of months from NorCal and I was looking for a place to get my cuts so finally after several places I tried, I find the one.

I just moved into the neighborhood and was looking for something to tame this mop on my head. I saw the barber pole and figured… why not? I walked in and immediately thought… this is my kinda place. The funny thing was… despite my not knowing much spanish, the conversations were pleasant. She did exactly what I wanted… and now I look pretty damn good. Almost kinda makes me want to join a gym now… kinda.

Sergio is excellent at what he does. He gave my 13 year old son exactly what we had requested — a relatively traditional, tastefully sculpted, medium length cut with a bit of side burn. The fact that the cut was only $ 12 is besides the point. We were very happy. My son had gotten a little spoiled going to the salon for the full treatment, a shampoo and cut, and was initially nervous when we walked into the barber shop. In each of the four chairs, there were four young men each having their hair cut to about 3 millimeters in length. We picked Sergio out, among the four hairdressers, and I told him what t I wanted my son’s hair to look like. This task was made easy by the fact that Sergio, unlike the other male hairdresser, actually had some length of hair on his head and it was exactly what I wanted for my son. As another reviewer posted, there are plenty of snacks for sale. My daughter picked out a bag of fruit snacks, and ate those as we waited, sitting on cozy seats, listening to hip hop music and reading magazines. The staff was very friendly and we went away feeling very happy that we had ventured to a barber shop close to home. I keep catching myself calling it a salon and my son has to remind me that it is a barber shop. It is. Go there if you are a dude. You’ll be happy.

Been coming here for a few years now. This is the spot if you want that detailed taper, fade, line up, etc. They are also one of the few barbers that are open till 8pm.
