Essentially the perfect«big portions, low cost» Chinese restaurant. Food is clean and great, not overly oily. Fried dishes are perfectly crisp and not soggy, and the dishes have a depth of flavor that rings authentic over Americanized. My go-to Chinese restaurant in the Ktown area. The fish dishes are recommended, and look for the more uncommon offerings on the menu– these are always the wisest choice.

A pretty good Cantonese restaurant in Ktown, surprised that it’s not more popular. Be prepared to eat family style here! They give free egg rolls and free rice(I love love love canto rice, basically ate the whole box of it). I ordered my favorite soup, fish maw and wasn’t disappointed, it was similar to the ones I usually have in 626. My bf ordered the string beans and kung pao chicken for us, both were sort of spicy which I’m not used to. We had a lot of leftovers as the portions are large here, and I had a great lunch with the leftovers the next day. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for some cheap authentic Chinese food!

Tasty Chinese food made fresh to order at a reasonable price! Honey walnut shrimp — Eggplant with garlic — saucy and tasty! Shrimp with spicy salt — tastyville! Chow fun was good too! This is my new regular go to Chinese spot!

Yo. Don’t order to much. We made the tragic mistake of ordering way to much damn food. Yeah, first world problems. We had enough food to last us a week. Anywho, food comes in large portions. Aka a large plate full of each item you order. Food ordered: Shrimp Kung pao, shrimp chowmein(noodles are thin not thick), broccoli chicken and chicken fried rice. Food was alright. Not the most amazing food but it does deliver quality. If that makes sense.

I had been craving Chinese food since Sunday night, but didn’t have a chance to get it. I was determined to pick up Chinese food after work on Monday for dinner that night(and leftovers). The place I wanted to try closest to me is closed on Mondays(Golden Hen) so I opted for this place since it was also very close. I thought about going back to the Palace in Los Feliz, but they are much pricier for their dishes(shrimp dish is about $ 15 I think compared to $ 9 here) I ended up ordering the shrimp fried rice, sweet & sour shrimp and egg drop soup for $ 28 total. I felt like I got a lot of food for $ 28, but it seemed pricey compared to Golden Hen. I do have enough for about 4 meals at least, which is great. The food itself was decent, nothing beyond amazing but tasty and definitely hit the spot and fulfilled my craving! Parking was easy and plentiful in the private lot. I called in my order and it was ready in 15 minutes. The restaurant itself is nothing special, but there were about 4 people picking up and 3 people eating in there. I will go back there and try some of the other recommended dishes(the shrimp noodle soup looks good and so do their string beans). If you’re looking for quick and inexpensive Chinese food, this is a good option. on top of it all, they threw in 3 free veggie eggrolls! YES
