I walked in for my third appointment in two weeks and the doctor still did not remember who I was or what was going on with my eyes. I was trying to give him a chance, but he blew it when he said so «who prescribed you that eye ointment?» «Um you did three days ago…» I finally found a great eye doctor in west hollywood who properly diagnosed me.

*** BEWARE THE BILLING DEPARTMENT OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT***
While I spent hundreds of dollars and my insurance company paid their portion (make no mistake I PAY FOR MY INSURANCE — IT’S NOT FREE MONEY) for tests, etc., American Eye and their billing department have decided to put a notation on my credit over a $ 70.00 bill that fell through the cracks during a time when I had thousands in medial bills.
I offered to pay the outstanding balance but Dr. Schwartz refused to instruct the collection agency (in St. Louis of all places) to then remove the negative remark.
YOU CAN GET GOOD EYE CARE ANYWHERE — but the bottom line is, I never agreed to have my credit report touched by a greedy medical establishment.
AVOID THIS DOCTOR.

I’ve been going to Dr Schwartz since 2007. He and his staff treated me as if I were their number 1 priority (even when I didn’t have insurance). They’re all extremely polite, explain every detail in human terms
