The staff, alas, seem overburdened and put-upon. I dealt with two different people, each of whom was downright surly and unhelpful. Maybe they were having a bad day, but jeez. I will stick to the friendly folks at my local, family-owned pharmacy.

i was just looking to see their hours on Saturday when I noticed all the very low ratings and feel compelled to write(briefly). I have been coming to this pharmacy since moving to Los Feliz in 2001. I would never go anywhere else. I have never ONCE had any issues with«slow service» or «friendliness» — i never thought about whether they were«friendly» — what i HAVE noticed is that they are extremely good at their jobs, and extremely helpful. Numerous times pharmacists there have gone the extra mile for me Perhaps they like me more than others. Sometimes I wonder how well reviewers themselves would score if THEY were being reviewed re their«friendliness» or «professionalism» or «knowing what they are doing» — my hunch is: often very low. There is nothing at all wrong with this pharmacy in my vast experience with them and many others prior. It’s also housed in one of the most laid-back, pleasant, and FRIENDLY, supermarkets anywhere — and I mean ANYWHERE.

I have had excellent service here. My Dr’s were not getting back to the pharmacy to refill a prescription I’ve been on for a while and it isn’t one you can cold turkey go off of. I was having withdrawal’s and he gave me 2 to hold me till my Dr got back to them. Then deducted it from my next fill. I was so grateful for someone who cared enough to not leave me spazzing while the Dr’s made life awful for me. Thank you for your amazing help!

Horrible customer service. I waited for over 30 minutes before anyone even got to me(only 2 people waiting total), and the whole time the two person staff just sat on the phone then wandered around arguing with eachother about where something was. Unreal. Update: after being told to come back in 20 – 30 mins to pick the prescription up, I returned to find they had just started working on it. Now a full hour has passed since I dropped it off and still I’m standing here waiting. Avoid this place like the plague.

Completely disagree with the previous review. I’ve lived in this neighborhood forever and definitely not a small town feel at this pharmacy. Will write a longer review later but they are not friendly and definitely not cheaper. The CVS in Santa Monica I normally go to is less expensive. Please higher nicer pharmacists.

After dealing with Walgreen’s and CVS in a variety of locations around L.A. I have come to expect pitiful service. Sav-on is such a refreshing change. They pick up the phone without putting you on hold. They will fill your prescription in 10 – 20 minutes whereas other pharmacies tell you to come back in 4 hours. They are friendly and knowledgeable. They literally treat their customers like you would imagine a small town pharmacy would in the 50’s or something. They seem to know them all and treat them like friends. And here’s what really blows my mind: I asked them to call my old pharmacy and«break up with them» for me. They did! Sav-on called CVS and transferred all of my refills to their system so I didn’t have to mess with it. These people are awesome, and another reason why living in Los Feliz kicks @ss.
