I have been unfortunate enough to always have bad Thai food. But this place has broke my bad Thai food streak. I had a curry dish, pad thai with shrimp, and Thai noodles. They were all solid choices. Would I come back though? Probably not, just cause I dont love thai food. Do I recommend it for thai cuisine? Absolutely! I think it’s worth trying at least once. Prices were great as well.

Bomb ass food, horrible delivery service. We waited over an hour and half for food that never showed up(we live literally less than a mile away.) We finally called to cancel and all they could say was sorry. We called like 3 times to check on our order and they kept saying he is leaving for our place now. Well another 20 minutes go by and the driver never showed up. Than another call, same thing, and another 15 mins no driver. I guess what can you do, but still, after waiting for an hour and a half and becoming so hungry, we just decided to leave our apt and eat at In n Out. Totally sucks cuz their food is so good and In n Out gives ya diarrhea. Tip for the restaurant, maybe give us a quote on the time as we place the order or don’t offer delivery during certain times if you can’t handle it. You just wasted food that could have fed a hungry mouth, as well as wasted my night waiting around for you to show up and ya never did. What are you my dad? :(:(

Placed a delivery order that never came. We tried to call and couldn’t get anyone on the phone. Very frustrating experience. From looking at other reviews, it’s a common occurrence with this place. It’s one thing to miss a delivery order coming in, but to not answer your phone on a Saturday night(it kept going to voice mail when we called) is really a sign of a poorly run business. Fail.

Oh my God, this was easily the worst Thai food I have ever eaten, and I honestly eat Thai at least once a week. I ordered online for a pickup order. The Tom Yum soup was ridiculously sweet. It tasted like they took sweet & sour sauce and ketchup and mixed it with water to make the soup. We literally diluted it with double the water of the original container and it was STILL too sweet. It was like eating dessert. Then our Larb salad tasted like egg roll sauce was used to make it. Finally, I had ordered the papaya salad with peanuts on the side, and they didn’t separate the peanuts. I have a peanut allergy and couldn’t eat it! Also, the dressing came in a separate container and tasted like they used vinaigrette salad dressing. It was definitely NOT lime juice and fish sauce which is supposed to be what is used in Thai papaya salad. Finally, I had put a note on my order for them to call me when ready for pickup. After one hour and still no call, I tried calling the restaurant and on 3 attempts, got a recording saying«the person cannot accept a call now». I ended up having to just go there and the clerk tried to tell me they had just gotten my order minutes ago, which I had to keep insisting wasn’t my order and wasn’t my name. He couldn’t understand I ordered over an hour ago and that wasn’t my order he had in his hand! Finally he got my food which was stacked in the back getting cold. I can’t believe what a miserable experience I had with this meal.

Ordered delivery from (won’t be doing THAT again… but that’s another review) at 7PM on a Saturday night. Quoted delivery time was 30 – 45 minutes(this place is literally a few blocks from my house). After an hour and 15 minutes, attempted to call the restaurant to check on the order. Got voicemail. Voicemail. At a restaurant. Checked number on their website… yep, number is correct. Called again. Voicemail. Freaking voicemail. At a business. Like a personal voicemail… not even one identifying that this is a business. After 90 minutes, tried to call again. This time we got a FAX tone. A FAX tone. Who even has a Fax anymore? This joint. Cancelled our order via , who also couldn’t find a way to contact the restaurant. Here’s the punchline. A delivery guy showed up around 9:10PM… More than 2 hours after the order was placed and about 40 minutes after it was cancelled. We sent him away as the order was cancelled and our money already refunded. The driver didn’t apologize or offer any explanation — seemed confused that we wouldn’t take the food. So, I don’t know what their food is like, but their customer service and business management skills are terrible. Wouldn’t order from them again on a dare. Don’t recommend anyone that wants food in a timely manner order from them either.

Went here this past weekend and was not very impressed. Maybe we went closer to kitchen closing? But then I guess they should have told us that instead of accepting customers. We tried to order something simple and they messed up on that too. Ordered a spicy shrimp rice and a chicken red curry. They made both chicken and did not even realize it. Both dishes were okay. Serving spoon was missing for the curry. Nobody checked on us to see how the food was or if we wanted anything. Had to call out twice to get water refills. We were the only ones in the restaurant. There was a gentleman there for a while but he soon left. And then the check is presented with shrimp fried rice written and charged on it. When we mentioned the error, the total was simply changed and presented back to us, no apologies, nothing. Not sure I care to go back to a place like this. Am surprised with all the good reviews here. Certainly did not have a pleasant experience.

Blandest pad Thai I have ever had in my life and I asked for EXTRASPICY. I couldn’t in good conscience recommend this place to anyone.

Generally good soups and curries, but I tried their salmon teriyaki entrée and it was inedible. The fish was so old that it resembled and tasted like a bar of soap.

The pad si u is a dark almost blackish color. Generously seasoned with pepper and garlic. And perhaps the best I’ve ever had. Panang Curry is flavorful and not too oily. I really only get those two things so I can’t speak for the rest. But it is so good. Better than many places in Thai town. The interior is a it lacking. Definitely a take out/delivery spot. But it is damn good.

I never liked Thai food before I tried it here! My husband, our roommate and I order here once a week. My favorites are Panang curry and Pineapple Shrimp Curry. It’s flavorful and delicious! I went to the other Thai places in Thai town and food was ok but never as good as here. I usually take to go since I live close by so I can’t say anything about the service. Oh, cashier is friendly! Menu price is average. I recommend this place to everyone who likes Thai food! Even if you don’t like it, give Sanzab a try

I ordered take out here because it’s close to the vet. Good find! The food was good and service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be coming back here whenever I’m craving Thai food in the area.

So I’m home sick tonight and decided to order delivery, because who wants to move when you don’t feel well. My husband chose to order food from Sanzab Thai via Eat24. Our order is confirmed at 7:16pm as I received the confirmation email. At 8:30pm, we decide to call the restaurant to confirm that our order is on the way, since sometimes things happen. My husband spoke to a man who said«Oh yes, your order is on it’s way». Sounds good, should be here at 9pm no later, right? 9:30pm, there is still NOFOOD! Call the restaurant, spoke to the same man, he made me repeat the name on the order at least 5 times. I told him to please get a pen and paper because I don’t want to say the name one more time to him. Sure enough, he comes back with«WENEVERGOTYOURORDER». I’m fuming and when I ask why did you lie to my husband about the ordering being on it’s way at 8:30pm, his response was basically NOTHING! He had NO reason for flat out LYING to us about it being on it’s way. I’m sure they just say that to any person who is upset about the delivery time«It’s on it’s way, It’s on it’s way». I asked him multiple times, why would you lie to a customer, WHYLIE? Shame on them! So of course I’m very upset and I have every right to be, but maybe the restaurant will redeem itself… Do they? Nope. No free food, nothing taken off the bill, just«Well if you still want it, we can hurry, you will get it by 10pm». 10pm!!! That’s 3 hours after I ordered the meal??? GROSSGROSSGROSS

Amazing little family owned thai place on sunset. Red Curry with chicken is one of the best I’ve ever had. Spiced just right. Also tried the yellow chicken curry which is like a flavor explosion in your mouth. For the calibre of food you would think you’re dining in a really expensive restaurant. Owners go out of their way to accommodate and make you feel at home. Don’t hesitate to try this wonderful place!

I’m bummed to write this. We usually love Sanzab. In fact, I usually tell everyone to ditch the more expensive Toi Thai down the street and go with the little family owned place that churns out better thai dishes. But, the last two times have not been great. I finally had to weigh in(I gave it five stars about a year ago). At our last lunch, I brought a friend, raving about their spring rolls, but they were only okay. The kung pao chicken was fine but didn’t have enough sauce to keep up with the rice. However, tonight was the real bummer. We went in and picked up two chicken chow mein(which we obviously paid for the chicken) and after we had gotten home and served it to our guests(to whom I raved about the meal they were about to have) we dug in. It wasn’t until everyone had served themselves and started eating that we realized no one had gotten any chicken. I checked the box as well. Turns out we all got vegetarian chow mein. We called, having already eaten for the most part, and simply told them to see if next time maybe we could get some money off since they served us the wrong food. We were told they could give us a side of chicken. Like a box of chicken, I guess. One, our food would be cold by the time we got it. Two, it’s a box of chicken. Gross. There’s no way it would have worked together. Anyway, super disappointed, and even though I’m loyal I’m not THAT loyal. That was enough for me. Sorry to say it since we order and dine in quite a bit, and it’s close. What a bummer.

I have them a horrible review based on my last experience, but they totally redeemed themselves with my last visit! They have $ 5.50 Pad Thai Wednesday’s, and not only did they give me more than enough for a full lunch leftover meal, but they didn’t charge me extra for adding vegetables(though they annoyingly tried to charge me for sauce on the side –_-), and it was delishhhh! Pad Thai can be hit or miss, and theirs was definitely a hit.

The worst! I have ordered from this place many times. My order yesterday was inedible. It ended up in the trash, uneaten. I got Pad See Ew with beef. Was it beef? It didn’t taste like it, it didn’t look like it. It was SOSALTY and GUMMY. The Tom Ka Gai, I asked for medium, it was very mild, almost watery. You have to pay an extra 55c for chicken. Okay, but as an extra I expected more than four slices. Plenty of mushrooms — they were great but it was like a bucket of orange coloured water with mushrooms. With so many choices of Thai restaurants around, skip this one. YUCK!

Pretty decent thai food, tried the yellow and pumpkin curry, they were very good and big portion! Curry little on the watery side but full of flavor. Will order again… I’ve seen lot of delivery time issue comments but it looks they might have fixed that or I got lucky. My one experience so far they came fast under 30 mins on a Saturday night.

Very tasty but slow as hell delivery. I mean it: be prepared to add 30 minutes to any delivery estimate. The pumpkin dishes are delicious and unique and the staples are nice and well proportioned, so it’s even more of a shame that the wait is so slow and the delivery people never seem apologetic for that. Recommend pickup or dine in if you can.

I would not recommend this spot! It made me vomit. I ordered the spicy fried rice with shrimp and chicken… The chicken had a weird taste, it was only really eatable once I put soy sauce on it. My girlfriend ordered the chicken pat sew and was not pleased either. The egg noodles were over cooked and the sauce was way too sweet and salty.

Good food, good prices, takes F-O-R-E-V-E-R. They might be able to get higher Unilocal reviews if they had more people in the kitchen. I’ve complained twice about it taking a long time to get my order(fool me once…), and wasn’t offered any form of comp, which is lame. Parking is not good, it shares a lot with like 7 other businesses including other restaurants. Again: the food’s good. The ambiance and parking and wait times are not.
