We thought to try a different ramen house in Little Tokyo. The ramen was good, simple, not great. The service was truly too slow. Yes, it is a family run business. They simply don’t have enough staff during the busy dinner rush. I cannot recommend this establishment. The food did not shine above and beyond the slow service.

Three words. Stewed Pork Ramen. I’ve had Daiko, I’ve been to plenty of ramen spots. This ramen is some of the best I’ve had. Don’t go to a Ramen spot for sushi. You would go to a car mechanic to get a massage, right? Go here for Ramen.

I just finished eating at this cute family owned restaurant. We ordered shrimp tempura, California roll, tuna roll, salmon tempura roll, shrimp fried rice and chicken teriyaki bowl. The bowl came with a side salad and miso soup(which was delicious). Everything came out great. The shrimp fried rice took a long time but I believe it’s because they made it from scratch. My mom was raving about how good it was. It’s was crowded when we came so it took a while for our server to come around since he was the only one. Normally that would be an issue for me but it’s a family owned place so I understand. They had their son help serve drinks while the grandpa cleared up the table after customers left. I would definitely recommend this place! And I will be going back next time I want some sushi!

This place was referred to as hit or miss by a fellow Unilocaler and theirs was a miss. Well our experience was a most definet hit. It’s a nice little spot for what seemed for locals only. The fried tofu was good. The squid calamari was nice. Pork fried rice was tasty and the spicy chicken bowl was great. The shrimp fries noodle was also good with the chicken teriyaki dish being fantastic. It’s up to you as always but I aim for the locals only type of places to actually experience the area.

Terrible… The food here has no quality. sashimi was way too dry. ramen tasted more like raw flour didn’t look that appetizing. . The Tempura here had a bad taste. wasn’t crunchy and had a very strong egg taste. sushi was leaning more towards the mayonnaise taste. Only thing good here was complimentary cookie before leaving and the beer. The people here on the other hand are very friendly tho. But if you’re looking for quality I’d suggest going somewhere else. … — after leaving this place I had a very awful after taste.

Sushi in Little Tokyo is a hit or miss, and in this case a miss. It’s unfortunate because the restaurant is really small and has this home and comfort feeling, especially with the friendly service. The food however, is a little different. Everything is made to order so it does take a little while for the food to get out. The sushi doesn’t look vibrant and fresh, they look a little dull, and dry, the sauce is what probably makes it decent. I tried the spicy ramen and it was pretty good, I preferred it over the sushi. The ramen had chicken and veggies and it was spicy. The broth had good flavor and didn’t feel overwhelmingly oily. Their chicken teriyaki bowl was also a better choice than their sushi. White rice topped with veggies(steamed) with their grilled chicken and teriyaki sauce. Everything is decently priced, but I did wish their sushi tasted a little better and were served a little bigger. I’ll come in again for the bowl, sometime.
