Unfortunately I don’t like my experience. 300 $ for balayage /​highlights roots and color tone that you don’t like it’s too much, I think. And there is street parking only.

I kind of don’t want to write a review because if I tell you all how amazing Des it will be that much harder for me to get an appt with her, and they have too much praise. But I really love my new hair. I want longer hair, so I had bought a 30 inch hair extensions from
online. It’s definitely a new me, I’ve never been this hairstyle but everyone keeps complimenting on the new hair!

Desseri has been super great, She’s helping me recover from a do it yourself bleach kit. My hair has gotten thicker and healthier thanks to Des. She’s has the best hair advice. One of the best colorist in LA by far.

Whether you are male or female, have long or short hair, or willing to do something drastic, you are in the BEST hands when Judy Song does your hair. My first haircut with Judy was about 18 months ago, when I decided to cut off my long locks for a bob right before graduating college. I was definitely a little nervous before making such a huge change to my hairstyle, but as cheesy as this sounds, Judy made me feel like a new person that was ready to enter the adult world. And might I add, I heard endless compliments for my new look. Soon after my amazing haircut, I moved to NYC. And given the countless number of reputable salons in NYC, I can’t get myself to find someone new to cut my hair! The fact that I make it a point to see Judy whenever I’m visiting LA speaks volumes to Judy’s skill and talent. And last but not least, Judy makes the entire experience all the better with her beautiful personality. We’re literally talking during the entire duration of the haircut (even when she’s blow-​drying!)
Additionally, Salon Pure is a lovely place in the heart of downtown LA. The staff is very friendly and I love the products they use!
FYI, Judy also spends some of her time working at Kut Haus in Claremont, which I also recommend if you’re in the Inland Valley.

I’ve been going to Judy for over a year now and she totally understands what I’m going for with both the cut and color. She has mastered the copper red I want! I always feel amazing after a fresh color, and get a ton of compliments on it!
When I moved to LA from NYC I tried a couple places before I found Salon Pure & Judy. So glad I finally did! I recommend her without hesitation. And everyone at the salon is nice with a cool vibe.

When I finally found Erica she did some of the most phenomenal color. really subtle correct in every way. it has been years and years since I have had a hairdresser that understood color to this degree. She sent me to Scott to do the cut. after the extensions came off. my hair was basically a mess of 7 months of growout broken off in crazy places. and he made the COOLEST haircut out of it. he is every bit the master of the scissors as they say on Unilocal.To top is all off. everyone here is sweet, talented and it is NOT one bit pretentious. Just skilled, experienced hair…

But I’ve been meaning to write one because overall I really enjoy coming here. I give this salon a 5. The location is nice, there’s a lot of festive things around the area as well. The people at salon pure are all very welcoming and the music is fun! I adore Des, you get what you pay for. She’s very honest about what she would recommend and she is VERY VERY good at like everything! The salon itself has a very cool semi hipster vibe. I like it a lot. Good energy all around.

Judy is the best! She is so accommodating of my needs and is great about fitting in clients if they need a last minute cut or color. I’m getting ready to go out of town and she was able to fit me in between a few clients, and even though she was really busy, she took the time for me and made sure my hair looks amazing before I head out for vacation. Highly recommend Judy to anyone looking for a fab cut or color. She also does a great job on my fiancé’s hair as well, so don’t be shy, guys!

My whole life, I strayed away from the routine trims and any coloring– until recently. When looking for a salon, I asked many friends in the area and they all directed me to here. I COULD NOT be happier.
I originally got my hair cut from Scotty, who is amazing. My boyfriend has been going to him for years and every cut is to perfection.
When I wanted to experiment with dye, I went to Judy. And once again, could not be happier. I’m (very) indecisive by nature and she showed me the way! She truly cares about her clients.
Hands down, the best salon in downtown Los Angeles.

Sophia is awesome and really detailed. They really care about making you happy and making your hair look good. Nice facilities, wonderful people, fun environment. Like I said, Sophia truly cares about her patients’ happiness and doing a great job. You won’t be disappointed.

Great salon! Brought a friend here and he had a great cut as well! Robbie is the best! I see him weekly!

Went in a day before a big interview.
A friend recommended me and I’m so glad I went.
I’ve gone to a couple of salons around downtown, including Floyds and they just couldn’t understand my hair texture or style I wanted.
Until I met Cara. She did me right! I usually wait for the grow out to judge but I can already tell it’s going o grow out nicely.
It’s worth it. Price is a little more than what the average guy pays bi-​weekly at a barber But it kinda works out because you can allow your hair to grow out a little more when you get a styled cut.

I am so excited to receive the best news today. My hair stylist Desseri is now located at this wonderful new spot. They are truly blessed to have such an innovative, stylish, charismatic hair styling expert! She has the best flowy haircut and balayage. Before we started, what we like to call «trim therapy» I could not grow out my hair, but ever since then my hair has grown substantially and I am forever grateful for her expertise, I could not have done it without her! Congrats, can’t wait till my next visit! XO

To ring in the new decade of turning 30, I tried a salon near Bunker Hill in downtown LA for a new look. I had hair past my mid back with hopes for something professional and mid-​length. Going to that other salon was the worst mistake I have made with my hair, I emerged in tears with what can only be described as a backward mullet and short fringe bangs, I called Salon Pure after the disaster in hopes that a stylist might be able to salvage what was left of my hair.
I arrived and Scott sprung into action to assess the damage. All I can say is he worked a miracle! He softened the fringe and did an AMAZING job at somehow making all of those awful layers, that the other salon had created, make sense.

I was totally pleased by the hair cut!
I always request for my hair to be as light as possible and today was the day it happen finally. I will definitely be returning because its hard to find stylists that know how to give a great hair cut!
I’ve got so much hair and layers always help to make it light, but in the past they would make my hair shorter in length rather than doing layers, thanks for listening to my concerns…

Got my highlights done with Chelsea yesterday and I’ve gotten so many compliments! It was a lengthy process but she absolutely knows what she’s doing! I felt like my hair was her masterpiece. Super professional and extremely nice.
However, I must say every stylist I’ve had at Salon Pure has always been a STAR! I am the worst at being timely about my hair upkeep because I’m so impatient and sitting in a chair for 3 hours is painful. I schedule sporadic appointments and I’ve never been disappointed. So all in 5 stars for Chelsea and 5 stars for Salon Pure LA :-)

I made an appointment based on the reviews here and am very pleased with the results! I went in for a full color (I had severely faded ends) and Chelsea worked quickly and efficiently. I didn’t elaborate too much on the color I wanted but she made a great choice and it turned out to be exactly what I wanted.
Total was still in the double digits with the first timer discount.
I’ll be back!

I love Salon Pure and I always go see Erika she is the BEST !!! This girl can do hair in her sleep lol she’s that good !!! I LOVE my extensions & my color is awesome along with hair cut I love long layers & getting my hair blow dried & did I mention she’s AWESOME !!!
