Dependable neighborhood Thai. Love the barbecue chicken, Chinese broccoli with crispy pork. Curries can be a bit on the soupy side, but tasty.

By far the sorriest Thai food restaurant that I have ever had! To begin with, their portions are small. Each portion is intended for«one person» as said by the restaurant when my Girlfriend called in to complain. They give you containers for take out that barely even fill half of the container. The meat is very dry, the dumplings aren’t fully cooked and flavorless. Their garlic chicken is mostly a compilation of vegetable and some strips of chicken here and there, might as well call it their«Garlic Vegetable dish». The Coconut combination soup tastes like a cheap canned soup. It was just awful smelling, milky and made me feel sick. Flavors were off on all of their food. To be quite frank the food absolutely sucks here. By all means STAYAWAY from this place. This place is lucky that Unilocal will not let you post a review with out putting at least one star. Otherwise this comment would have been left with no stars what so ever. AWFUL…

Today 5÷8÷16. Mother’s Day my bf didn’t want me to cook at all he wanted me to enjoy my day. So he asked me to pick a spot and we will order in and enjoy it at home, so I did. Such a bad choice, where do I even begin? Small portions, the meats were very dry and absolutely no flavor. I was so disappointed in this place. Lessoned learned never ever order from here again. I should of just cooked at home and saved our money.

I see the reviews of this place are pretty mixed and I think I understand why. Personally I find that many of their dishes are fantastic and some are meh. I love the pad thai, bbq pork ribs, coconut seafood soup, and crispy pork with chinese broccoli. Their fried stuff comes to mind as something ‘meh’, and I say that as a lover of all things fried. I’d say it’s worth a try. They do free delivery within a 3-mile radius, and unless it’s Fri-Sun they are generally quick. When I call in for pick-up, my order is ready for me within ten minutes most of the time. I wish they’d offer boba with their drinks.

I have enjoyed thai cuisine for many years and this place is good. They serve all the dishes my family and I enjoy. Thai tea is tasty. Alacart is approx $ 8. Spicy seafood soup in a hot pot is good. They have a tv. Restroom! That’s super important. .and an aquarium for kicks. Parking lot always has room for one more car. Extra plus++

Coconut soup and pad see-ew is damn good here. I’ve been eating here for about 9 months now and they always have large portions, delicious food, and decent prices. I admit I normally stick to these two items though, I need to branch out to other dishes but my craves are strong

Place is a bit of a dive but the food was absolutely delish and the service was fast. I had the Beef Drunken Noodle and my daughter had the Pad Thai and a Thai tea. We loved it.

It’s been a few years so I thought it would be a good time to update my review. I still get delivery from this place once in a while and have dined in as well. I stick to the same dishes as listed before and they are still delicious. I have noticed their updated menu states that they charge for delivery if outside a certain radius of their place. I don’t recall what the charge was. I don’t blame them. Delivery is tough for a small shop, especially dinner time/rush hour. Also prices have gone up… just like a lot of other places. Dine-in tip: I ordered the usual Spicy Noodle w/Ground Meat Tomato & Chili — oh my gosh, dang it was crazy spicy(for me, not my company who can do King Taco red sauce spicy and enjoy it). Next time I’ll need to say«medium spicy» or something. My tongue was on fire and I couldn’t enjoy it even while eating it with fried rice to mix it up. BUT it was a spicy where it had flavor, not just heat. When I order for delivery, they never ask about spicy level and I can usually enjoy it. Service is terrific, staff is very nice. I still highly recommend this place.

I like their curries. I’ve had red, yellow and green, red is my favorite!!! great Thai tea. the other stuff on the menu I’ve ordered is not so good, I don’t reccomend it. I’ve had garlic chicken, pad Thai, etc. none were good to me. their customer service could also be much better. but, the curry always calls me back!!!

They always come quickly… I’ve never been there. It’s our regular Thai delivery restaurant… It’s consistently good. I love their Chicken Larb, their Tom ka-Kai coconut soup… Great noodles… I think I’ve had all of them. Their curries are good. It’s all good. The boyfriend likes the very American Orange Chicken… It’s how one expects it to be and that makes him happy. Glass noodles and Larb make me happier.

Crumby looking place, but fast and friendly table service. The chicken fried rice I ordered was the plainest I’ve ever eaten. I’ve had the dish hundreds of times at dozens of restaurants. Roong-Fah’s was the most basic, just the rice, egg, chicken and white onion. No vegetables, no carrots nor peas, nothing more. I also ordered stuffed chicken wings which were not the best I ever had. Definitely not a place to take someone you want to impress. Next door to Tony’s Submarine sandwiches. It was closed, otherwise I would have tried Tony’s instead. I live in the area and want to check out all the restaurants, see which ones I want to come back to. Roong-Fah and Tony’s are just west of King Torta, which I think is a better value than Roong-Fah. I see a lot of people appreciate their delivery service, and I’m sure that’s a great asset for them, a lot of students live in the area, maybe students who don’t drive, so they are more of a captive audience. Definitely not worth going out of your way for.

Came in for lunch on a recommendation from a colleague. Simple menu, no hassle weekday lunch specials at around $ 7. I ordered the pork chow mein special. The special included a cabbage tofu soup which was quite delicious. The dish was bought out fairly quickly and included the pork chow mein, salad, steamed rice, egg roll and two fried won tongs as well as dipping sauces. Overall a good dish and value.

Pro: I always get my pad thai from them delivered when I need my pad thai fix. They are pretty close to my place and they have comparative better tasting pad thai than the other places around me. When I ask them to make the pad thai or any of the other orders spicy or with special instructions they do a good job in making the accommodations. Cons: They take an over an hour delivering. The average time has been 1.5 hours even tho they are like 2 blocks away from me. Also if I do not add the tip online when I pay, the delivery guy asks for it directly. The last time I ordered the food came 2 hours after I made the order and I got the food and said thank you but the delivery guy stood there and asked where his tip was. I told him the food was super late but he was adamant about a tip. I gave him $ 2 but he still made a face regarding it. That is the only down side that I have seen with Roong-Fah and it makes me rethink my order every time I order. They should consider bettering their service.

I have only ordered delivery from this restaurant but it’s always been a great experience. I haven’t ordered a bad dish yet! I normally order from Eat 24 via the Unilocal app and my usual is pad thai, pad se eww, and whatever meat dish we feel like that day. Last time we also ordered their coconut soup. The noodles never disappoint but this was the first time I ordered their soup. I was expecting it to be good, but it was fantastic. The best coconut soup I have ever had from a Thai place. The portions I receive have always been a normal size, enough to serve 2 hungry guys or 3 regular appetites. I highly recommend this restaurant for awesome Thai delivery.

The tastiness of food is what drives this review as well as the affordability of items, which is all a win aftering factoring that they even deliver. The bbq chicken is fantastic, the fried shrimp is still crispy at delivery and not soggy, the spicy soups are actually spicy and the commonly ordered Pad Thai and Pad See Ew never lets friends down. Really hands down, one of the better places I prefer to eat from when in El Sereno. I think the online ordering relationship with GrubHub has been cancelled recently. But phone orders are still good, so no problems there. Delivery may take a awhile, but not unbearably so about an hour. With the several orders put in they have never screwed up an order, items are requested and all accounted for. If you ordered a large Thai iced tea from here expect a really large bucket of it. Kind of like fast food cup sized of «large». :D

I been a customer for along time!!! I Would go in for the combination fried rice And the BBQ pork ribs. But lately they started changing their portions and getting very tight with their meats… I dont recommend this place unless your not very hungry because you wont be satisfied also if you decide to get delivery they expect a tip!!! A while back i ordered. About a $ 80 order for my whole family. I handed the asian delivery old man $ 100 and he didn’t return my change until i asked, and got upset and told me «no tip» i replied yes but not $ 20 im not a mean person so gave him $ 5 he got lucky cause he didnt deserve anything plus they advertise FREEDELIVERY … Rong fah has dissapointed me very much dont believe i will ever go back!!!

I ordered delivery to the CSULA dorms. It was on time and the service was friendly. We ordered Orange Chicken, Egg Rolls, Pad Thai with Beef, Shrimp Pad-See-Ew, Fried rice with Chicken, and Shrimp Yellow Curry. All of that costed about $ 54 including tip. Egg Rolls– Nothing special, tasted a bit like the ones that come frozen. I get that it’s easier, it keeps cost of labor down, but I like to see some creative recipes. Orange Chicken– Very orangey. I tend to like my chicken crispier but it wasn’t bad at all. Pad See-Ew– Really good, flavorful, had some bamboo shoots in it and the shrimp added great flavor. Pad Thai– Standard, nothing out of the ordinary but pretty good. Curry– Pretty good! Overall, really good, great for delivery. i would love to try some of their Thair BBQ stuff which sounds delicious.
