I use to enjoy this club in the early to mid 2000. I think i use to attend this club around 2003 to 2005. It use to be called Monte Cristo Club. I wish it could be changed back to the once old promoters. They played good music back then.

At first I wasn’t going to leave a Unilocal review. I actually initially left a review on this establishment’s FB Fan page. The«Co-Owner» of this club basically told me that it’s not his fault that I had such a crappy experience at HIS club. I beg to differ. I am finally sharing my experience here because, well I am a stickler for customer service and when a business owner basically wants to accept ZERO responsibility for the shenanigans or events at their establishment, basically tells me they care nothing about their patrons, nor do they care anything about their business, so I thought you all should know how it really goes down at Rooftop 3100. This is going to be long because I am quite annoyed. I also have nothing else to do right now so if you don’t care to read, just know their drinks suck, if Sean Healy Presents ANYTHING at this club or any club for that matter, you may have a subpar experience. With that said, don’t come here. If you want to read the details of what transpired on the night of 2÷6÷2014, keep reading. Here is the review I left on their FB Fan page: «Dwele had the WORST concert in life! The venue Rooftop 3100 was unprofessional + the sound was TERRIBLE. Doors opened at 8, but we stood in line until 9:15 so Dwele could do a sound check?!! Who does a sound check an hour before they perform… while people are waiting outside in the COLD to get inside. Additionally, they had FOUR horrible opening acts. Who needs that many karaōke singers to open for you?! Why? Just no! Then when Dwele FINALLY hits the stage well after midnight(he was supposed to come on at 10:30) he attempts to sing, but we couldn’t hear him? –_– so that sound check he did and made us wait in the cold for was useless. We walked out 10 minutes into his set. I don’t know who to be mad at. Dwele or Rooftop 3100. Either way I will never pay to see Dwele perform again, nor will I set foot in Rooftop 3100. Y’all need to do better if you want my business. Bye Felicia!» The«Co-Owner’s» Response to my review: Shame that you had that experience, but I know that The Rooftop 3100 staff are not responsible for your experience, the venue is often utilized by various promoters and they create their program flow for the night that they produce. You are definitely entitled to state what your experience was, but you should definitely know who to blame or accuse, it could be the artist, promoter, manager etc, luckily this was just a club review and nothing to be held liable for or there could have been issues that you would be held legally responsible for, just saying, Darius«Disco» Farrelly, managing partner Rooftop 3100 My thoughts on his lackluster response: I found out the promoter of this event was Sean Healy Presents… I expressed my displeasure with this«business» as well, however Rooftop 3100, as the club/venue for the event, they should also be careful on whom they allow to utilize their venue and they should also assume SOME responsibility on who they let use their club as a venue. Do some research who is running events at your business to make sure the events are ethical + professional. It says a lot about you as a business owner on WHO you also do business with. The birds of a feather saying also applies to business owners, situations + partnerships. If you plan on running a successful business, listen to what people are saying and advise the promoters of the events at your establishment on basic customer service skills. I am also a business owner myself and regardless WHO promoted said event, the event was held at YOUR location. Based on his response, I still will never enter this club regardless of who is promoting. If he doesn’t get gist what I’m saying, I’ll be by to check to see if they’re still open for business in 3 years. Excellent customer service isn’t about POINTINGFINGERS, it’s about OWNING the issue and doing what needs to be done to fix it. That’s a free tip. You’re welcome. Bottom line, do NOT patronize this establishment.

The club started of slow. It was a OK crowd. The DJ was excellent in his selection of music. We had got bottle service which comes with a host that suppose to make sure we l had our drinks. Well, it was of 5 of us. The waitress skipped over me and my sister and took everyone else order. I even had my hand up and she still walked right passed me. So we went to the bar and order our drinks. They were pretty weak. When the waitress return to our servicing area she said, «I should have asked her .» I said, «I did.» She apologized for the misunderstanding and made sure she checked on me personally. Now, it’ s time for the bottle service. I don’t need anymore weak drinks or waitress service. We can turn up now

DON’T FALLFORTHE«VIP» GIMMICK! This review is late, but better late than never. We went on 2⁄6 for the Dwele concert. Not only did it start an hour late the«VIP Upgrade» was a total rip off! We paid an extra $ 22 for seating and a private bar. First the VIP seating gimmick… yes it says«not guaranteed» on the ticket but really, unless you got there when they first open up, you are 99.8% sure you will not get a seat. That’s technically robbery. Why would a venue sell more«VIP» tickets than what they actually have space for? Next the«Private Bar». This was a bar off the main bar that was horribly stocked. The ONE bartender(bless her heart) had to keep going to the main bar to get stuff. The main bar was moving faster than the«VIP» bar! The management of this place needs to really go to classes. The way this place is run is horrific! A far cry from what it used to be some years ago. And it’s such a shame. The venue has such potential…

The Worst Service in Life. I was working here to do makeup for a fashion show, The guy in charge was rude to the models all night. yelling at all the women event ended up being shut down once the designers were informed this all designers had to pack up along with models and artist and hair stylist. while packing up models updressing while security yelling Get Out not sure if they wanted us leave our stuff not understanding yelling that doesn’t make anything smoother or make anyone move faster. Long Story short we are the ones that should have been upset come to find out the night before there was a shooting at this venue and someone died .this venue Never should have been open. I would never go here or recommend anyone to go here. I wish i would have gotten the guy name who was walking around being rude top self manager robo cop securtiy. Learn how to speak to people before you get a job dealing with the public.

I was invited to a birthday party last night and I had a blast! I am not sure why people go to club and review the curtains. Who the f cares about the curtains if you have a good time? Those are Prob the chicks and guys standing on the sidelines not dancing and drinking the one drink they brought their $ 10 for talking ish. So when I go to a club I am always pessimistic. I’m a boughie bitch most of the time and I tend to be a bit uptight(according to my bf) but I really try to be a little open minded every once in a while. I’m glad I was in this case. Ok, so the actual venue is a little cray: 3 flights of stairs to get in(hello! I’m wearing hooker heels! I didn’t come to workout), the«hallway» you walk thought to get to the club is actually like what you would find on a construction site to protect you from falling debris(scaffolding), and the interior isn’t like a palace. That’s the only bad thing! Once I got in I ordered 2 shots of Patron to get rid of the stank look I had on my face. That’s the boughie in me. Once I did that I was ready to get ratchet! Considering I was one of a handful of non-African Americans in the club I thought I’d have 1 more shot of Patron just to feel less uncomfortable.(no I’m not uncomfortable around black people. My bf is black and so is my best friend. I just feel like I’m being stared at when i dance so the alcohol helps me ignore it and have fun.) the drinks are a little watered down I think but I never go to a club expecting strong drinks and I also don’t go to any club expecting cheap drinks. I spent $ 80 on 5 shots of Patron and 2 cranberry and Absoluts. Not bad. I danced for 3 hours with my bf to great music. I have no complaints about the DJ. He played lots of recent stuff, some old school, and some reggae. So don’t show up and stand by the wall looking at furniture and curtains. This isn’t Ikea. It’s a club!

Quite divey. This bar wants to be something it will not be for quite a while and this is why: — The Entrance: It’s an obstacle course. Three flights of stairs, dark and dank. Then, a green lit tunnel, that feels like you are going through a party bus-esque jetway. — The Space: No clear focus point. Is it the bar, the stage, the dance/seating floor, or the«VIP» room in the back? — The Décor: Very 90s; couches with cup holders(with cigarettes buds inside) over a cut-out square of old burgundy carpeting; chandeliers(by the way, these don’t automatically class up a place) On the other hand, service was good. At least two gals came to see if we needed drinks.

Went there last night for drinks and had a whiskey sour and 2 vodka martinis-they were all done well and made by the owner herself! It was also the pre-Grammy party for WilesMag so had hors d’oeuvres through the night and glasses of champagne too! Music was late ‘90s hiphop(ChrisBrown pre– THE Incident) and danced a bit too! Huge space, great for events and last night was quite a rawkkin one! Extra star is for the fact that I can walk there from my apt!

AB Weddings & Special Events always writes a review for Venues that I host events at or plan. Here is my review for 3100 Rooftop on Unilocal. I had the honor once again to plan an amazing event for Fall Première Launch Party for BlackPearl Media Group. It took place on Friday September 27th at this awesome venue 3100 Rooftop. I heard of Monte Cristo back in the days but they totally changed the name to 3100 Rooftop which now the name makes sense being on the rooftop. I have never been here so this venue was all new to me. I have to say starting from the owner or partner of this Venue he was nice and helped me and our team big time for making our event a success. He knew exactly what we wanted for the night of and made sure it would be delivered. Parking was well organized, thank you to Rafael and his staff for being on top of things and making sure all the Guests had a spot and were happy. The Staff at this venue were beyond helpful especially Casey(Hope I wrote her name right). I met her the day of for Set-Up and damn! she was on it and made sure we were all satisfied and happy. She truly was a helpful girl I must say. Its spacious and a lot of sitting area which is number one for me. The bartenders were very friendly and made sure you got your drinks. As for me I am an Event Planner and my company is AB Weddings & Special Events. I have hosted numerous events in various Venues throughout LA and try to always post a review here. Like I said this Venue was nice and I would recommend it to anyone who would like to host any kind of events

I was looking for a club that played good hip hop and that had an area I could reserve for my 29th birthday party. I tried the Room Hollywood but you have to be a member of the association or something like that. It seemed to be too Hollywood for me. I started looking for places in my area and found Rooftop 3100. Reservations were really easy to get you just contact them through their website. They don’t charge to have a separate area but they encourage you to buy bottle service. I ended up getting bottle service for 250 for Grey Goose. The trek upstairs in heels is kind of scary but I made through the night without falling. There was a cover after 10:30 but most of my party got there by then. Valet parking was $ 10. You can park on the street if you can find parking. The other reviews were right in that the club was taken over by new owners so it seems like they’re changing the look of the place. What I loved about it was the music selection, the service was great! I wanted a place where I could drink and have fun dancing and that’s what I was able to do. I would definitely go back to listen to good music and dance the night away again.

Yikes! We ended up at this location due to a friend celebrating her birthday there. Points to call out: — free entry if you are on the list — friendly folks at the door — $ 7 for valet but I had to retrieve my own car at the end of the night — drinks were fair in price but low in alcohol, not sure that I even got a buzz — music was horrible! Maybe they save the better stuff for after midnight? We were there from 10:30 — 11:30ish and the DJ seemed to only play old rap(some stuff that wasn’t even popular) — the interior was SO run down, I cannot imagine what the place looks like with the lights on — the crowd was fairly diverse for the time we were there on Sat but then again, we didn’t stay too long. — the location didn’t show up on the map properly(used Waze) and it is actually on top of a business but the entry is in the very back — the flooring and stairs are a little scary and I am very surprised that no one has hurt themselves over there. I think one part of the rooftop walkway appeared slightly dented in and moved under the foot… I think they are overdue for a building inspection. I wouldn’t come back here again… ever

There was a new club promoter or manager or something that happened in the past few months when the main stage got a large tag on the wall and the location was changed from The Monte Cristo to Club 3100, and this is when the club slowly lost it’s ambiance, as well as it’s way. This was the home to some of my favorite clubs, as well as club nights for many years. I noticed that things were changing a few months back, the bathroom was repainted from Red to Purple, and candles were added to the bathroom. Which was a good thing, and a nice touch. Everything else I saw happen to this once excellent venue, is a negative. The elaborate lighting system was removed, the lights no longer flashed in any sequence like before, all you got was a simple strobe of color. All the club furniture has been moved around to break up room flow, and just doesn’t work as well as it used to, as far as dancing and movement and comfortably. 3 weeks ago when I was there on a Sunday night for a Club called Malediction the sound system was totally blown out, the club sounded great just a month earlier. This was one of my favorite venues. It’s doubtful that I’ll be back here as long as whomever is currently running the venue is still in charge, whomever this new management or promoter is they came in and reduced quality of this location, and have degraded considerably this once 5 star location.
