This is a small burger place at LuValle Commons(by the UCLA School of Law). There are different types of burgers to choose from. The workers are usually college students. Service will depend on who is manning the station. Usually they do a good job, but there are times of miscommunication and confusion. The food is good for the price. Also Roadside Grill shares its location with others in LuValle Commons. You may be tempted with the salads or the pizza or the soups or the subs. If you choose to go to Roadside, you’ll tell them what you want and they’ll make it for you. It’s like subway because you can pick your fillings. Then you pay at a station close by. Past the register are seatings. It can be crowded depending on when you come but if anything, you can sit on the grass or benches around the area. You are on UCLA after all.

Really busy. Three six person tables occupied by a single person. Finally got a table and ordered the French dip. Meh, not much flavor. My daughter’s bacon double cheeseburger was dry. Crispiest fried chicken wing ever were really and so was their fried calamari.

One of several spots where you can grab some food in the North Campus area. I like this place. Service is quick and it’s easy to walk in and out — some of the other spots in the North Campus area take FOREVER. Burgers are decent and relatively cheap.

Ever since I came to UCLA, I’ve been a pescetarian(the only meat I eat is seafood), so I was pleased to find that a couple places on campus actually had decent veggie burgers. Don’t get me wrong, they’re not fabulous, but they’re good enough to satisfy me for lunch every once in awhile. They also have delicious onion rings, which are one of my guilty pleasures. The main problem with the Roadside Grill is that it gets REALLY crowded right around the times when I need to be able to get food quickly(between classes). But other than that, it’s really easy and not expensive.

This is probably the first place to open and last place to close at the LuValle Commons, which makes it super convenient with class schedules. They have a great breakfast menu; I believe they make custom omelets every morning. Their burgers are pretty good; I am a fan of the veggie burger and chicken burgers. They also have chicken strips but I haven’t tried them. The service is really slow so be prepared to wait. Their sauce is good as are the onion rings. Burger, drink, and fries is about $ 4-$ 5 a person.
