Best sports bar in L. A! The bartenders are cool and nice, the manager Sly is da man! and the food here is exceptional. I haven’t had the organic free range kabobs yet but I will… what I have eaten here are the fish tacos and I know this is a big statement I’m about to make but, these are maybe the best fish tacos in all the land!!! Tortillas are hand made at Rivalry, the fish is quality and cooked perfectly and the salsa tastes hand made and it’s actually spicy! The atmosphere here kinda like…“mature classy sports bar with a laid back vibe”…it’s a big open room facing out to Wilshire Blvd but somehow this place is cozy and welcoming. This is quickly becoming one of my new haunts… good thing my work brings me here often these days… I’ll make sure to review the chicken kabobs soon

Went here for lunch. Service was mediocre. Ordered a turkey burger, an hour later it showed up cold with cold fries. Both sides of bun were black on the inside. So charred that when I went to put on ketchup to make it less dry(patty was shriveled up it was so overcooked), the lettuce was covered in black dry flakes of burnt bun. Ate half, two fries and left. Washed it down with the Coke that came 20 minutes after I ordered down. Had charred taste in my mouth after mouthwash and two sticks of gum later. Work in an office and meeting clients felt gross and just plain wrong after. Not a hater but come on now, even the café across the street can make a better burger, anything in less than ¼ of the time as this slop joint. Couldn’t pay me to go back, honestly.

I’ve really been looking for a cool sports bar in LA for some time. Big Wangs is pretty cool, but isn’t quite what I’m looking for. So I was pretty excited when I found Rivalry just by driving by on Wilshire one day. My first experience here wasn’t actually the best. There was a big UFC or maybe it was like a Mayweather fight(I can’t remember exactly which one) but I called the day before to get the cover charge & was told $ 10. I was completely fine with paying that price, so imagine my surprise when I showed up just the next day & they said it was $ 20. I showed the lady at the door on my phone that I had called just last night & was clearly told $ 10. It didn’t matter, so I ended up going somewhere else because $ 20 is just too much for a fight. I think it was more the principal than the price honestly. But what I did notice while there was all the TVs that were in there, so I knew I’d come back. I came back for some playoff football. This time I was definitely staying and going to give Rivalry a real shot. I like the the interior with the brick walls, wood walls, autographed player jerseys and posters. It’s cool that the bar is directly in the middle and a good size. I do think they could come up with a better table configuration, but they have plenty of tables. The food is just average, service is pretty good, but not great & parking is slightly tricky because it’s one hour parking directly in front of the place(who wants to worry about getting a ticket the whole time you in a place). All in all, if watching whatever event you want to see is the main focus, give this place a try. There are so many TVs and all flat screens. Plus, the waitresses are pretty attractive if you care about that kind of thing(what guy doesn’t, right?). There are no real complaints and I could be talked into 4 stars, but I feel like it’s a place that does a lot of things good, but nothing really great.

Their Fast $ 5 menu seems like a good deal and the items sound tasty enough, but wait until you get the food. This is a joke, right? You call this a salad… Maybe for my 6 year-old.

So… it’s not that this place is bad but it’s not great. Yes, they have a lot of tv’s and play all of the football games you want to see. But some of the seating is a little weird in relation to the tv’s so we ended up just sitting at the bar. Shockingly, service wasn’t great even though we were sitting so close to the bartender. We had to get his attention numerous times even though it wasn’t crowded at the bar. He seemed to have friends there and they took up most of his attention. The food was also average and you could honestly get better at most other places. The portion sizes were good but the food wasn’t worth it. I also read about the mac and cheese on Unilocal and it looked like boxed mac and cheese once I saw it. Overall, if you just want to drink and watch the games, head here. If you plan to eat and have a full experience, Nah.

Been coming here since Rivalry open. Had the best times and memories. I took a 6 month break from coming to this place. Had the worst service I have ever experienced at this bar. Both the bartender and the bar back had the best time talking to their buddies. Meanwhile here where me and my brother where sitting our cups remained empty. My brother would have to stand up and go get the bartender if we wanted a refill. Might as well been a self serve type of place. Service here was just horible. Not to mention the bar had 15 people or so. By the way I arrive at 5pm asked for menu and got the regular menu. At 730 I asked for menu and got the happy hour menu and went to order and was told sorry can’t order on that menu. I will have to say, if you were staff at this bar, it was like having a paid night off. Disappointed. Dissatisfied. Leaving thirsty.

This is the worst place. I walk in and there is all of 3 people and all of the service people ignored us to clean and it was an hour before closing. The bartender didn’t smile at all and said what do you want. If you don’t like your job then find a new one. Don’t take it out on the customers. Guess I will find another sports bar.

Found this place on accident. The waitress, I think Audrey was her name made my experience simply amazing. 5 star service from this gal. The wings were off the hook. Only downfall was the bartender was rude. Still gets 5 stars for that waitress & the hot wings.

I really enjoyed this bar! TV’s everywhere and they had all the games with quality sound. The service was great and on point with everyone! The food was delicious I had the grilled chicken sandwich and it was yummy. They have parking on the side for $ 5 can’t beat that. If your in the area check it out!

Went here today to watch Sunday night football and was really chill. They have plenty of tvs and they even have tvs on the patio. Our server was great and the food was good. Basic bar food options such as wings nachos and burgers. They also have a good beer selection. I will definitely come back.

Only one bartender on football sunday? I think Zachary was his name. Nice guy, but completely oblivious to customer needs. Super slow and all chilled out, which I’m sure is great for his inner self, but it’s bad for the customers. It’s PACKED! One GREAT bartender on a sunday like that is stupid scheduling, but one unaware bartender? Awful. How could you schedule like that? And for a sports bar, I’m not sure the person running the TVs is even aware of how sports work or what people like. If a game has ended and another has begun, it shouldn’t take 10 minutes to change a couple of the TVs. I mean, you’re a «SPORTSBAR», you should know what’s playing and when and be on top of it. And the waitresses are slooooowwww… The food isn’t bad, when it comes out correctly and they DO play all the games… and there has been another bartender that was there before that was cool and more aware of his customers. Wonder if he’s still around. So, I’m not all negative about it, but I will be if the next time I try this place it’s the same way. Dear manager, check your employees for competence please. Staff make all the difference.

I work very close by and this is now the 3rd time I’ve been here for lunch. This bar seems to change names every few years, not sure if the owner stays the same or not. I inquired 2 weeks ago about having a fantasy football draft here. I mean, it was random Tuesday night so I can’t imagine they wouldn’t want us. Manager could care less about getting 12 guys in the door that want to eat and drink for 3 hours. After being shot down for food or drink specials I was told we couldn’t even use the Wifi. Really? I ate there again today and without going into a lot of details, the service and food is a joke. There were only about 12 people here so the«we are slammed» excuse is not valid. 2 menus for 3 people, cheesy prices of paper taped to the tables for table numbers, app comes out with food, no dressing with salad then over 5 minutes to get it. They are not training their people, not do they care. I won’t be going back

I was staying next door at the Kimpton Wilshire Hotel, so wanted to grab a bite to eat. Being that it was a Sunday night and football was on, you’d think it would be packed, however, it was pretty empty. It has a sports bar feel with tons of TVs with many games on. I the appetizer of chicken fingers and fries to go. While I was waiting, the server offered a glass of water and when my food was ready, I took a water to go. There were five fingers and plenty of fries in the box. The food was tasty and the portions were plentiful.

This bar’s only rival is its own mediocrity. It’s a sports bar– there are TVs showing sports games, typical bar food, pretty typical beers on draft, typical Happy Hour special, etc– but really no personality. A list of averageness if I may– Parking: Street. This is located smack on Wilshire so I imagine after 6pm, it’s a nightmare. Apparently there are a few pay garages around but since there is no dedicated parking, best to Über. Entertainment: A lot of TVs but not an abnormal amount like many before me have commented. IMO, the TVs above the bar are way too high for comfort. I also feel like the tables are at awkward angles making the other options less appealing than the neck-craning bar seats. Food: Taco Tuesday $ 2 tacos were tasty but didn’t knock my socks off. The wings were a bit on the spicy side. $ 12 for 12 wings and that’s the happy hour price. The bread pudding was okay. Service: I am torn here. We got everything we asked for with relative quickness but there was something a little off about the guy. For one, he was wearing transitional glasses that never transitioned to the normal inside setting so I felt like I was ordering from a blind man all night. NBD, it just made it a little difficult to connect. There were some awkward moments where he would take my next order, tell me to hold on, go do something else and then have me repeat what I just told him 90 seconds prior. This happened more than once. Atmosphere: I came for the first game of the Rockets/Warriors Western conference championship. It was apparent that most were rooting for the Warriors but no true fans. They were also showing the NBA draft lottery. There were a few whoops when Lakers got 2nd pick but otherwise there was little fanaticism that night. This is not really the bar’s fault but it didn’t help my perspective of the mehness. OVERALLRATING: Average. Like a B student but with more B minuses than pluses.

The best way to be with people you love on game day. Easy views of the games(there are so many screens) and plenty of game day food and drinks. My husband has a variety of beers to choose from and I have a small but decent selection of wines. GOCATS! I do wish they were a bit more paleo and GF friendly though! :)

Came in during lunch with my co-workers, not really expecting much, and left a huge fan of this place. My biggest pet peeve while having lunch, is slow service. After all, I only have an hour lunch. But that was not an issue here. The service was great, the food came out within a reasonable time, and it was so tasty. Everyone in my group loved their food. The wings are definitely a must try. I had their grilled chicken sandwich and loved it. Can’t wait to come back here to watch some games.

Came in to watch Sunday night football with my man the other night. Who am I even kidding? I came for the burger and I left before the first quarter was over. If you’re into sports, this is an awesome place to come check out a game. There are TV’s everywhere you look! Back to the burger… it’s excellent! The Rivalry burger to be specific. Perfectly cooked on a freshly made bun. Super fresh ingredients and everything that is supposed to crunch did — the perfect amount of lettuce and tomato and pickles. We also had some tortilla chips and guacamole and that was also quite good and flavorful. Excellent and attentive service by both waitress and busboy. The place looked clean and well maintained. I would absolutely recommend coming here.
