Was craving Mexican food and this place hit the spot. My sister and I got a burrito and they were HUGE! They have an awesome salsa bar with grilled onions and other yummy stuff! Cute Authentic Mexican décor. The horchata was great and the melon water was on point. Best part was the free drink refills. Their menu looks so good! They have an abundant mexican menu. I’ll be coming back to try their caldo one day.

The quesadilla is BOMB! Everything I’ve eaten there is fantastic! The service is good! They have a tv in there-I don’t speak Spanish but I enjoy watching the Spanish channel and watching late night soaps-I think it makes the food better.

This is one of the best Mexican food places out here in Northridge! I grew up by one in Lake View Terrace and this location does not disappoint it easily beats Chipotle and other restaurants that say they are Authentic Mexican food, go to Rigos it won’t disappoint !

so decided to stop by here since its been a while and was just craving anything greasy hardy and good scouring the menu i settled upon nachos, but then the cashier asked if i wanted fries or chips. first mistake, i should have gone with chips then if asada, i said sure why not which the chef ultimately asked if i wanted super fries and i said sure! got home opened it up, and… oh shit this looks gross already first off i thought $ 15 for this??? it’s a lot of food don’t get me wrong but it is utter disgusting the asada was dry flavorless and out right gross the fries were under cooked the crazy hot salsa was poured into the center no cheese. nachos without cheesE!!! even super fries without cheese??! what?! and there was just a load of beans in between… so according to rigo’s tacos, super fries are fries meat and beans… ok never returning here

Been eating from this location for a couple years now. Always been great and tasty. Today was a carne asada burrito which was just full of rice and nearly no meat at all. I threw out more than half in the trash. Very sad to see the changes of what it is now versus what this place was. Not buying again. Tasteless burrito of rice and a smell of asada meat.

Nothing like super nachos and a large horchata! We come here so often that the guys already know our order and make it as soon as they see us walk in the door.

I always choose this rigos taco out of any Mexican food around always delicious. I’ve been here maybe 10 times and the lady is always kind. The food is always so good. Well on my last visit as I came in with a craving for my usual Gordita de asada. I bit into a raw barely cooked tortilla. the one that is supposed to be fried well it taste like play do and looked like it too. I assumed he the cook made a mistake or something, so as I kindly explained my self and said it wasn’t cooked well. the man which was the cook and I believe may of been the owner he was light skinned colored eyes and short. well he burst out with anger saying«That’s the way it came out too bad. what, do u want it raw? do u want your money back is that what then take it… WTF!!!I the employees looked scared and used to this mistreatment I can’t imagine how he «runs this place… I couldn’t believe how I was spoken to so I left the food paid and walked away and will never come back to this place again.

Just your average Mexican fast food place with nothing special. It always is empty and today when we went to get food they were on break just hanging out. It looked like the place had been dead for an hour. A plus about the place is that they offer a CSUN discount and they are open late. They are a little pricey and there is nothing special. We got the chile Relleno plate and a carne Asada burrito. The Chile Relleno had too much cheese on it, but was okay. The carne Asada burrito was average and you could get it at any place. Nothing else to say about this place. I probably won’t come back again because it is just like any other Mexican fast food. I’d rather go to a taco truck.

I decided to try this spot out since I like getting coffee at the 7-Eleven in the same parking lot some mornings. I asked them if they served a breakfast burrito and the young lady behind the counter said ya we have chorizo and… and I was like stop right there! Sold! She chuckled and asked ok with what else? She mentioned potatoes as an option and I said sounds good! It was kind of pricey at $ 6.50 but heck even McDonald’s sausage McMuffin combos are getting to be about that price level now so oh well. You want to save money… eat at home otherwise you’re paying for convenience and hopefully a good tasting meal. Well in this case… I got both because that chorizo breakfast burrito was big and thick(get your minds out the gutter people) with lots of flavor. I gotta say I was impressed with it and it did take more than a few minutes to prepare(with it being freshly made to order and all… go figure). However, it was well worth the wait and this place had a certain DDD charm about it. So I definitely am intrigue now to come back and try the tacos and carne asada and see if this place can really knock my socks off and increase their rating with me.

The food i have gotten so far has been good. They are also open past 9pm where other places are not! $ 6.50 for a burrito is a little pricy but not too bad. Rice was a little mushy.

This place is perfect for CSUN students since they give a discount and give free refills. It’s cheap, quick and good. I always get the taco’s with a drink, their melon is the best drink to get on a hot day. It’s so refreshing and sweet. Their cashiers are a little slow and awkward but their cooks are always a good time… seriously have a conversation with them they are hilarious.

Just had their carne asada tacos with red salsa. They were good no fat on the meat! Hubby had tacos al pastor with green salsa and he liked them a lot. Nice little place

My boyfriend and I love coming here because it’s down the street from his place. Always good food. Really greasy though. Make sure you grab more napkins than they give you! They gave me a quesadilla once wrapped like a burrito that I actually thought they gave me the wrong order. My bad! It was just weird to me, and made it difficult to eat, but hasn’t stopped me from going there.

If I had the option I wouldn’t leave a star, I stopped by in the morning on my way to work and was super hungry… I thought hey why not a Riggo’s to start off my morning… wrong! I got a breakfast burrito– egg, ham, hash brown; it was small, no flavor, and extremely salty, the saltines overpowered any flavor from the egg or ham. Plus it was overpriced, $ 6.75!!! I thought it would be worth it and it wasn’t :(you’re better off with any other fast food drive through. This is definitely not the spot for breakfast burritos, hope my bad experience prevents you from having one.

Stopped here yesterday on a whim. I was taking the dog back from the dog park. I had promised her that if she was good and didn’t bark at other dogs then I would get her a taco. So I’m driving and telling my girlfriend about how one of the best things about the Valley, and LA in general is that you don’t really have to go out of your way to ‘look for’ tacos. So she’s just like, «There» and points to this place. So I stopped. Food– It was really really good. I got a carne asada burrito and 3 chicken tacos for my girlfriend and 1 chicken taco for the puppy. The chicken tacos were A-mazing. The chicken was super tender and really well seasoned and the hot sauce was really really good. The salsa also epic. The burrito was good but not quite as good. The carne asada wasn’t as good as the chicken,(little dry). The beans and rice were so perfect. This place has all this good mexican food and just looking at what other people there were eating, I will be back to try it all.

Rigo’s Taco 9 has serious taco competition in the immediate area and that does not even include the endless stream of taco trucks. It’s a hole in the wall and if you didn’t know better, it’s the kind of place that looks like it’s been there forever even though it just opened in May of 2013. They are limited on space to be sure and that includes the kitchen. Lunch time was busy and the two people working, the counter person and the cook, had a tough time keeping up with the orders. My simple order of 3 tacos and a torta took nearly 20 minutes to fill and the people who ordered after I did got their food first. So onto the food itself. I ordered a Chicken Torta and 3 street style tacos to go. Chicken Torta– A very generous portion on a very fresh roll. The overall flavors were there and this was pretty nicely prepared. Could of used a bit more guacamole but it was big enough for two people to share. Carnitas Taco pictured and two carne asada already devoured. The carnitas was better than the carne asada(way too tough and grisly even for a street style taco) Nice corn tortillas though… Rigo’s scored the three stars strictly for the chicken Torta, take that out of the equation and this is a two star experience all the way. Better food, better service and better pricing at similar places makes for an unlikely return visit.
