This is the second time I eat here. The place tries to be a Panda Express but with less flavor and poor execution. The orange chicken I recorded today was not crispy, and looked pink. The broccoli beef was all broccoli and one piece of beef. The chow me in ad no salt or flavor of any kind. From now on I’m taking the time and waiting for pollo loco or carls jr.

Well all i can say is that food is no good !! If you like old n cold then your in luck because thats what it is .food used to be ok but about a year ago things went downhill and never came back, so avoid if possible theres a reason why line is always sooo short.

The orange chicken is much better when it is fresh. The chow mein was still a bit plain but decent for a quick meal. The good thing is you don’t have to wait for them to prepare your order. Most of the items are already sitting there in the heated plates. Their service is not super friendly but whatever. You can add a drink and an appetizer to your meal for $ 2 more which sounds pretty reasonable.

Food is gross! You have to have absolutely no taste and like gross blend tasteless food. Loaded with GMOs. Expensive for what is it. It s almost as expensive as the restaurant on campus. This place is a joke and people who eat here are just filthy. There are plenty of healthier/tastier options on campus for the same price. This is NOT real food.

Noodles are very bland. Everything that I had was greasy. Service was fast and friendly. Not worth it for the price. No wonder there was no line.

I found out why this place has the shortest line in the food court, because it’s terrible! The food has it’s moments I guess. What makes this place really bad is the lousy costumer service. Most of the staff has that f**k you attitude and they have that look as if they don’t want to be there. I found a raw piece of beef, when I inform them they tried to persuade me the beef is medium rare. Too bad I didn’t tell these people that I’m actually a cook myself I know the difference between medium rare in raw meat. I told them I didn’t want the meat and they asked with a really bad attitude, «what do you want us to do about it?» This is the last time I go to Rice Garden and that line has gotten a lot shorter.

This place is pretty bad. I had Thai noodles and they were very bland. Vegetables were bitter and they charged a dollar extra for chicken! Who does that? I get maybe seafood, but chicken? Nah. Overpriced bad food. Avoid.

This place is terrible their orange chicken is horrible. It’s always nasty whenever I get anything there. Everything is tasteless. I feel like I’m just chewing on gum that’s tasteless. Especially the chow mein. They put so much onion in it’s ridiculous. It’s like, «do you want more chow mein with your onions» the orange chicken is rock hard sometimes and burned inside. I don’t even know how that’s possible. And the little vegetables in rice are rock hard sometimes too. They obviously use frozen foods. They need to step up their game or else I’m done. Over all it wouldn’t recommend this place for two reasons, the food quality, and the price. Price is ridiculous at this place as well. Not down to pay $ 10 everyday for poor quality food.

I don’t know where to begin, a lot of rice not quite a garden… Let me begin by saying that the sides are better than the meat dishes. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken and Orange Chicken. ALOT of Kung Pao not much chicken, and the Orange chicken was squishy and gelatinous. Would I be back? Maybe if pollo loco and Carl’s jr were closed. In conclusion 3⁄10 would not eat again.

This place isn’t good at all. The first time I ate here was bad but I didn’t want that to be my final decision on the placeso I decided to give it another try. However, the second time was worse. The orange chicken tasted awful and was sour for some reason. I couldn’t even finish my plate because of how bad the food was. 30 mins later into class I felt like throwing up and felt really bloated. Don’t reccomend this place at all. The university store sells subs that taste waaaaaay better than this.

Food looks better than it tastes. You can feel all the greasy oil going down your throat. The«orange chicken» doesn’t even have chicken at all, it looks like dough and it’s pretty darn pricey!

Only good thing about this place is the chow mien. Orange chicken looks really tasty. It’s greasy and taste chewy like it’s pure cheap fat from the inside. It was not worth buying it during my class break. The rice was decent. The prices are not worth the food. I would rather go to Panda Express and spend a little more gas then try the Orange chicken at this place again. Plus it’s the same price at panda or maybe cheaper at panda. But hey good job on being on college campus where students need this convenient location.

If you’re on campus and you’re not on a budget like most students here, you should most definitely try this place! The BBQ porkcis amazing and one of my top choices. ALTHOUGH, I believe it is $ 1.00 extra. I tend to stay away from most rices at Chinese restaurants and this one falls into that category as well.(I don’t like grainy.) The lines is always fast so I don’t mind the wait during lunch hours for high school kids and university students.(This place sometimes doesn’t even have a line during rush hour since it’s a little pricey.) Although I do love this place. I was with a friend of mine and her sister. They ordered some food from here and when they were about to eat, they found a hair.(Now, to me a hair doesn’t really bother me but that deserves a star deduction.) My friend’s sister went to go make a complaint and demand to get a new plate. She told me the guy gave her a glare with an attitude and said, «I don’t see a hair.» The manager overheard and demanded her employee to change it right away and was extremely apologetic to my friend’s sister. Just remember to always check your food!

The chow mein was greasy and the mushroom chicken was tasteless. Just a horrible place for Chinese food. Why is this place still in business? Avoid this place if u crave Chinese food.

If you are on the CSULA campus, have no time to leave and want Chinese food, you go here. Its not that great and probably loaded with MSG but it will do in a pinch. You get more than enough food and it is reasonably priced.

For CSULA food, this place isn’t that bad. The prices are decent for the portion sizes you get. This isn’t earth shattering food, nor is it as bad as MickeyD’s, but it does the job. You need to ask for chopsticks if that is your preference though, as they usually give you a fork.

Rice Garden is a chain. This one’s located inside Cal State LA. It was a little after 12 and there were lines for all the restaurants at the food court. I had the Kung Pao chicken in a small container for $ 3.30. It came with a fortune cookie that said that I was considerate and generous. The chicken was low grade. The flavor was okay,

Pretty standard Chinese fare at the Cal State LA Golden Eagle Food Court. The servers are friendly, the prices are high but pretty consistent with other food court options(which are always slightly inflated). The food is fine; completely standard steamtable Chinese fare. The servers are friendly. It’s fast when you don’t want to wait to have your food made at another place. They just scoop it into a styrofoam container and off you go. Nothing special, but can’t really hate on it either.
