Food here is great. I buy lunch from here at least once a week. The reason we keep coming back is the pupusas! Best pupusas in town. Chicharron, queso, and loroco is my s***. Staff could be a little friendlier just saying.

It’s a great restaurant to get pupusas, platanos fritos and yuca frita. My late husband, who’s Salvadoran started coming here for the authentic cuisine and my family has been coming back since. Prices are good, decent dining room and parking is available in the back.

Went in for lunch today with my husband and my mother. I ordered a plate with a hard-shell taco stuffed with mashed potato and a chicken enchilada, rice and beans. Mom had the machaca burrito(she asked that they don’t include rice, beans, or cheese in it), and my husband had the chile relleno plate. We were all very impressed with the authentic flavors; nothing seemed to taste processed nor out of a can. Bar the fried tortilla for my taco, the food was NOT greasy nor overly salted. the place is quite small; maybe only seats about 18 people in a small area but, quite worth it. A young man named Rigo was on the ball with the 8 or so customers by checking on us and cleaning tables as they became unoccupied. They also had a tiny salsa bar with several excellent types of salsas. And to top it off, their price range is awesome. These guys will have to find a larger venue in the near future for sure =)

Food here iz yummy! The pupusas are fresh! The pollo en crema is absolutely the best! The cabbage salsa served with all they’re platters is also yummy!

Was in the mood for pupusas and remember driving by this spot several times in the past and decided to stop by. As I walk in first thing I notice is the cleanliness and the welcome. I ordered to go so I was offered to sit down at a table anyways. The young lady brought me chips with beans and cheese and some salsa, appetizers for to go? Gold star! Then I tasted the salsa, mist Hispanics can judge the food simply by tasting their salsa, they won me over. Haven’t tried my pupusas yet but I’m sure I wont be disappointed. Prices are typical of a salvadorian restaurant. They do take credit cards, another plus.

mi pueblo is in a lower-middle class/poor area in south los angeles so the standards are different. my warning to readers is don’t go here if you’re too used to dining in trendy westside and hollywood places. in fact, why are you even reading this review? when will you ever venture to this part of town? i work around this area and am always scouring the boulevards for places to eat that aren’t your typical mexican taco/burrito joint or a burger stand(or a combination of the two) and there are lots of ‘em. one of my co-workers and i recently tried mi pueblo, a pupuseria, and it was quite the yum! the food was great. i love pupusas and they have several different kinds on the menu. i got pupusa de frijoes with a tostada de ceviche. my friend got pollo verde. my pupusa was the best i’ve ever eaten and the curtido wasn’t exactly fresh, but was still crisp and yummy so i won’t complain. the pollo verde was spicy and great, served with rice(possibly beans, but i can’t remember) and a plain pupusa the place was a typical of the eateries in the area. nothing special about the décor to note. they have table service, but its clear they are used to take out orders from the counter. the prices are extremely reasonable. i’m definitely returning here for future lunches!
