Place was empty. Was seated and the waitress comes back saying the cook went on his hour break. After reading the reviews, glad I didn’t dine here.

Worst Chinese food and service I’ve ever had. We came in late at night(around 9 or 10) when no one was in the restaurant, but that didn’t mean faster service, nope. We all ordered water, but they only had water bottles, so that was $ 1.25, and it took 15 minutes to get to our table. It took 15 minutes to get water bottles to the only customers in the restaurant. Then my friend’s egg rolls(baby egg rolls, really) took half an hour to arrive. I ordered kung pao chicken and it wasn’t spicy at all as the red pepper icon promised. It also should have been called kung pao veggies ’cause it was overloaded with red and green bell peppers and onions. My friend even said she forgot I had chicken in there, but what really irritated me was that my steamed rice was counted as a side order. … Who eats kung pao chicken without rice?! On top of that, the steamed rice was super dry. All this for $ 12. I felt way jipped all things considered. Oh, and you’ll be paying in cash if your order is under $ 10. Watch out for that if you still want to go after reading this.

At 7:19, I ordered delivery. They promised the food within 40 minute. After 80 minutes, I called back and they told me they accidentally delivered my food to my neighbor. I told them to make it again and complete the order. Now, 141 minutes after ordering, it finally shows up. I asked for a 20% discount but only got $ 5 off. The lady on the phone laughed at me. This food better be good enough to make up for the shit service. Update, it’s not. I wish I could give this place zero stars because I’m ashamed of the entire decision to order from Red Dragon.

Definitely low end Chinese food, its the kind of place that I shudder to think of what the inside of their kitchen might look like. I made the mistake of ordering some chicken dish and was quite adamant about it being white meat chicken, but it was far from what a chicken great should’ve looked like. Very odd and sketchy laying in some sad brown sauce. I am sincerely perplexed that anyone could give this place 5 stars…

I’ve been to this restaurant 5 times. It is, quite simply, the BEST Chinese food I’ve ever had. And, I’ve eaten quite a bit of Chinese food in my life. You wouldn’t expect this quality from a restaurant attached to a bowling alley. I’ve had most of the items on the menu… hard to go wrong. I see complaints about delivery time… I can’t comment on that since I always eat at the restaurant which has a pleasant, clean dining room.

Don’t order food from here unless you plan on waiting for at least an hour and a half! TWOTIMES I have been dumb enough to believe them when they say«45 minutes.» Never again. Not only did the food take more than twice the time they said it would, but they didn’t apologize or offer any type of discount or compensation for our inconvenience. Horrible service. Horrible business. Mediocre food.

My experience with this place is literally the worst experience I have ever had with any merchant of any type. I ordered food, and was told that it’d be here in 45 minutes. I called them after 90 minutes, and asked where it was(this happened the 2 other times I ordered from here as well). The manager got on the phone and said, it had only been 50 minutes. When I said, «well I looked at my previous calls before I called you», he proceeded to call me a liar. He literally said«You are lying». Upon hearing this, I told him I didn’t want the order anymore. This is where it gets good. He said«F— You M. F, you are a piece of sh-t». Now I don’t expect my chinese fast food place to treat me like I am eating at French Laundry, but this was a tad much. At any rate, I went down there. I introduced myself to him as the guy who he called«a piece of sh-t» moments before. He totally backtracked and gave us a free order. Just kidding, no he didn’t and we almost brawled in his dump of a restaurant. At any rate. This place sucks. The manager sucks. The food is actually crap and always takes forever. It’s attached to All Star Lanes, which is an awesome place, but Red Dragon-Eagle is basura.

Ordered food and was told 45 – 50 minutes which I was OK with. 75 minutes later, I call and my food hasn’t even been started. I don’t care how yummy their food might have tasted, they didn’t even call me to say they weren’t going to make my order.

The food is cheap and Delish! I had the war wan ton soup that had shrimp and chicken. Very good. Broth has great flavor. The Mongolian beef was tasty as well. The food was fresh! Crazy this is coming out of a bowling alley!

Since I’ve moved to the Eagle Rock area from San Gabriel(«The Chinese Disneyland»), it’s REALLY hard to find any decent inexpensive/tasty/take out/delivery Chinese food. This place is located right inside the bowling alley, which I’ve driven by plenty of times, but have yet to step foot in. This is my first pick for Chinese food delivery. Why? Because when I’m too lazy to cook or drive my ass down Mt. Washington to pick up food, this place delivers and I’m usually quite satisfied. My favorite is their Mongolian beef, vegetable chop suey, and the eggrolls! For about under $ 20, there’s enough for two and extra for lunch the next day.

I usually don’t give bad reviews to restaurants because everyone has there own taste, but I really feel like I just wasted $ 15 that I could have spent someone else. I ordered sesame chicken and they gave me sweet and sour chicken with some sesame seeds on it. And the egg drop soup was a weird color. When I told my friend about this, she said that she had also been there and I would have been better going to Panda Express just down the street.

Finally! I’ve found a place that delivers good Chinese food in Eagle Rock! I should add the caveat — I’m not looking for an authentic Chinese dining experience. My husband and I are both attached to east coast-style, white cardboard container Chinese food and searched high and low for a decent one around when I was pregnant and craving spicy, salty Chinese. I waddled my 9-month prego self into Red Dragon in my PJs and devoured a full order of Red Dragon chicken(kind of like spicy orange chicken) while enjoying a band playing in the adjacent bowling-alley bar(gotta love Eagle Rock). The chicken was dee-lish! Now I stick with lighter fare like the egg drop soup and chicken & broccoli, but have not been disappointed. I wish they made the east-coast style egg rolls, but whatever. The delivery is quick and easy, which is priceless when you have a newborn baby!

I am so sad. Red Dragon is my favorite delivery and I am moving this week! I am going to order one final time. And write a little review. My usual: –Kung Pao Chicken –Mongolian Beef –Orange Chicken –Two sides of steamed rice Feeds me and my husband usually twice. About 3 or 4 months ago this place was pretty good and dependable and then I swear they got a new chef, because the food got a lot better. If you haven’t tried this place in a while, you might want to try it again. Thanks for all the yummy food Red Dragon! I will try and come in and sit down for dinner some time.

I work right across the street, and I eat Red Dragon about twice a week. Mongolian Beef lunch special and/or Shrimp Chow Mein are my favorites. Add a little of the hot sauce, and some soy sauce, and you’re set. It isn’t a gourmet chinese restaraunt, but the prices aren’t gourmet either. Cheap, and very filling. I read some reviews on here, and people were upset about service, but at the same time, Mom n Pop shops don’t always have the best service. For the price you pay, its a great deal. I’ve recommended plenty of my friends there, and we grab lunch fairly often.

Either delivery or when I go bowling at All Star lanes I have the Mongolian chicken, it’s not the greatest thing on earth I can admit but it is what I like from this place.

First impressions of Red Dragon: — There’s a front door but you have to walk inside the adjoining bowling alley instead to enter — The place has a «B» rating — There is literally no one inside when we walk in and I have to walk back to the kitchen to get someone’s attention Second impressions: — We’re seated, the menu is not too expensive, and Family Guy is playing in the background. This isn’t so bad. — Our food is pretty good — standard Chinese fare, although the shrimp in my dish don’t taste 100% fresh. It came out quickly enough so it could be worse. Third impressions: — Our waiter ignored us for quite awhile after we had finished eating. He was too busy watching the television behind our heads. — Once he did get around to us, he cleared my boyfriend’s plates but not mine(assuming because there was still a bit of food on them) & yet didn’t offer a to-go box. — The wait for the check AND for it to get picked up & returned was excessive, thank you Family Guy. I am a pretty forgiving person — we were able to use a coupon that was apparently expired and our waiter, despite being more interested in tv than his job, was very nice when we did have his attention. The décor in the restaurant was clean and simple, which is always a plus. And there is the added bonus that I can walk to the restaurant from my apartment. All of those things considered, I would probably be back but for pick-up or delivery only.
