I’m about to go in on this place. I’m a local(around the corner from this truck) but first off homeboy who takes orders 90% of the time is a prick, doesn’t know how to talk to people without trying to sound like a hard ass. Stopped going in the first place cuz all their meats are bland or a few days old. I decided to give it another try and well, same issues except this time he didnt complete our order right. When my brother asked him if all 4 tacos were there he said yes with an attitude we decided to trust him. Mistake #1, again dudes a prick. We get home and sure enough there was only 2. Meats still sucks and ol Boy is still unprofessional. Overall, hope this truck gets shut down. Stick to Leo’s or any other taco truck that isn’t named rambos.

This may be the best LENGUABURRITO I’ve ever had. While most taco trucks lay on the flavors heavy and dish up burritos that overload with spice, salt, and ingredients, the Rambos burrito is softer and more balanced. The first thing you notice is the warm, soft tortilla, which stands out from other trucks. Then the beans and rice are flavorful and you can taste both of them as ingredients and not just as salt loaded fillers. This sets up the foundation for you to really taste the lengua, which is juicy and has the perfect fat content. Melt in your mouth delicious food. *If you’re used to the sodium & glucose overload that I’ve come to associate with street trucks(and American snacks), maybe you won’t like Rambos because the food doesn’t come with a side of diabetes and high blood pressure. Personally, I thought it was the most balanced burrito I’ve ever had. Goldilocks would eat here.

Unfortunately I was pretty disappointed with everything here. The meat and veggies were bland, and quite flavorless. The salsa was lackluster and the tortillas were stale for their quesadillas and tacos. I don’t really know what else to say with so much good competition in the area. I’ll be down the street at Leo’s.

It has been around 5 years. since then, tlll now I have been going to Rambos with my friends and family members almost every week. The workers there are so friendly and nice. They always greet me with a happy«hello» and the food comes out before you know it. You have to try their Lengua and tripas tacos they are so tasty. I usually get 2 al pastor tacos 2 lengua tacos and 2 tripas tacos. #GOTEAMRAMBOS :D

So here we go. I gave this spot 1stars, why? You may ask, well for a very long time this was the place to come around eagle rock but their quality taste was on point. As time went by they started to get sloppy and that one guy with the hat that is normally there late night weeknd taking orders was rude and I’m sure they started loosing business to local competition. Remember reputation is priceless and they were at the bottom. oh I almost forgot keep in mind that at one point this place was so good that I would always recommend this place to other people because it was good, sorry I had almost forgot that in important piece .“rememeber Rambos tacos the public can make you or break you!!!, so I’ve come 2x in the last 2 months and I think they are getting better. the guy that takes orders is a little nicer and their food quality taste a little, better, so I guess an improvement is better than nothing .I’ll leave you with this don’t take success for granted people. Value it

My favorite truck in this part of town. The cabeza is super tender, and the sauce on the pastor is way way spicy. Rad!

Place has bad food, I ordered a burrito and got old dry hard beans, don’t understand why people like it, I think they just don’t know better. I believe it’s still there because of all the occidental college kids.

Love love love Rambos. Best quesadillas around in my opinion. They are huge and a great price for what you get. I usually get the cheese quesadilla with sour cream and lettuce. Amazing. Super fast and friendly also. And you can’t beat their hours. While other food trucks are only open for about 2 hours in any one location leaving you wanting when you’re craving that late night snack, Rambos will be there! Highly recommend. Only thing is I wish they were open earlier sometimes for that afternoon fix. Oh well. I still love them.

Decent taco truck. Average carne asada quesadilla. Nothing too special. I did like the hot sauce and the GF seemed to enjoy her lengua and cabeza tacos which were not available at Leo’s next door(that night). I’m willing to give them another try to see how their carnitas are

Bam. Tripa tacos still killin’ it. I haven’t been back here since 2009. I kept passing by and finally got my friend to try it with me. She loved it too. She was so full that she said she only wanted a bite but I was definitely not going to share mine HAHA so I ordered her own. She ate it all. Full my ass. 2 tacos and 2 drinks, around $ 5.

I’ve been coming to Rambo’s for more than 20 years. I remember when they were in front of the tire shop on ER boulevard, in front of the school down the road from the Eagle Theater, and even when they were inside a parking lot across the street from Señor Fish… So I obviously knew what I am talking about. It used to be three tacos and a soda for $ 3. But that was back in the mid 90’s. Carnitas tacos and carne asada quesadilla are the way to go for me. Prices are still reasonable and I refuse to go to Leo’s. I am a Rambo’s loyalist. (213)

Rambo’s Tacos is the best taco truck in Los Angeles I believe. They are located it in Eagle Rock near a small church called«Victory Average.» You might be confused, because there is two food trucks, but this is the second one coming from Glassell Park. They are so great I love them. They serve tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and tortas. I tried everything, they have. I am not the biggest fan of tacos, but they are so good. I usually order chicken tacos they are amazing. The burritos are also very delicious, I order my burrito with cheese and the beans are the best. The quesadilla is super good. You can order a quesadilla with which ever meat you want. Sometimes I order chicken or asada with my quesadilla, but they are both good. The tortas are very good as well, they come with which, ever meat you like, cheese, beans, and if you like lettuce. Their sauce is so good, and I do not like chilly. The best thing about them is that their food is great and is not expensive at all. Their truck is really nice from the outside, because their painting. Even though customers eat outside, it is very clean. It seems as they clean outside a lot, even looking inside while ordering they are very organized and clean. They are also very nice, they have great customer service. Another thing I like about them is that they are fast, and they do not keep you waiting, even if you come with a large group of people. They also close very late, for those who party and are hungry right after Rambo tacos is always a great place to go. As late as it might be they are still nice, and they will also wait until you are done with your food.

Rambo’s tacos were a hit! I’ve came down for Leo’s tacos before but Rambos I feel were a bigger hit for me then Leo’s. I’m only comparing them both because there are right next to each other. The tacos de tripa are very good. The other meats are also very good. Warning the salsa is a bit hot & I like salsa maybe order tacos with sauce on the side. But everything else is very good!

I see Rambos truck all the time at night on this street. How could I not try it? I ignored the B rating and gave it a shot after seeing so many people in front of the truck. I fell in love with their carne asada burrito with everything and sauce on the side please. So much flavor and juice from the meat. Mmm I crave Rambos late nights now. Those that know me know that I am the pickiest person there is when it comes to Mexican food so if Rambos won me over it must be that good. I can’t vouch for anything else except the burrito. I was told their beans are cooked in pork fat. The absolute best way to cook those refried beans and authentic at that. Their competitor Leo’s Taco truck is always lingering near them to be a head on competitor. Watch out! FYI: They take visa and MasterCard.

Late night taco spot! There are not any in my area so eagle rock/hp area is where i turn to. I have only tried the asada meat both in tacos and burritos, very good. For me salsa has to be spicy and theirs is. I will come back.

Went looking for a Korean food truck that was not where it was listed so decided to compare tacos between two trucks. Leo’s Vs Rambo’s… Leo’s won… Leos: Decent Carne Asada, but the the inclusion of guacamole that seemed more like a purée or watered down salsa kind of spoiled the taste of the meat which they seemed to be very generous to put in the taco. The tortillas seemed pretty tasty and there was less inclusion of onions which I am used to having with my taco. The one lady was not as friendly as the cook and the drink selection was seriously lacking… Next attempt I will dive into the burrito. If it had anywhere near as much meat as the small taco I will be in heaven. Rambo’s Super friendly staff and an array of drink choices, but the Carne Asada was seriously lacking and was not the quality of meat I would expect. Felt like it just had no taste compared to what I expect from a good truck. The amount of onions and cilantro was fair. I also felt as if the tortilla was oily and had a strange taste to it. This place did not excite me enough to come back.
