This review is based solely off of my own experiences in the past 7 months since getting braces. The service from the doctor himself is great, it’s the little things that make the experience less than stellar. Staff is friendly as well…
It is primarily the hours… I selected this office because it is very close to home and I figured the convenience would make my life easier. Uh no– had a bracket come out on the farther back tooth and had the wire poking me. I had to purchase some wire cutters to cut the actual wire to alleviate the poking because nobody was available to handle it. (though I was told the phone system was down– but I called the emergency line. no returned call or answer, but when I did get a hold of someone I was told that nothing will be changed until the next appointment which was almost 3 weeks out. *smh* ok. beyond that the hours /​day of availability is not great for those who may have an emergency or whatnot, because some days the entire staff is in the Pasadena office… which I get it– you’ve got 2 offices, however, don’t you think it would be beneficial to your patients to have someone at the LA location, on a rotating basis to BE AVAILABLE in case of an emergency the assistants can handle?

Dr. Callender and his staff are the best! I’ve been a patient of Dr. Callender for years now. Dr. Callender and staff are very knowledgeable of their work. He has great suggestions if a problem arises during treatment and addition to having a great referral base. Dr. Callender and staff are like family to me and I can’t wait to show off Dr. Callender’s work with a smile! So, if you need braces be sure to make an appointment with Dr. Callender!!!

Took my 12 yr. old for a consultation and I was very impressed with this office. Dr. Callender is very knowledgeable and patient. He explained everything in detail and we will be using him. I will repost about our actual experience with the procedures but so far so good, we are very excited!!!
