I’ve stopped by stand twice so far, and I’ve sampled their Liquid Gold(pineapple, apple, lemon, mint) and Quench(apple, lemon, ginger) products. Of the two, I greatly preferred the Liquid Gold — it’s very gentle on the palate, and should be agreeable with most any person. The Quench’s ginger content really gives it a very aggressive kick. Pricing admittedly seems somewhat high($ 6 for a 12oz bottle, $ 8 for a 16oz bottle), but I primarily attribute that to the 3 day shelf life of their product, which undoubtedly results in higher discarded inventory costs(compared to a vendor that may be selling industrially produced beverages with a shelf life of several months or years). Their production costs are almost certainly another factor, as organic fruits and vegetables are clearly much more expensive than carbonated water and high fructose corn syrup. The ladies working the stand have been uniformly pleasant to deal with, as well as easy on the eyes. I was very impressed to see how one of them in particular(Brazil) was able to patiently withstand the steady whining barrage from various prospective customers regarding the stand’s pricing structure, and still remain professional and friendly in her replies. Of particular note is the following disclaimer printed on the label of their bottles: «WARNING: This product has not been pasturized(sic) and therefore may contain harmful bacteria that can cause serious illness in children, the elderly, and persons with weakened immune systems.» It’s similar to the disclaimer I’ve seen printed on bottles of raw milk, and I can only view that as a sign of a superior product that refuses to sacrifice excellence for mass marketability.

They have really good pre-bottled juice! The employees are nice and they let you sample the juice before buying it. I forgot what I sampled, but i did like all of it! My favorites were drop acid and liquid gold. Drop acid is a little spicy, so I enjoyed that. I feel really healthy after drinking it. Liquid gold is the juice for people who don’t really like juice because of the vegetable taste. Since it’s mostly made of fruit, it’s really good. The mint complements the pineapple well. Dr. Green tastes similar to drop acid, but it’s less spicy because there’s no habanero. People might think that it’s pretty expensive, but what most people don’t realize is how much produce is needed to create that much juice. Also their juice is cold-pressed, non-pasteurized, and organic. You get all the benefits of eating pounds of raw vegetables but in a bottle!

Press Brothers juicery is a new business in Union Station East portal(where the metro busses pick up). Located right above the Metro Red and Purple line the stand is open from 6am-630pm. They have a wide selection of juice flavors(prebottled) ranging in price from $ 6(12oz) and $ 8(16oz). The worker is really friendly and they are a nice new addition to an otherwise stagnant station. *They also offer 10% discount for Metro employees.
