What an amazing place! I had heard about Portola Paints through a friend who is a frequent customer. They have the most amazing colors and will even make a custom color for you. The customer service is outstanding. We were having a hard time deciding what shade of black we wanted… who would have known there were so many options. Maya and Casey were helpful and patient in suggesting the different shades that would match our décor. This is not the crappy Home Depot or Loews paint, their paint went on smoothly, excellent coverage and best of all, there was NO ODOR… The greatest paint ever! Support your local business, get real customer service, and real products.

Love the store, love the family that runs it. Talented, kind, thoughtful and so very, very helpful. Jamie, Casey and Maya have been stellar to work with and Jamie, to boot has done some specialty painting and is a real artist. I have gotten to know the owners and have only the best of things to say about their service and product. I will use them for design and color consulting in the future and highly, highly recommend Portola.

Sometimes even an interior designer needs a little help to get inspired and make decisions. Its one thing to make choices for my clients, but when it came to painting my own home I stumbled with the overwhelming options.
I wanted to use good quality paint and deep colors to create a warm, creative and inviting environment. I needed colors that would enhance my antique rugs and furniture but yet create a sophisticated room. As soon as I walk into to this shop I knew I had reached my destination. The atmosphere in the shop, from the lighting to the music they play and the devine chocolate covered coffee beans, is done with great attention to detail, design and perfection just like the paints they produce and the color palette they created Jaime and Casey were patient, fun and helpful and I felt at ease making choices and decisions. They gave me enough space while being available when I needed an input. They even help me create custom colors that would fit just right for some of the rooms. I highly recommend Portala, weather you are using a designer or doing it by yourself.

I recently visited this shop when redecorating my bedroom, and can highly recommend it to anyone looking for high quality paint and excellent customer service. After searching through several paint stores, all of which could not provide me with even the most basic spectrum of colors, I can honestly say you won’t find a selection of colors and finishes like this anywhere else. All employees were eager to help and worked with me individually, to explore and create the perfect color paint for my room. They were overly accomidating, allowing me to sample several paint selections before creating a custom paint that met my exact specifications. I started going to Portola Paints and Glazes when they were in Studio City and have been a major fan ever since! I’ve used their paints on my walls and on some of my wood furniture. I’ve turned a number of friends on to it all with rave reviews! Plus, Jamie and Casey are the best! Their (not so) new address on W. 3^rd St. is SO beautiful. Just being in there is inspiring– you find yourself just dreaming of things to paint!

When I decided to renovate my living room/​guest bath, I didn’t know where to start, so I figured I’d choose wall colors and go from there. I ended up at Portola Paints because of the positive reviews online and a few articles I read about their awesome products. Their showroom is gorgeous and has lots of workspace to lay out all your colors and work materials. Jamie helped me choose some incredible colors and even made me a couple of sample boards. Well, my project grew, and I took their recommendation to hire an amazing interior designer, Maya, come over for an in-​home color consultation — so glad I did because she made it all come together! I’m so happy with the way my place looks. Portola has awesome paints, no smell at all, just rich pure color. Highly recommended for customer service and product quality.

I needed some ideas for a guest room and stumbled across these guys while getting a snack at Toast on 3^rd street. Cool ideas and very friendly staff. The painter they referred did a great job and she was cute and fun to watch too.
