It’s hard to express the excitement I’m feeling about my find at PL Gems. My fiancé and I wanted to design her ring. We were searching for a very specific shade of light pink sapphire, non-heated and GIA certified, that could stand alone in brilliance on rose gold. At first glance, PL Gems had more to offer than any previous store we had visited over the week. The folks behind the counter were busy making bulk sales and did not get to us right away. When they were ready for us, a man named Tee gave his undivided attention, taking the the time to showcase an array of GIA certified, top quality gems, held behind the counter. We narrower our search to 5 gems. At other stores we were lucky to find one suitable stone. I knew out of the five which was the right one, but will admit hesitance, because it was out of my price range. Tee broke us a deal, expressing his happiness in our find for our engagement ring. He also gave us a price match guarantee(before he had offered a deal) and encouraged us to look at other stores. When we brought the gem to Capri Jewelers to order our design, we were elated to see their expression. Capri cautioned us that a light pink sapphire was a rare find and recommended we consider other stones. When they saw what we brought in, they passed it around, looking under various lights to talk about the brilliance and spectrum of colors. We found the perfect stone and will make a one of a kind ring to cherish for life and we couldn’t have done it without PL Gems!

RIPOFFREPORT! — NEVEREVERTRUSTTHESELIARS! I purchased about $ 5,000 worth of gemstones from these people. When I went to a laboratory to get them certified, 80% of them were fake! When I went to get my money back, they laughed at me and then started to bully me to get rid of me. This upset me very much, to say the least. There are other gem dealers out there to use. Protect yourself, and only buy gemstones with laboratory certifications.

Family business that has been around for over 20 years. I was referred by a good friend and decided to check him out. Ask for Kim. He’s very knowledgeable and experience. I bought a set of diamond ears in the past and decided to come back again to shop for an engagement ring. He had a few selections to choose from and I was impressed with the quality of diamonds he had in stock. I really enjoyed my experience with Kim. I will continue to come back and also refer more friends to him.

My fiancée and I found a beautiful untreated royal blue sapphire at PL Gems for our engagement ring. The price was unbelievable and the service was exemplary; they’re not pushy because PL Gems believes in the quality of stones they sell. I’ll be recommending them to everyone in the market for a timeless gem!

If you are looking for certified gemstones and have particular preferences, LOOKNOFURTHER! I found PL Gems from the GIA(Gemological Institute of America) website as a recommended vendor of certified gemstones. My fiancé and I were looking for something very specific for our engagement ring: a lilac or peachy-pink colored sapphire, roughly 7 – 8 mm diameter and round cut. Sophia helped us and presented us with a whopping 8 certified gems that fit our criteria(not to mention many uncertified options as well). After countless hours of self-educating on the internet, I had gleaned that my preferences are uncommon and therefore such gems are infrequently come by. I was impressed with PL Gems on-hand options, but we wanted to perform due diligence and see what else other vendors had in stock. On our hunt, vendor after vendor(and we visited most if not every single gemstone vendor in the district) laughed and shook their heads, responding, «No; we don’t have anything like that,» to our inquiry. Ultimately, we realized that we were searching for a «unicorn.» In retrospect it was a huge boon to find PL Gems! After this first stop we needn’t have looked any further. Needless to say, we walked away the very happy owners of a GIA certified untreated(unheated) lilac Ceylon sapphire! On top of finding exactly what we were looking for, we paid about half the price per carat I had seen quoted on sites like Natural Sapphire Company. The jeweler/gemologist we are working with to design a ring was very impressed with our purchase. We are so thrilled!

I purchased from them about 4 years ago. I remember them being helpful and friendly. Recently, I went back to them because I had a question about the gem I purchased all that time ago and they were still very helpful, honest and friendly. The best thing I can say is that I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again if/when I need to purchase another gem. Very well run business!

Absolutely amazing service and selection. I came to the area looking for a very particular shade Sapphire, and spent several hours looking through all the stalls to find that very few seemed to carry anything close. I finally asked some of the retail jewelers across the street, who pointed me to PL. They not only had what I was looking for, but had about a dozen stones to choose from. Even more amazing, each of those stones came with a GIA certification that demonstrated they were not heat-treated, something very few other wholesalers were able to offer. I’ve since taken the stone to several other jewelers who all agree it was a beautiful stone at a great price. If you’re looking for a unique gemstone at about a third the retail price, this is by far the best source I found in the area after about 4 – 5 hours of searching. And their honesty was vouched for by retailers across the street.
