This is now my go to Italian restaurant in West LA. I had the lobster ravioli which is as delicious as you imagine it to be. The restaurant has an authentic Italian restaurant ambiance and I enjoy taking friends here. I definitely recommend the tiramisu! I am pretty picky with tiramisu and this ranks high up there for me(in comparison to Bottega Louie and Boston’s North End tiramisu).

Great Italian in Brentwood. Too bad there is not enough space. The food is delicious and the owners are super nice.

We were hoping this would be our go to awesome Italian spot. It was overalls pretty good. It just… Fell short. We got there at 6:30 pm on a Saturday. They take reservations so some tables were blocked off. We sat upstairs where it felt sort of like a whatever family restaurant not hip or cozy or anything really. Our waiter was really nice but service was slow especially since there were three open tables. The food was pretty good but nothing to knock your socks off. Got half bottle of wine, two pastas(lobster ravioli better than the spaghetti) and a Cesar. If this wasn’t walking distance from our house I would say it’s fine but not worth the trip.

My mom and I went here as a last minute, needing to find somewhere good but not super expensive. It ended up being one of the best restaurants we’ve ever been too!!! We had the whitefish and the lemon chicken. Both were excellent! I highly recommend this place. Maybe not for large parties since it’s very small.

4.5 I love this place. Make a ressie. It’s a small place that has fresh and authentic fish, chicken and a wide variety of pastas. Everything that comes out of the kitchen looks delicious. We’ve come here a few times if we have anything to do in Brentwood. Parking is a challenge, but the waiter told us we can park at the bank. The gnocchi and stuffed pastas are homemade and the sauces are really good. I also absolutely love their bread with the garlic and oil to dip. My husband told me I smelled like garlic this morning. That’s big love.

Honestly, as good as it gets. La is over saturated with half-ass, unauthentic Italian restaurants. But oh no, not Pizzicotto. I’ve never been disappointed. Their bread is warm and flaky; their seafood is cooked to tender perfection; I’ve had some of the best Chianti and red wine in my life at this spot. The service is always warm, friendly and on point. I love love love this restaurant.

I’ve been here multiple times and every time it’s excellent! The only bad thing is parking.

So far, this is the best Italian place I have been to in Brentwood. It definitely beats Toscana and Bar Toscana just down the street. When you are seated they serve this Garlic Olive Oil sauce to dip your bread in it is the best dip I have ever had! I got the RISOTTODITERRA which was really good– I only wish it was served with more mushrooms. They take reservations which is also a bonus! Its a small little cozy space that has some cute decorations.

Craving authentic Italian food in Brentwood? Look no further; this restaurant holds true. I have been here a few times and I never had a dish I didn’t enjoy. Their bolognese sauce is on point, pasta is cooked al dente, pizza is superb, and I hate fish but the salmon with balsamic reduction is something special. Save room for desert– I highly recommend their homemade tiramisu.

This place seems like a cute little Italy. The specials menu is handwritten and cute. The food is kinda expensive and the plating is unimpressive but the food is good. I don’t think it’s worth the price though. I got the Caesar salad and ate some mushroom truffle risotto and seafood risotto. The mushroom was better. Street parking.

What a fantastic adventure! My taste buds explored the menu and I have to share. The oil with the bread is like no other I have ever laid upon my lips. The wine was authentic, as though it came directly from Italy. The white fish is a must! Order it! Trust me!!! The tortellini de zucca was the best pumpkin stuffed pasta I have ever had. The angel hair with pink sauce was perfect to the last bite. The lemon gelato presented in the original lemon it came in was perfectly sour and amazing. The service was spot on, the owner was so special and amazing to us. I can’t wait to come back.

I was excited to try this place, but it ended up being just an average meal. I ordered the mushroom pizza which had a good taste but not enough mushrooms on it — not really worth the price. I have to admit though, one full star goes to that AMAZING garlicy basil olive oil sauce they bring out with bread before the meal. I was drenching my bread in that! Good thing so was the rest of my table because that thing was mainly garlic! Overall, the ambience was nice downstairs but kind of small and tight upstairs. I would have rather sat downstairs. The service was just mediocre as well. The rest of my group didn’t care too much for their food either. If it wasn’t for that amazing sauce I probably would’ve given the place 2 stars.

One of the few great local authentic restaurants in Brentwood and West LA. Nondescript from the outside, but you feel like you’re in Italy when seated under the aging meat. Make sure to make a reservation and ask them to reserve you something downstairs. Only dish that’s disappointing is the Pizza, everything else is killer. Love this place.

If you want to feel like you’ve made a quick weekend getaway to Italy for a meal, this would be a great pick. Friendly servers and great food. Interestingly enough, at the time we went, it seemed to be primarily a senior crowd. They all loved saying hello to our 3 year old, and the other 2 kids that were in there. Made for a very relaxed vibe for our meal. The pasta with the mix of seafood was really really good. Gnocchi was a bit less chewy then I was looking for, but still overall a great meal.

LA doesn’t have a lot of superb italian places, so when you can find one, you remember it. pizzicotto is one of those neighborhood places where the food is very solid and where it is casual as well. it’s located next to the subway and chase ATM across from katsu-ya so it’s in an area with lots of gorgeous people, but the staff is unassuming and welcoming. i had the strottaprezzi which was very good, and the prosciutto/mushroom appetizer. i didn’t have the mushroom, but the prosciutto was insanely good. lots of good stuff on the menu, and it is reasonably priced. i’ll be back.

Decided to make a Unilocal account just to write a review on this awesome place! It is on San Vicente but definitely tucked away– next to Peet’s Coffee. The space is smaller but very charming. Beware of Brentwood parking in that area! I was seated right away after being greeted by all the extremely warming waiters and host. First, started with a glass of Chianti 2013(Toscana) for $ 9. Excellent selection of wines from Italy, California and more. Waiter brought basket of bread with amazing garlic and olive oil dipping sauce. Bread was super fresh and perfect to enjoy with the wine! Next, ordered apps and entrees. I tried a cup of Vegetarian Minestrone soup for $ 6.95. It was good — the broth was very tasty and flavorful. The vegetables were cooked to perfection and not overdone! I had the RAVIOLI D’ARAGOSTA for main dish. If you like ravioli this is definitely the way to go. Great ricotta/lobster ratio. The vodka– tomato-pink sauce wasn’t too rich and very refreshing with the shallots and basil. Finally, all the dishes that walked past to go to other customers looked sensational with reasonable prices. I am Italian and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Italian food.

It’s been a while since the wife and I have dined at Pizzicotto and last night we decided to have an early dinner there with our kids. We called ahead and made a reservation and were accommodated with our request to sit by the window. The service was great although the server forgot my wife’s appetizer which was not a big deal… we were hungry enough that we told him to bring it out after our meals were served. To our surprise though, he said she did not order an appetizer. We actually discussed it while he was taking our order. She asked if I would like to share the mushroom bruschetta appetizer I said yes, she told him and he wrote it down. Rather than say he made a mistake he was insistent that we did not order it… like I said, no big deal but I found it kind of odd he put the blame on us. The ambience in Pizzicotto is great… reminds me of a small trattoria you would find in NYC. The food was as good as I had remembered. I like that they offer half bottles of wine! A bout four different reds and four different whites as well as a big list of full bottles and wines by the glass. The appetizer was fantastic even though it was late… a bruschetta made with sun dried tomato, porcini mushroom, and basil… really good! My wife ordered the gnocchi bolognese which was outstanding! I am eating a bit clean right now so I had the balsamic salmon with veggies. which was good, but certainly not a go to item that you would review at a restaurant with food as good as Pizzicotto. The kids had pizza and pasta which also were good. For dessert my wife had profiteroles which they served with a candle and sang happy birthday. All in all Pizzicotto is a great little gem in the heart of Brentwood.

What a cute place! I stopped in here after walking past it on the street thinking this place looked cozy. I initially thought it was a Christmas decoration store or something. In any case, service was fantastic. I only came for dessert, but the food at the next table looked fantastic. We all shared a chocolate cake, which was delicious! Unfortunately, the place was about to close so I couldn’t order more. However I do want to come back and try their main courses!

I’m so glad the mister and I found this gem! We’re always looking for new restaurants and especially Italian food. So we’re definitely happy we found this one. Well, I actually found it! It’s a warm and cute little restaurant and the owners are Italian, which makes it authentic. We were so welcomed when we entered and it reminded me of the time when I was traveling in Italy. You can smell the fresh bread outside and the warmth of the people. We are really good sharers, so we got the caprese salad and the gnocchi with bolognese. They were the perfect size for the two of us. It made us want more, but it was the perfect serving for two. For some reason, the coke was just the perfect amount of carbonation too. I guess you could say our experience here was amazing.
