This place is EXCELLENT! The pizza here is great(it would be great if it wasn’t Kosher too.) All of the ingredients are fresh and the sauce is delicious. The owner(who others are referring to as «The Old Man») and his wife are Bobov Chasidim who moved to the neighborhood years ago from Boro Park, Brooklyn and run a very heimishe restaurant. The service is excellent and the other items on the menu are just as good as the pizza. The décor is dated, but who cares… I go to a restaurant for the food not the décor. Give Pizza Mayven a try, if you don’t like it then you never need to take any restaurant advice from me ever again ;)

Awesome fries and nacho supreme. We went there on a Saturday night. The place is not on the high end with the furniture but the food is authentic and tasty. We orders large half n half with fries, salad nachos and drinks. Very affordable. The management is funny and have the old time character personality. all 4 of us had the same positive impression. They stayed open for us and accommodated us. We felt very comfortable and will definitely go back. This is not your cookie cuter pizza place. Go there for authenticity and flavor and not the furniture. I will go again.

Called to have pizza delivered. Spoke with somebody extremely rude guy over the phone… It seemed as if this guy was trying to be intentionally rude! At .8 miles away I’m outside their delivery zone anyway. Lame.

I do take out and delivery from this place. Each time I’ve called and gone, they’ve been very nice I don’t have to wait very long for my food. The pizza is also very good!

Excellent, quick. The gentleman working there is very very kind. Keep in mind that they do not serve meat products of any kind. The sauce is tomatoey and great. The cheese is cheesy. crust is a good proportion and not overbearing.

Great pizza! I just wished the operator would get your entire order and a price total before hanging up. I like the way the place looks since way back when. The costumer service is so good that the owners even attempted to help me figure out a chasidic song I was playing on my phone. Unlike other kosher pizza shops he generously gives you crushed red peppers. Great place!!!

After a long flight from New York, my friend took me to this restaurant. While eating the slice of pizza it tasted like I never left home. To say a Los Angeles pizza tastes as good as a New York pizza, that is a huge compliment.

The pizza is the best kosher pizza I’ve ever had.(Full Disclosure: I have never had any non-kosher pizza in L.A.) The guys is old school hilarious grumpy Brooklyn Jew, so you have to be ready for that and not expect a smiling sycophant. I think it adds charm, and it won’t affect your service, but just don’t want you to have any surprises there. Regardless, as everyone else says, the food is knockout – fries, onion rings, calzones, and of course pizza. The extras are exorbitant and I wish they wouldn’t do that, but it’s certainly not enough not to go try the food. If you don’t want extra sauces, you don’t need to buy them. :)

The pizza at Pizza Mayven is delicious. Since I’m a creature of habit, I always get a medium mushroom pizza with vegetable soup. I love this combo! The owners are cool, no nonsense folk who have a great product that you should try. Its kosher, too.

Looking at my credit card statement and the guy charged me 10x as much as what I purchased. Not cool. Food is alright. Update: I won’t hold it against them though.

Great kosher pizza. Try the creamy calzones, especially the mushroom(earthy!) and the veggie.
