The owner of Pizza 7 is the former owner of Pizza 8, also in Hyde Park(which is under new, atrocious ownership). If you want the good ol’ Pizza 8 food, this is the spot you need to patronize. Nelson is the owner. He has the same staff. Prices have increased slightly on some menu items, but nothing drastic.

Not the best place to come if you are in the mood for a Philly cheese steak sandwhich. I didn’t even go for the sdandwhich. I saw that they sold an entire pizza for about 5 dollars, and I resorted to that. I ordered upon knowing there was no one in line waiting for anything, so I decided to order the pizza. First of all, the wait is RIDICULOUS. I think I waited 45 minutes for a large generic pepperoni pizza. I could have just took the bus back and forth twice to Little Cesaers and it still would have came about a better result. For last resort, I was hoping the pizza would be good. MEDIOCRE at best. Very sloppy, and the oil was literally draining outside my pizza box. The taste: BLAND. I wouldn’t recommend. Next time I’ll just go to Popular Donut(their neighbors).

I’ve tried the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich, fries, and pizza. The sandwich was very satisfying. The bread was fresh; the meat was plentiful; the cheese was delicious. The fries were very good too. They were seasoned perfectly. Last but not least, the pizza had really good flavor, and it was about the size of a large pizza. The only problem I had was that it was too crispy. Next time when I order the pizza, I will ask for less crispy. I would give this place five stars, but there is a smoke shop attached which attracts a lot of people who«hang out» in front of the establishment. Other than that everything is fine! :-)

Don’t let their taped on banner on the side of their building fool you, these delightfully cheesy steak sandwiches are the real deal for a satisfying meal. Crispy fresh oven baked bread, a nice portion of steak & the gooey white cheese. A good size sandwich and the price is fair. I haven’t tried their spaghetti yet but their pizzas sound interesting. It’s minutes from View Park and seconds from Crenshaw & Slauson. Support your local newbies & give them a try — you definitely won’t be disappointed!
