From the Dr. Phil website: «Dr. Phil generally tapes two shows a day on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Arrival times are between 8:00 — 8:15 a.m. Audience members will enjoy back-​to-​back shows and be out at approximately 1:00 p.m.»

Dr. Phil tapes before a studio audience at Stage 29 (the „Studio“) at Paramount Pictures Studios in Hollywood, California („Paramount Lot“). The entrance to Stage 29 is at 860 North Gower Street, Hollywood, CA 90 038, between Melrose Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard. The entrance is identifiable by a giant painting of a blue whale above the Dr. Phil marquee.»
There is an age limit: You must be at least 18 years old to attend a taping. But if the topic permits, you can be 16 or 17 years old, provided you attend the taping with your parent or legal guardian. Why am I gung ho on Dr. Phil? He is getting a lot of flak from haters who are upset that he is helping out Rebecca Zahau’s family and airing a 2-​part series on the second autopsy he helped sponsor with a donation to her family’s foundation. These two shows will run during November 2011 sweeps week and many feel that Dr. Phil is just putting on a ratings stunt and using the Zahau tragedy as fodder.
I happen to disagree and I was surprised to hear that Rebecca Zahau’s family twice openly appealed to the TV shrink to help them. Undoubtedly many people will watch this show since it is such a mysterious and sensational case. Dr. Phil is no shrinking violet and he has proved controversial in the past by grabbing interviews with Casey Anthony’s family and trying for Britney Spears family when the singer was going through her «crazy period.»
If Dr. Phil pulls off this coupe by bringing new information to light about the death of Rebecca Zahau and it gets the shoddy initial investigation by the San Diego Sheriff’s Dept. reopened, then I will surely bump this 4 Star Unilocal up to 5 Stars! Dr, Phil may sometimes appear sleazy and no better than a ratings whore but I don’t plan to hold that against him if he can help get justice for Rebecca and her family!
