this is located in the basement level of a large building on the corner of Serrano and Wilshire. look carefully and you’ll see a large banner pointing you in the right direction. parking garage is only $ 2 with validation. we had a large party of 30 and we had made reservations for one of their bigger rooms. when we got there, they had made a mistake and stuffed us in one of their regular rooms. it was a super tight fit and kinda inconvenient. they made up for it with some free bottles of wine and comped some of the food. the food was pretty good but mostly consists of korean bar food — lots of fried things. service was meh. they were very slow to remove the empties, dirty plates, empty trays, and replace the ice and mixers(juice, etc). the karaōke itself was good and easy to use. if we had a party of 6 – 8, then this smaller room would’ve been fine but it was pretty awful with our large party. the rest of the place was very clean, well kept, with nice bathrooms.

Came here for friend’s birthday and had the best time here. As soon as you walk in youre greeted by the front desk and the manager is very friendly and helpful. The room was more than spacious and the lighting and everything inside was classy. The sound system was awesome and song selections were excellent. I asked the waiter and I was told the system is updated every month. I ordered 5 dishes and the food was so bomb. It was restaurant quality for sure. They have a bell on the door to call for the waiters and all of them were extremely fast at answering our calls and super helpful. They would occasionally switch the melted ice for new ones and I just felt like I was well taken care of here. Must go place for a fun filled night in LA!

Our close friends came here on a wild night so We tagged along. Turns out to be top 2 karaōke bars we have been too. All you can eat and drink with a minimum of $ 300 spent between 12 people. Food and drinks were good, but the selection of music was endless. I really recommend this place to anyone looking to have fun.

This lounge is clean, classy, spacious, and the service is efficient. My group of 10 is here for New Years Eve and we are seriously having the best time! It’s like we are our own DJs and Emcees! The food and drink comes almost instantly so it feels like I just wished it to life! Thanks Pharoah!

We made a reservation for about 10 people here. They told us that there was a minimum of $ 200 with a $ 50 deposit. Basically, that meant we had to get $ 200 worth of alcohol and food in order to reserve the room. At $ 25 a person, we didn’t think this was that bad at all. Note that the $ 200 did not include tax and tip. I think we got a medium-sized room and it was plenty big for all of us with more than enough room to dance around. Their drink selection is kind of limited here. It’s either higher end hard alcohol or beer. It would have been nice if they served flavored sojus, just because I’m a huge fan of these when going to karaōke. That actually made it a little hard to meet the limit for us because we were already super full from dinner before coming here. We actually didn’t make the limit, but they charged us the $ 200 minimum and gave us some«complimentary shots» to make up the difference. That was nice of them! Their service is also pretty attentive. Their song selection is not bad, although their foreign song selection seems more extensive than the English song selection. They had some of the newer Taylor Swift stuff, but not some of the newest hits like Drake’s Hotline Bling. Too bad, because you know people really want to do the awkward Drake dance with their friends, but behind closed doors. I also liked how the karaōke system graded us on each song after it was over. The actual karaōke rooms are really nice and spacious and clean. We had two big TV screens on either side and tons of room to move around. These are probably some of the nicer karaōke rooms I’ve been in. It was actually pretty empty when we came here, which was surprising to me because I expected it to be more crowded given how nice the rooms are.

Came here for my friends birthday. We had a late group of people so we were on the bigger room. Staff was really nice and atmosphere was great. Would definitely come back here again!

I had the best 28th party here ever! I got the large room with the $ 300 dollar package with the bottle, beers, and five plates of food. The service was incredible. The servers were there for everything we needed. The song selection was great. The remote was in Korean but super easy to use. I would definitely recommend this place to people for their birthday! They even brought out a wheel of fortune which gave you free bottles to coupons and food. And I got a $ 25 dollar free coupon! Best time ever.

Having such a great time here. We have a room for 25 and it is really roomy and festive. So many songs! Loving the Spanish options! Great for a birthday party! They also are very accommodating!

I do not recommend patronizing this business EVER. I had a reservation for a group of 30 that I made 3 weeks in advance. We arrived and while checking in, the employee stated that we all needed to show IDs and everyone in the group had to be over 21. I stated that not everyone is 21 and that we weren’t going to drink anyway because it was a work event. I Asked why I was never told about this policy when I booked the reservation and he said that they always tell everyone at the time of booking. That is 100% false! I would have never had my huge group drive 45 mins in 6 cars from the other side of town in rush hour if I were told in advance. Worse was his terrible attitude and over confidence in his staff informing«everyone» about their age policy. I will NEVER, EVER return!

Ive never been to a karaōke type place before. If they are like this place I need to go to them more often. Came here on a Sunday night with my family to drink and sing. It was an amazing time! The machines are fairly up to date on song selections. Cant wait to come here again!

Came here last Saturday for my birthday and it was an absolute blast! I made a reservation for 10 about a week in advance and ended up changing it to 15 people the day before when they called to confirm. We had the large room which was 40 $ an hour and at hour 3 we were toast lol. Everyone of my friends was extremely pleased with the experience and the staff was incredibly helpful. The song selection could be better but there is definitely enough material to keep you happy for a LONG time. Will definitely be back ;)

Great environment. Great drink selection. Very professional staff and great ambience. Just what you are looking for when going karaōke-ing :) But rather expensive…

Let’s face it. I’m a karaōke fiend, which makes me a karaōke snob. I was super excited to see the big banner outside the building announcing the grand opening of Pharaoh. A colleague said that she and her non Korean friend had a really great time there. So when the opportunity arose, my friends and I made plans to go and called to make a reservation. When we arrived at 10:20pm, we found the main entrance to the building locked. No signs or anything to tell us what to do. You need to walk around to the back of the building in order to get inside the building to take the elevator down to B2. As we got off the elevator, we guessed that Pharaoh was where the club-like music and green disco lights came from. That was pretty awesome. The venue has multiple rooms and a nice«reservation only» bar hidden behind room dividers. The hostess was nice, although she couldn’t understand that we just needed to know where room 10 was(our other friends had already arrived). Great lighting system, nice couches, a pretty good spread of fruit and of course bottles of champagne and whiskey. We got a room big enough for ten people, and it had two decent sized monitors. We even got a free scotch tasting from their non Korean female employees. The karaōke system was pretty good, although it seemed to insert songs randomly even when you push«reserve» to add songs to the queue. They only gave us one book, so we had to ask for another. We got two books for 10 people… Should provide more. Sound system was also pretty good. The volume of the music and the mics were perfect. Mics were wireless and had shower caps on. Yay! The service wasn’t bad. Attendees would poke their heads in every once in a while asking if we needed anything. So why only three stars? 1. While they seemed to have an extensive Korean song list, the English selection was limited. No new songs from the past year like Max Studio in Sawtelle Japantown. There was no indication either of any other languages like Chinese. Song selection is my number one criteria for a good karaōke joint.(#2 is sound quality which they’re pretty good at) 2. Smoky!!! Figures that at a Korean joint there would be jerks who insist on smoking at an indoor venue in California… 3. For a place that’s so new and has so many employees around, the bathroom was as dirty as ones you’d find at the club. I guess that happens when your patrons are all a bunch of drunks. Lol So if you’ve got some extra dough and are looking for a good place to get drunk and sing along to some music, then this is your spot. But if you are a real karaōke connoisseur who prefers non Korean songs, then you might want to keep looking. Until they add way more English songs, I’d still prefer Max Studio despite not having the best of systems. And how can you beat $ 4⁄5 happy hours?

I kind of loved the experience. We went around 8pm on a Saturday night and it was empty. I guess cool people karaōke later at night. In any case, you go down some stairs, and there you are — transported to an alternate reality of flashing neon lights and about 5 greeters. They escort you to your large and brand new rooms. I was impressed by the room. New seats and two flat screens per room. You can order food and drinks. It’s a little pricy for the food, but you’re paying for the service. So what would make the experience better is if we were Korean, because we had so many issues trying to operate the remote control, which was in Korean. We had to have the guy show us exactly how to use it. The booklets for song selection(only by song title, not artist) was basically unusable to us. In addition, they didn’t have some of the newer songs. I would say, this place has great amenities and sound system, but lacks a bit in terms of new English song selection and not super English-user friendly. It was $ 10/person per hour, which is not bad.

I spent a good amount of time combing through Unilocal to pick the best Karaōke joint with private rooms to celebrate my 25th birthday, and I have to say I am glad I went with Pharoah. There were no reviews that hinted to illegal activities or racist incidents, so that was already a good sign. I made reservations for the«large» room(about 15 people) on a Saturday night and sure enough, we had our room ready to go. Just to give you an idea of pricing, it was $ 40/hour for a large room rental(but boy does that alcohol rack up the bill, lol!) SERVICE: My phone call to make the reservation was simple, the guy on the other line was happy to help and got all the necessary info. They even called me 5 minutes before my reservation time to make sure we were coming. After we showed the bouncer our ID’s, the hostess happily showed us to our room. So far, so good! They even gave us a pizza, on the house! ROOM: The room was almost luxurious, definitely gave off the Vegas feelz. Two very clear screens, no weirdly inappropriate background video, awesome sound system, and 2 wireless mics with mic covers(how sanitary!), one large table, big comfy seats, and an area in the front where you can drunkenly dance. Check, check, check, check! Only downside were the floors were sticky, but I was too inebriated to care. At least you won’t slip while dancing. SONGSELECTION: Previous Unilocalers complained that song selection lacked in some areas, but we found their selection to be plentiful! They pointed us exactly to where the English songs were, and they even pointed us to the newest additions, which included new hits like Uptown Funk. To be honest, there are enough songs to keep you busy for hours… ALCOHOL: NOBYOB. They serve beer and well drinks, and bottle service if you want. They really keep it coming, there was never one point where we were waiting for someone to take more orders. In fact, there was always an available beer in front of us. So our tab kept climbing… BATHROOM: CLEAN! And never a line. So happy. Overall, this is a great spot for Karaōke shenanigans. They do the noraegang so well that your wallet will hurt, but hurt so good. On a final note, they put everything from room rental and alcohol on one tab, so make sure you pay back your homie for your beers!

Had a birthday party here and the staff is top-notch! Our group was diverse, a mix of white, black, Hispanic and Asian(non-Korean) and we were treated like VIP the whole way through. Service was fast, honest and on-point. The rooms are pristine and beautiful. And the sound system is amazing! We’re SO happy to have found Pharaoh. The other K-town karaōke places we’ve visited seem to be staffed with clueless mini-skirted part-timers who can’t keep track of reservations, or shady tobacco-smelly managers who double the price for non-Koreans. But Pharaoh is on the up & up. Kudos to manager Mike for running a tight ship, AK for being on-the-ball with our reservation as well as thorough explaining the menu and party package options, and Jude, I don’t know what his title was, but we called him«our guy». We got the«big» room which was AWESOME. The room had rainbow disco lights, a small stage that was lit from below with a multi-colored floor, three huge TV monitors so everyone could sing along, WIRELESSMICS(a huge +!), big comfy booths with lots of room for our guests, and just enough space in the middle for an impromptu dance floor. It was like being in your own private karaōke club! No fancy cocktails here; just well-drinks, beer or bottle service. But we came for the karaōke, and the bar service was super fast so we didn’t care. There was plenty of Jameson, Jack, and Grey Goose flowing to keep us going. Really a great place to plan a party or just spontaneously go with a group of friends. All our guests were really impressed and almost all expressed that they couldn’t wait to come back. Thank you, Pharaoh for an unforgettable birthday night!

Great Karaōke Lounge with cheap drinks and karaōke specials! They give you fruit platters too. Song selection is alright. Not enough Chinese songs to choose from. I mean, they’re a new lounge, so they can definitely improve. Bad thing is that they close at 2AM, where a lot of other karaōke places in K-Town close at 4AM. Sucks!

It opened in 2004, but Pharaoh Karaōke Lounge recently remodeled making it one of the newest karaōke rooms in K-town. It’s located on the basement floor of the building, which allows all the noise to be filtered, unknown to the pedestrians at the Starbucks on the ground floor above. You’re gonna experience bright lights and loud music, with partygoers having a great time in their own little ways. I have to say that the sound system in each of the 18 private noraebangs is quite good. They upgraded the rooms, built a lounge area with flat screen TV’s, and sectioned off two bars for bottle service. The female bartenders will pour you drinks, smile, and laugh at your corny jokes. Scantily dressed as though they’re about to hit the club, it attracts the unsuspecting customer to drink more and frequent the place again. The story goes that Pharaoh Karaōke Lounge is now operated by the owners of Palm Tree LA. Meaning, they got the ends to spice up the place, making it more attractive than before. The largest room seats 50 heads and I’m thinking about recommending it to others for a shindig or birthday party. I actually thought the service was good. The staff is trying hard to accommodate the clientele and I’m actually surprised that it has gotten much better. The prices are still a bit over the top, but places like this doesn’t lure the cheap and thrifty, so be forewarned. I recommend speaking to the GM — Tiffany Chung, for any issues or reservations. I’ve known her for some time and she’s as good as you can get. Here’s the website, cause I’m even surprised that they made one.( ) TIP — Happy Hour from 5pm to 8pm daily, with half priced drinks. Large bottle of Johnny Walker Black is $ 99 before 9pm.

The welcome started at the front. As soon as we told them who we were(made reservation beforehand) our server courteously showed us to our room. The sound system was out of this world. The grading system after we sang was loud and very harmonious and made us feel like the really singers. Roast Pyun-Chae we’ve ordered was very delicious as well as the fresh fruit. They continuously re-filled our ice bucket and juices for our Grey Goose Special. We’ve had an excellent 2 ½ hours of singing along with good drinks~ We will definitely come back!

I stopped by this Karaōke after a long day and I have to say, I had the best time of my life~~~!!! I loved their interior and sound system, not to mention their yummy foods. The price is on par with other karaōke in K-town. I am definitely coming back~~!!
