Yes, the Sunset Blvd location has closed but the location on Rampart and 6th is alive and well and yummy as ever. Just remember to ask for the fish to be cooked medium because otherwise it’ll be dry and you’ll be wondering why I gave it 5 stars.

I am saddened to hear about P.M. closing. No Señor Fish can ever replace how good this place was. Hopefully, the Rampart location will stick around for a while.

Great fresh food, but the location on Sunset is closed. For renovation I can only hope.

I was one of the first customers when this place opened in the mid 80’s, I know the family that owns the place, or at least back then they did. The food was better a while back, somewhere along the line the portions got smaller and prices went up. I will only go there if I’m tired of everything else, usually order the fish alambre double plate, or chicken/fish, chicken sometimes tastes bad, fish is not consistent in taste either. It’s a hit or miss kinda place. Used to be a lot better.

Just down the street from The Echo, we slipped into this place before Trotsky Icepick hit the stage. I got the spicy shrimp plate and let me tell you, that was some spicy shrimp. Some people might think it was too spicy, but it was just on the good side of pain for me. The rice and beans were fine, though the tortillas were hidden under my plate and I didn’t see them until I was done. My wife had a quesadilla and she was completely satisfied. We had some leftovers, and the friendly employees helped her box the goodies up.

Amazing food. Amazingly fresh and flavorful, and so easy to order healthily. The price is right. We do take out from here at least once a week these days. Two orders of double skewer grilled fish or shrimps for less than $ 22. The fish soup is stellar, healthy with lots of fish and a delicious broth. And I do not know what they do to the rice but it’s like crack. Give this a whirl next time you don’t feel like cooking/grilling. You cannot go wrong.

Delicious!!! The foods great, the condiment bar is superb, the beer is cold, AND they’ve got a jukebox!!! I usually get the chicken, and it’s fantastic. I love they’re style of cooking the meat, on a conveyor belt under broiler lamps, it burns the tips of the green peppers and chicken but it adds to the taste. Simply delicious all ways ’round. My friends get the seafood and they say it’s scrumptious every time.

Wow… a small chain that delivers great food. A friend of mine turned me on tho this spot. I am glad he did. They have a daily five dollar special. Your choice of fish, chicken, beef brochette or whole fried Tilapia. You get that along with rice beans and salad. It’s a spot you gotta try…

As usual our office orders out on Friday and this was the lucky place. I ordered the shrimp taco plate with an extra taco. The plate included rice and beans… the tacos were very good well seasoned. I will make a return visit. I want to try the shrimp burrito next.

if you have lived or hung around Echo park for a while you have to know this place! Food is good but I do not go there anymore! It’s ridicoulous how they have doubles there prices but yet shortened there portions. IFYOUAREGOINGTORAISEYOURPRICES. DONOTBEGREEDY. GIVEYOURCUSTOMERSOMETHINGINRETURN.(I.E. include a drink perhaps)?

One of my FAVORITE places for ceviche in LA… I would eat here at least once a week if I could. Who knew that a place where you walk up to the counter to order could have such good, fresh seafood, ceviche, quesidillas, and soup? I love this place. The ser vers are helpful and gracious hosts, the food is delicious, and it’s so reasonably priced. I wish their hours were extended. I have often gone to Rodeo or the taco truck down the street as a poor second place substitute because Pescado is closed. I recommend the chick or steak combo as well. It’s tender, juicy and flavorful. Another bonus… No on ever pressures you to leave too soon. I have had quite a few one-on-one meals here that have covered subjects of love, sex, romance, finance, work, and have often hoped the staff either can’t hear or understand me. Oops! Sorry guys. They also cater and will deliver to your office. This is great for worktime conferences, and it’s a big hit with the co-workers.

Pescado Mojado is to most Echo park curians a simple taco/burrito joint. However rule of thumb suggests that if the name of the restaurant translates to «wet fish», one would order something with fish in it. The fish & shrimp soups are amazing in any manifestation. Fish plates are probably the most bang for the buck here. All dishes are served with prepped fresh vegetables, rice, and beans. The skewered fish plate is amazing. Perfectly dyed yellow rice, well cooked pinto beans, and buckets of fresh salsa & pico are on hand to smooth out any inconsistencies in the meal. The wait is never long for the food. The kitchen is exposed here through windows. Interesting to watch the ninja-like line cooks making chips and slicing avocado. Even with drinks, dinner for two here is under $ 20. Tip your pseudo waitress. Don’t ever enter the bathroom. I’ve heard some of the other locations don’t match the standards of this particular P.M. Street parking Cheap eats

I was driving home tonight when my roommate laughed and pointed at Pescado Mojado saying it looked like a terrible place to eat. Until then I had forgotten that I went to Pescado on Max M.‘s review before I moved to Echo Park because I wanted some good Mexican while at a concert at the Echo Plex. I didn’t finish my fish taco, I spit it out. At the time I wasn’t aware that it was in fact Gollum that started the Pescado Mojado chain to serve the rotten fish-eating Hobbit minority in Los Angeles. You think I’m joking, but all of its waxy-skinned workers and patrons scamper about on their clammy hands. Their three wiry hairs flying about as their heads bobble on emaciated shoulders threaten falling into and poisoning your food. Their lives are extended far beyond their natural limits by the effects not of possessing the One Ring, but of eating rotten fish. Maybe Max«Beef» M. grew up in Alabama or South Carolina and isn’t sure what good Mexican food tastes like. Or maybe it’s that Max likes to eat fish scales. I don’t know. For us non-cave-dwellers, there’s El Compadre just a few blocks east on Sunset which is leagues beyond, fathoms above the swill dished up here.

Quite possibly the worst ceviche ever. Pescado Enojado. Fish tacos were so-so. I expect more from Mexi-seafood spots. I do dig the cartoon fish mascot. Hi, I’m ten.

Don’t let he McDonald’s looks deceive you. Though all Pescado Mojado restaurants look like crappy fluorescent it fast food joints, this is actually some of the best Mexican seafood in town. Tacos, burritos, and your normal selection of dishes are made with incredibly fresh fish and crustaceans.(Though, if you’re into eating the cockroaches of the sea, that’s your thing. I’d hesitate to call any bottom feeder«fresh».) I don’t normally enjoy fish as a staple part of my diet, but I sincerely dig the fish tacos here.
