I went there on Christmas Eve and there was free coffee and tea all day, what a surprise bc I usually go to coffee bean.

I’m taking off one star because they switched over to Mighty Leaf teabags instead of loose teas when you order a cup. And because they don’t have coconut milk. Soy milk or almond milk is awful. I will actually go to Starbucks if I want a dairy-free cappuccino because they have coconut milk and they will froth that sucker up for you. But other than that, I love Peet’s and this one is quite nice. It’s got a huge window facing west so it’s flooded with sunlight in the afternoon. They play soothing classical music that isn’t distracting when you’re trying to work. And another thumbs-up for not playing annoying Christmas music when I was there in early December. Wish it were open late.

This is my go-to Peet’s from now on. They have a free parking lot, albeit packed but just need to be patient especially at busy times. Super friendly customer see service. Bryan was the best, not just giving me time to be undecided about what I wanted to order for hubby and my drinks to go – but also making sure our lattes are made exactly the way we wanted! He even personally walked over to the station to double check the orders went thru correctly. That alone deserves all 5-stars! Spacious and clean area with a few tables, all occupied though. Wish there were a few lounge sofas to enjoy a few sips of my perfect latte. Maybe next time, I’ll be lucky to grab a table.

Just about as good as it can get. Only topped by those dimly lit places which have loungey couches and make you want to forget the world while ignoring everyone on earth. This Peets is great for getting work done though, and better coffee/tea than Starbucks.

I’ve never had a great experience at this location. I’ve been here before when I had to listen to an employee cuss to her friend on the telephone at full volume for the entire time I was there. Tonight was even worse. I walked in, and all the employees were talking to each other and ignoring me. When one finally saw me, he said«well, let’s get this over with,» and quietly to his coworkers said, «this is a disruption of our work flow.» I was mad. How rude!!! So, I quickly ordered my drink and sat down. Since my back was facing the bar where they pass off the drinks, I thought they would call my drink out when it was ready. Nope. I was sitting there for about 10 minutes before I turned around to see that my drink was done. I went up to ask if this was the latte I ordered and the same guy who snubbed me earlier said, «uh…yeah.» Needless to say, I was less than satisfied with my experience. I would give them 1 star, but the coffee was decent. If you’re willing to experience some TERRIBLE customer service, then this is your place! Other than that, I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

My go to study spot! This place is perfect because it is a little too far for UCLA students to walk to, but a quick 5 min drive from the North Village. There is a parking lot as well that offers free parking. The other reviews probably say it’s normally crowded but I’ve never had trouble getting a spot. The employees are always nice and are pretty knowledgeable about their coffee. It’s not too loud here and the music playing at the moment is classical — not distracting at all. If it’s a busy day you might end up with a bar seat but that’s not even bad. There are outlets close by and plenty of tables. Their iced caramel macchiato is amazing and their Fredo’s are so much better than a Frappuccino.

I drink Peets coffee everyday at home. I was so disappointed today visiting this location. The gal taking my order was curt and unfriendly. How about a «Good morning»? Or a simple smile or thank you? Nope. My coffee low grade and carrot bread was dry, stale and tasted bad. I didn’t want to deal with returning it. So I sit and write this review instead.

This is a good place with annoyances. As mentioned by so many parking is really a pia. And some of the patrons are a pia too! The baristas automatically slammed my drink into a paper cup though I requested a real cup repeatedly. When I expressed dismay they said“oh, we’ll change it” and poured the drink into a cup and tossed the paper away. Sigh. Some, but not all the reason I want a cup is to minimize waste. Still, their choices at that point were obviously limited. Making a while new coffee would have been dumb too. Surprisingly the transferred drink remained hot and delicious. So… Annoyance all around but no“harm” in the first-world-problem sense. I’d return but just understand this is not a relaxing location!!! The coffee makes up for a lot though. The staff were nice through these errors at least. Could be worse. ;)

This is a great spot to study/kill time. The parking is street parking, so that can take a moment to find, but other than that it’s a great spot! The team at this store is awesome! I go in the morning and the store manager Jenni is there a lot of the time. She’s SO nice and so upbeat. Her and her team are the sole reason I go to this location over any other coffee shop. The drinks are great, and well made. If you don’t like something the team has no issues with fixing it or suggesting something different that you might like instead. The team is always so friendly, and welcoming. You feel like you’re talking with a friend. Also, the line can be out the door and it will move SO fast. They know how to keep things moving quickly without losing quality of service or product, it’s incredible! I wish Peet’s offered more gluten free options, but this shop has a wheat free muffin(which is really good), and these really good gf bars(the good bean bar). I love this shop and highly recommend it whether you’re getting something to go, or wanting to hang out. It’s a great atmosphere, great people, VERY clean shop, and great coffee.

My experience here is just a complete annoyance starting with limited parking, tight ass spaces, and one way direction. This alone should drive someone psycho. I squeezed my little tiny ass car into a small ass space finally to proceed to listening to a guard yelling at other patrons parking. What a mess. After I completed my order to a hippie barista, she was confused when I presented my Unilocal discount to be utilized. She said she’s never seen it before but agreed to use it while in a deep confusion faze. You can’t go wrong with any products sold here but the experience will suck. There is limited seating since most spaces are taken or there’s always a transient will 100000 books taking up space.

I was at this location recently while waiting for my car to be serviced. I’ve been to this store quite a few times. I don’t drink coffee, so I asked for their type of a drink that is similar to Starbucks’s vanilla bean fraupuccino. The gal that took my order was okay. The other gal that did the drink was very friendly & pleasant. She put together a pretty good drink. I was a little surprised by the cost being more then Starbucks, but I didn’t make a big deal out of it. I sat there for awhile & did some people watching. All in all not a bad experience, just not too thrilled about the cost of the non-coffee drink.

Two stars for the half effort staff. They are slow, fake, inattentive, and confusing. Some are okay but most seem bored and careless. Four stars for the coffee. It’s amazing. If you can get in and out in less than 7 minutes it would be even better. Please shape up. I don’t want to write bad reviews.

I’ve been regularly coming to this Peet’s for a year. I definitely miss the Peet’s branches in the Bay Area(used to live 1 block from the original Peet’s in North Berkeley!), but at least there’s an option for decent coffee here in West LA, land of Starbucks and Coffee Beans… The staff have been very friendly and helpful. I’d say the drinks I’ve gotten have been consistently solid, but I tend to stick to the drip coffee, switching between the medium roast(Domingo) and dark roast(Major D’s). They’ve started selling a cold brew to compete with the third-wave hipster coffee shops around – thought it was pretty good! Perfect for summer in LA. The one downside I wish this Peet’s would address is the seating. There must be some way to rearrange the seats so they aren’t so crowded together. The bench seating facing the windows rarely has much space, because the tables behind it creep closer and closer. It’s very claustrophobic during busy hours.

I’ve often walked here from home just to get the coffee. Its small, and not like your average«chain coffee shop“but then again they actually care about the customer here. The coffee is amazing and i’ve bought coffee beans a few times and they always know what to recommend and grind them to your specification. If thats not enough, they also tell you whats best for your espresso machine.

Every time I come to LA I find myself stopping by the Peet’s location to grab a coffee and do some studying. They have plenty of space and the turnaround is pretty fast so you are likely to find a table at any time(just depends on how big a table you need). The staff here are always nice and keep the place pretty clean. Keep up the good work

I like the feel of Peet’s, but the coffee is just way too bitter. If you could combine mega chains, I’d put Starbucks coffee in Peet’s grinders.(I don’t Love Starbucks, but I can drink their espresso drinks no problem.) They do have a great selection of coffee paraphernalia at decent prices, so I got my last moka pot there. But I can’t stomach the main product. Literally.

My review is biased because I am a big fan of Peets Coffee to begin with. The baristas are friendly and knowledgeable and their coffee is so good! What I really love is, if you buy a pound of coffee, you get a free cup of coffee or you get a $ 1.80 off their other drinks. IMO this Peets is the best of the three near my parent’s house. The Brentwood one has a terrible parking situation and the Westwood one closer to UCLA is always really busy.
