Payless Shoe Source

I don’t come here much, but when I do I really need something. The worst part is that I really need it because I look for it last minute.
First time I came here was to look for my work shoes. I had to go back to work and they require those black non-​slip shoes.
I remember I bought a pair at a Payless for about $ 30 and they were really comfortable. I was excited because I found the same ones here, but they were $ 50.
What a bummer. I thought that was too expensive and I asked the cashier if they had cheaper work shoes. She showed me around and they were all about $ 40-​$ 50.
I was doubtful and she looked a little annoyed at me. She left me alone and said well let me know if you make up your mind. She came back and told me that they sell good work shoes at great prices and I will not find them cheaper elsewhere.
I didn’t want to spend too much because I don’t love them I just needed them for work. She convinced me that they had the best prices and I bought a pair.
I went next door to Factory 2 U and guess what? I found a pair of nice non-​slip work shoes for only $ 20. I tried them on and they fit perfectly.
I went back to Payless and I returned the shoes immediately. The cashier asked me what was wrong. I told her I found work shoes next door for $ 20.
She made this face and said well they probably won’t last as long. I remember the pair I had bought at Payless the first time I was working lasted me about 6 months. It has been a year since I bought the ones at factory 2 U and they are still in excellent condition.
Same story with a pair of sunglasses. I was heading to the beach and I saw a few here for $ 10. I ended up not buying them because my husband said he would buy me some at the beach. Good thing I waited because he bought me 3 cute pairs for $ 10 at Venice beach.
I don’t hate this store. I just think it is a little pricey for a «Payless». I actually thought you paid-​less.

Went there yesterday to buy some shoes that I needed for my new job. Was not really sure what I wanted but got excellent help from an employee Antonio. Excellent service. He helped me find the right shoes. I will definitely be back once payday comes around.
