Love pat and oscar’s! You walk in and you’re instantly given a breadstick of awesome! This particular location though seems to have problem with service though because my party ordered a pizza and some breadsticks. Unfortunately the best part, the breadsticks, didn’t come get to our table until 40 Mins later. They gave us a free meal card for a future visit for the trouble but looking around there was a lot of people without their orders and looking pretty angry. Long story short free meal cards all around. I think they might of just had an off day but the service was pretty bad.

If you have ever had the ribs and chicken here and thought it was good then clearly you haven’t had good ribs and chicken. I am not a picky eater but stay away from these items. Stick with pizza, pasta, and breadsticks.

I was given a $ 25 gift card to this restaurant. At first I thought the person who gave it to me was ridiculous. I hate gift cards. I went online to search for a nearby Pat and Oscars. I had never heard of this place before. I came across the location near Los Feliz. I took only one bite out of the breadstick. It’s probably one of the worst stuff to eat. So greasy. A million calories. Tasty. Puffy. It’s everything I hate about eating heavy carbs. I ordered a half lemon chicken and my wife had the small chicken caesar salad. Both were great. But if I didn’t have a gift card, I’ll never walk in to this place. Unfortunately, I still have 9 bucks left on the gift card. It’s official, I have lost the gift card with the remaining $ 9 on it. I am happy, I never have to go back.

Derek and I have one major thing in Common… We loves ‘em Bread Sticks! How can u bash the pasta or sandwiches here when they greet u with 8-inches of tasty, lightly oiled, dough of LOVE??? Now I totally understand about the food. kinda bland but seriously… u can make it better. I roll into this spot at lunchtime and its about 10 to 15 wait tops. Recently rolled into P&O’s while returning from Best Buy. I tried the Chicken Carbanara Pasta with Tortilla soup and of course BREADSTICKS! I was stuffed and satisfied beyond my belt line. The food coma lasted for hours… im feeling better now… since u asked. yes.i will be back. I must confess… i have done this several times… Please forgive me… I have walked in and waiting in line, just to get a bread stick. I know. I know… that’s tacky but sometimes u just wanna get it on like Donkey Kong! Dont hate the Playa… Hate the Game! Keep on Unilocaling!

Gross. Fatty. Tasteless. That pretty much sums it up. My friend recommended this place and I’d never been before so I agreed to try it out. Let’s just say that was definitely the first and last time I’ll be at Pat & Oscars. I got a gyro with a greek side salad. If a salad could be frozen, that’s how it would taste. And i guess it was my bad for ordering a gyro at a clearly middle-america fried food type of place but it sucked pretty badly. no flavor at all. Now if I hadn’t come home and looked up the nutritional value on this stuff, I would have just said it was bland food. But no. I don’t know how on earth you can manage to shove so many calories into a plate of food but still have it taste horrible. You would think that fat-pumped crap would at least taste good. but nooo. So that was the kicker on Pat & Oscars. Gross food, a gazillion calories. And the famous breadsticks taste like buttered dough. I don’t know what all the hype is about.

This place use to get 4 stars but now it barley gets 1. I ordered a breakfast burrito and they had no tortilla. They were kind enough to go next door to Baja Fresh to get one but that’s beyond the point. I ordered waffles and it came with no strawberries, powered sugar or whip cream(It use to come with all that). The French Toast came without the frosting dip.(use to come with that as well). The bacon wasn’t cooked and looked pale and white. Never again will I go back!

Came here for dinner before a bar crawl in Atwater village. I felt the dread of this chain wrapping its claws around my neck. I ignored the feeling of impending doom and put on a smile, because that’s what I do best. Filled with reluctance, I ordered a pastrami sandwich with potato wedges thinking there was no way they could mess that up. What I was in for was the most gripping, white knuckling ride I’ve ever experienced on a white porcelain bowl. While my order did not take long, 3 members of the party waited more than 30 minutes for their order. Apparently they had been lost in translation, causing me to get up twice to find out what the hold up was. I was met with half-heartened apologies and looks of disinterest. The rest of the group was done eating by the time their food came out. The food was of no interest to me. A dirty piece of cardboard covered in spaghetti sauce would have been more tasty than my meal. Thank goodness I was starving or else I wouldn’t have even touched it. I would never come here again. Awww they dun made me break out my Kelly Clarkson. Never again will I fall for you Never again will I miss you Never again will I eat you Never! Never again will I come to you Never again will I pay for you Never again will I eat you Never ps. btw if a restaurants main selling point is their bread sticks, how can they manage to stay open?.. lol the bread sticks just tasted like normal bread sticks to me… nothing offensive, but nothing worth eating. How is this place even a chain? If it looks like a chain, and acts like a chain, it must be a chain right? Which makes me beg to question… Where did we go wrong America… where?

I was at a loss for words. «Where did we eat earlier, Oscar & Pete’s??, asked a fellow Unilocaler who dinned with our group a few hours prior. To put it bluntly, the food is just about as memorable as the name, which doesn’t say much. Upon first entering through the door, I wasn’t sure of what to make of the rat puzzle setup. There’s tons of tables, which most of were empty, and menu listed on opposite walls. Regardless of the setup, I got in a line to order with few other Unilocalers about quarter after eight on a Friday night. The order was simple: Meatball sub(about 6 inches), no cheese, and make it combo, adding potato fries and a drink($ 9.99 + tax). Then I sat, conversed, and twiddled my thumbs. Over and over again for about 35 – 40 minutes. I wasn’t ordering a four course meal or anything overly fancy, and I would have understood the wait if the place was jam packed busy and getting served just took that long. The restaurant had a few patrons, but was by no means near capacity. Had I not planned on going bar hopping after said meal, I would have asked for a refund and left without eating, but the food was a necessary foundation for the ventures to be had. When the sub arrived it was nice and warm. The potatoes were replaced by a Cesar Salad, which was not what I had asked for. I let it go, I was in a time crunch and needed to house the sub in a mere few minutes. The meatballs were over-sized and nearly fell out of the sandwich. The meatballs themselves were bland and devoid of flavor, the marinara sauce being the only saving grace that made it edible. The combo also came with half of a breadstick(the Pat & Oscar flagship item). For making over 17 million of these breadsticks per year(the breadstick pitch burned into memory from staring at those words on the back of the cup during my wait), I have to say that they have succeeded in following the Ford model and have mastered the concept of mass production. Quick to make(you would think), cheap parts & labor, lack of personal touch and the breadsticks came out boring, bland, and average at best. I can’t say I’d come back again, especially considering they charge quite a bit of coin($ 10-$ 15 per person) for such small amount of food that one could find elsewhere, at a fraction of the price & with timely service.

A good wine maker only needs to go out to the vineyards and pick a single grape to be able to taste if it’s going to be a good wine. It may be one simple bite into a grape, but it could tell you loads about the tannins of the grape based off of that one bite. He’ll know what sort of wine he’ll get from it in the final product and if will need some blending and with what. Much the same, I could tell from a single bite from the bread sticks that Pat & Oscar’s was not fit for human consumption. Might I add, if your main selling point is bread sticks, perhaps you shouldn’t be too proud of yourself. That’s like a dead beat dad feeling proud that he pays his child support. Chris Rock said it best, THAT’S WHATYOU’RESUPPOSETODO! Don’t try to get credit for being the bare minimum. Congratulations on getting bread right. How about you work on getting a main course that doesn’t look like it was poured out of a Campbell’s can. Service was dreadfully slow. Which confuses me as the hand full of people in my group who did order food, none of them ate at the same time. So that automatically tells me that Pat & Oscars could never be an Olive Garden. At least they could make sure that the table top is served within a reasonable time of each other. Then you have the fact that the food looked like… well, it didn’t look very good. The meat ball sub was really small and for the price tag that it comes with. well, there’s nothing that I could say to justify that. I’m actually really surprised this is on anyone’s radar in being even remotely acceptable as a food option. Going to the market would yield you the same ingredients to make this stuff at home for 1⁄10th the price. I guess the only thing going for this spot is that it has to be one of the safest locations on the planet. At any given time there was at least 2 – 4 officers eating their terrible pseudo-Italian food at a given time. So you’re more than likely not going to get shanked here. Though I’m pretty sure if you ate the food, you’re taste buds will feel like they got assaulted. Not to mention your eyes as well. Jesus, does it have to be so bright yellow? Pat & Oscar’s… on the list of terrible places to eat both economically as well as gastronomically.

I’ll get right to the point. The main problem I had with Pat & Oscar’s was the speed of the food arriving. The employees were polite and helpful, they were not goofing off so that’s not the problem. When I was there there were between 8 – 13 people in the restaurant, including myself. It took me a little over ½ hour to get my wings. I had plenty of time to count the people, watch the Laker game, etc. And, I had to ask about my order twice before I got it. I would hate to try and eat here if it were busy. The food was good. The bread sticks were good, and that’s a damm good thing, because I think they gave me 4 of them to eat, total. I tried the chicken soup, also good. But, hey: I got 6 wings, soup, a drink, and 4 bread sticks for $ 11.94. I think that’s kinda pricey. Without the bread sticks, I would have been very hungry. Even with the bread sticks, if you have a big appetite, you are going to leave hungry. Another plus is the place was nice and clean. Lots of free parking, too.

Bf and I came here out of curiosity. He ordered the Bbq beef sandwich combo with potato wedges and I the Cobb Salad. The girl at the counter was nice and patient as we fumbled our order. Place was big and there were families as well as couples and a table of cops. We felt very safe eating there. Food took a while to arrive. Salad came in good time, but was subpar and the sandwich took so long that bf threatened to ask for a refund and leave. House salad dressing was tangy and tasted like italian dressing. Salad itself was pretty lackluster, and had me wishing I had ordered something else within 2 bites. Sandwich was yummi-licious, and the only reason that I gave it 3 stars instead of 2. Bread was crunchy on the outsides and warm and chewy on the inside. Definitely recommend it. However, portion was small for the price. Probably wont’ be returning now the«curiosity» factors is gone. Oh yeh, potato wedges weren’t that great. Bf enjoyed them, but I could’ve used more crunch.

I don’t know what it is I don’t like about this place, but it has this sizzler kind of feel to it, which is not a compliment. I guess wings may be a big thing here, but I haven’t tried it. The place seems a little overpriced, esp. considering there is no waiter service and it’s in a strip mall. I’ve had an okay caesar salad here, but I probably thought that cos there was too much dressing on it :) Not really recommended.

Not really much to say about this place. Ribs, pasta, pizza. Free breadsticks? If you want someplace cheap & don’t mind the carbs w/the so-so food(hey, I like to make my carbs COUNT), this place is okay. Their pizza was reminiscent of Chuck E Cheese pizza & bf & I laughingly refer to it as made with«government cheese». It’s not even a large improvement over Costco pizza just across teh parking lot. Saw some little brats running around with tomato sauce on their faces double fisting some breadsticks though. So I’d say kids would probably enjoy it.

I love the food at Pat and Oscars. Lemon wings and breadsticks, its really hard to go wrong. This location however is awful. We usually do carryout which consists of me being on hold for about 10 minutes. The people who work there don’t seem to know what they are doing(forget using their rewards card no one seems to know how to work it and it usually involves about 20 different receipts printing from the register) and are pretty rude. While the food overall is good it can be hit and miss at this location unfortunately there’s not another one around so I brave it.

I got the chicken and pasta deal for 2 people. The«cheese» pasta was like watery mac and cheese and the salad seemed like it was purchased from a vendor nearby(Costco). I’m giving it two stars instead of one only because the chicken was decent(I can get better for the same price), and the bread sticks were tasty. Sorry Pat and Oscars, but you’re on my «will not return» list.

this review is for their catering service. my employer likes to get them to cater dinner about 4 – 5 times a year and the food has tastes consistent over the past 5 years: –Breadsticks: usually pretty good until you get the one that looks like this: –Pasta: no matter whether it be the cheese or marinara, it’s never good –Chicken: lemon chicken is OK –Ribs: the meat usually slides off the bone easily, but sometimes can be dry. They’re definitely small ribs. I think Costco across the street does a better job. –Brownies: hit or miss. sometimes it’s really dry but usually it’s just dry on the outside/edges of the pan(more dry than normal brownies, i mean) overall OK. i probably won’t come here spending my own money for a lunch or dinner though.

I was introduced to Pat & Oscar’s by a very dear friend of mine one day, and it quickly has become of our favorite places to go when we are on «the go» to something in LA. Usually, something really cool in LA, you know LA things, LA people… whatever. Anyways, I have never heard of this place before, and for the longest time after we went there the first time I kept calling it «Pat & Oswald’s» for some reason. That actually has nothing to do with anything, I’m just slow. But, it’s a really good alternative if you don’t want what’s usually out there. I’m a big fan of their BBQ chicken«Pocket» Sandwich. No silly, it’s not small enough to fit in your pocket! The bread they use is a type of pita bread that they open like a pocket and stuff the chicken and lettuce and tomato and other stuff into. You can add things to it like olives or extra chicken, and even make it a combo and get some really good fries. They also have pizzas which look really good too. But, of course, the main reason to visit a Pat and… whoever’s, is the bread sticks that they serve you in line. So warm, so buttery, soo good! They even give you another one with your meal. YES! My only complaint is that a couple months ago I signed up to be on their email list just so I could get a free basket of bread sticks, and nothing ever happened with that. So, that sucked. But, it’s a good little place and a great alternative to all the other crap that’s out there. AND I haven’t gotten food poisoning there yet! But if I do, well, you’ll be the first to know…

It’s been awhile since I’ve strapped on my fat pants, Pat and Oscars is the perfect place to bust out my favorite trousers. Get in line, stare at the menu and say to yourself…“I wonder if I could eat the ribs AND the half chicken. The bread sticks go without saying, but what would happen if I got an order of wings and the pasta bowl??“ At Pat and Oscars the portions are amazing and everything tastes SO much better with butter and garlic. Don’t forget the white man’s salsa(aka ranch) on those bread sticks. Delish. WARNING the yellow paint in here is almost blinding. Wear your shades, preferably the ones that match your fat pants.

Not bad for fast food, although I’m sure Pat and Oscar wouldn’t want you to conisder this fast food. When I walked in it looked a lot like Pizza Hut, and I wasn’t all that excited to eat. Then they gave me a complimentary bread stick and I became very excited. VERY excited. Bread sticks here are WAY better than Olive Garden. And I had thought they won in the pre-made-and-ordered-frozen bread category. I got half a sandwhich and a soup. Both were good. Good, but not great. Not great, but better than I expected.
