Best pizza not only because I didn’t want to pay for overpriced bar food– actually the best pizza I’ve had. It has that balance of not too thin, not thick by any means and the crust. Ohhhhhh the crust! Again, a balance of not dry as most thin crusts are and buttery enough! They have a pie with fresh(not pickled) jalapeños and it has changed by world. Can’t wait to go back. I will not be holding back.

This place not only has awesome pizza but really great employees and customer service. Pregnant wife — which means lots of strange food rules such as no unpasteurized cheese, etc but lots of pizza cravings. We called in and customized our pizza and my wife let them know about the food requirements and that she was pregnant. They were extremely kind and triple checked every ingredient on our pizza to make sure it was safe for her to eat. This included giving us a follow-up call while they were preparing to let us know they were doing substitutions for certain cheeses. Overall, awesome experience and the best pizza I’ve had in Socal.

When my friends and I were in LA we were walking around and we saw Papi’s. We walked in and saw it was empty and it was kinda small, but as soon as we took a look at the menu and saw their extremely reasonable prices we started talking with the employee and he was extremely kind. We told him our order and we all did it individually. I personally ordered a slice of pepperoni and the potato wedges and it was fantastic, I soon realized I did not order nearly enough and asked him if I could get another slice and it was out in front of me in a hurry. He kept a tab for all of us so we could continue to order until we were full then he rung us up as we were leaving. The pizza itself was fantastic, the customer service was great, the location was amazing. I cannot wait until I can go back again to Papi’s!

Maybe it’s good to eat in but ordering pizza to be delivered was the worse decision. Especially if you’re starving! Pizza was delivered COLD! It was hard, cheese was burnt and the crust was harder than it should have been. When I called the girl was not helpful nor apologetic! Never again!!!

Ordered thin crust cheese pizza(10min drive) got our pizza 45 minutes later, real cold & Not sure if that’s how it usually is but our cheese seemed stale and a bit burned. Honestly don’t know how that happens but it happened. :/

My pizza experience felt like I was the butt of the,“Why did the hipster burn his mouth? Because he ate the pizza before it was cool” joke. I’m sure the pizza was good, but after being told the pizza would be ready in 15 – 20 minutes upon ordering it, damn near an hour later, we were left with less than ten minutes to try and eat 3 big ass pizzas without melting our mouths(we weren’t very successful) before booking it across the street to make our firm appointment at Escape Room. I would’ve happily given Papi’s a pass, but if you take 3 times as long as you promised to make a pizza knowing that we have a tight schedule, at least offer a discount and don’t act annoyed when we ask you how things are coming along. That’s just customer service 101.

This is my return to Papi’s Pizza and as you enter you receive a warm greeting from the owner Marcus, great guy. First thing he told me was the thick cut potato wedges are back which I love, Today’s pizza slices were sensational, see photo. I tried their signature white pie with Caramelized onions and a slice of pepperoni, great having this spot blocks from my office!

I’ve come here twice for dinner before going to Escape Room LA across the street(if you’re in the area for the escape room, definitely come to Papi’s!). Pizza is bomb, with perfectly baked crust. Potato wedges with ranch and pesto dips are the perfect unhealthy snack. If you have room, order a dessert pizza, which is the epitome of indulgence and so worth it. On the healthier side, their salads are quite good, standard pizza shop salads. If it is available, DEFINITELY order their lemonade. It is homemade from local lemons and it is sweet and tart and divine. The owner is super friendly and service is great. This place is popular for late night drunk food(especially the potato wedges), but also perfect for satisfying any pizza cravings you might have at any time. They have a large table in the back that can accommodate large parties if you call ahead of time. Quaint and unassuming but oh so good.

this isn’t a food review … this is a «it must have been a bad night, but get the damn pizza delivered on-time and don’t give me attitude when i call to inquire about it» review. ordered … was given a :55min delivery window … called at the 1hr15min mark … was told in an agitated voice: «hey man, i just got here»(as if that has anything to do with anything … take down my pertinent info, put me on hold and figure out what the hell is going on); followed by a half-hearted apology and a hasty«what more do you want me to do»(a little empathy would go a long way in this situation). pizza finally gets here with apologies from the driver & him explaining how this is the most busy night of the year for them. My mind thinks: if you know this is one of the most busiest nights then give a more realistic window. pizza is good, but now the experience getting it here just subtracts from what I was anticipating tonight … oh well. We’ll put Pap’s on the back-burner for a while. I don’t have pizza cravings often, maybe next time Pizza Next Door will be open.

We were desperate for some extra food after realizing our original food order would not sufficiently feed our workshop attendees. We called Papi’s in a pinch, as a recommended and approved establishment of the California Community Foundation, where we were holding the event. We ordered 3 pies — veggie, vegan, and margherita and two Caesar salads. Even at noon on a weekday with no advance notice and an urgent need for delivery, the pizzas and salad were brought to us in under 45 minutes — just in time — and only cost $ 100! The food was awesome and, thanks to Kenyon(who I ordered with on the phone) and our delivery man, our service was, too! I would definitely order from them again for a delicious and inexpensive taste of NY in CA!

Do not let a drunk person order pizza… I ordered 3 but, only received 1 hahah. Struggles were real that Saturday. well Sunday morning. It’s not what you think! :P I tried to order Domino’s but, it was closed… so I ended up ordering two pizzas for Sunday night hahah. Luckily, my friend caught it in time so I could order a pizza at Papi’s Pizzeria! :) What I Ordered — Butcher Block Pizza Yumm. Crispy, thin crust pizza topped with pepperoni, sausage, ham, bacon and basil! A tad salty but, what do you expect from all that meat haha. This is definitely a great late night delivery place!

Ordered this because we were hungry and didn’t want to leave our hotel room. Ridiculously expensive average pizza(two cost $ 60. Yes, $ 60. For two pizzas). Took literally two hours to arrive. It wasn’t the worst pizza I’ve ever had, but by the time it arrived, we would have eaten anything.

I always order delivery for this place as it is convenient and close by, and Papi’s never fails to disappoint. My delivery comes in about an hour, and the pizza is hot and fresh. The pizza, for around $ 26(plus tip) is giant, and I usually have leftovers for lunch the next day. I don’t really have comments on this besides the fact that it is a good, solid pizza spot for thin crust!

Grabbed a few slices late last night. The Unilocal reviews and coverage in the Downtowner give the place well earned props. The man behind the counter(owner?) is just a good, hard working guy that cares. And the pizza’s no joke. Looking forward to trying out their other pies. If they can keep this up, I’ll be a regular for sure.

Nom nom nom pizza is my favorite post-midnight treat. & this place hit the spot. But when does pizza not hit the spot after a night of drinks? Anyways the slices were large, the crust was thin & the overall flavor was good. I just ordered a slice of their cheese pizza topped with fresh jalapeños! I loved that the pizza was not greasy as well. Overall decent pizza, but definitely not the best I’ve had, thus the 3 stars.

Came here to satisfy a week long pizza craving and Papi’s Pizzeria definitely delivered. Their pizzas do take a while to cook, but it is because they start from scratch. I appreciate their willingness to make half and half pizzas even if the sauces are different for each side. We tried a half Zapata and half Chicken Pesto pizza. They do warn you not to tilt the box as their cheese will slide off since they use preservative-free cheese.(Love that!) The owners were incredibly friendly and provided wonderful service. The dough was not oily and is served New York Style with large thin foldable slices. 1) Zapata– Spicy tomato sauce with Chorizo and Fresh Jalepenos. This pizza was very flavorful, and had a great spicy bite to it. Would definitely get this pizza again! 2) Chicken Pesto– Oh, the pesto sauce on this pizza was divine with large pieces white meat chicken breast. What I loved about this pizza was actually how the olive oil pesto sauce was baked into the crust. Usually a non crust eater, I totally finished off this pizzas crust!

Ordered a large veggie today and it was good. We chose to pickup and avoid the delivery wait. The toppings were sufficient, crust nice n crunchy, but the best part was that it wasn’t greasy. I’m not a pizza lover, hence the 3 stars, I would’ve given more if this was a gourmet pizza, but it wasn’t. Hence the 3 stars.

My 9 girlfriends and I decided that we were hungry at 3am in the morning after a night of going out. We ordered 2 large pizzas for pick up. One pizza with pepperoni and sausages. The other one was a pesto pizza. We came in 10 minutes and they said wait an additional 20 minutes for our food. We came back in 20 minutes and they told us another 10 minutes. Seriously? Lucky for us we were in a limo so it wasn’t uncomfortable waiting. Once we got back to eat our pizza, which was 10 minutes away, the food was not hot. The pesto was very dry. The sausage and pepperoni one was extremely salty. For $ 60 for two large, we were extremely disappointed. Dry pizza and salt was not what we needed at 3am but it was the only place open 25 hours in the area. Probably won’t order from them again.
