The customer service was horrible. The employee on the phone and did not know any specials and was very rude when asked. The pizza was good but I would definitely go to another franchise.

Poor customer service! I walked in ordered a pizza and told them I’ll be back to get money. Came back and the pizza was not made at all. I told them why didn’t they ask for my phone number to make sure I come back. The staff was on panic mode and looked like they didn’t know what to do, but what really happened was they were too busy chit chatting that they forgot to make my pizza. Ryan(the owner) tried to resolve the matter, but just like his employees he has no manners at all, he keeps coming up with lame excuses as well. You’re better off ordering pizza somewhere else to save yourself a headache Oh and there’s a delivery charge they don’t tell you about

Simply based on service. First time ever trying this pizza. I ordered ahead and was really looking forward to trying it out. Got the email confirmation stating that it would be 15 – 25 min, thought okay sounds good. Got here 35 min after, surely it’d be ready. 60 minutes after placing online order and STILL waiting! While I’ve waiting, they lost someone else’s order. After an hour, I just had to walk out. Poor service!

Love this papa johns, it’s great that after so long they finally put one near Highland Park. I always order for carry out and the service is great from the employees. They always hook it up with the best deals when I call. And have my pizza ready when I get there. Would recommend to anyone :)

I’d have to say out of all the places to get pizza Papa Johns is the best. Every time I get pizza the staff is always friendly, the pizza is always great quality, and is always on time.

I have to say that this store is one of my favorites. I first went in because it’s super close to my work and because I’m a biiiig pizza fatty!!! The price was the thing that threw me off at first because I was so used to the cheap pizzas but the quality of it makes all the difference!!! People here are pretty cool so service is always a great experience!

The staffs are very friendly and fast service. I can see everything how everything is made while i wait. There’s no hidden surprises. I get my order hot and fresh from the oven. The prices are great. They have many special offer deals. Great pizza place.

Horrible service. I didn’t even receive my pizza. The person who mans the counter acts as if he doesn’t want to be there. I walked right up to the counter and was ignored. I’m finally greeted with what you can say is a greeting. Overall just horrible service, I will gladly take my business to the Glendale Papa John’s.

DONOTORDERFROMHERE. Dominos and Pizza Hut failed big time, but I thought I could count on Papa Johns. I literally JUST got pizza from here. I payed EXTRA for pepperchinis on their website paying system, which I kept trying to «Remove» from the order. The website wouldn’t let me remove the«extra pepperchinis» from the list. I paid .75 cents extra for them… not a big deal. I maybe thought I was going to get extra pepperchinis since the pizza already normally comes with two of them. I opened the box and I had ONE pepperchini. I paid extra for less than I would normally get in a regular pizza box? Huh? They also charged me .85 cents for Garlic Sauce, which they normally give FREE in the pizza box as part of your order. I also asked for Buffalo Sauce on the side and they said they don’t carry«hot sauce.» For a place that sells hot wings, they don’t carry buffalo sauce? Confused. Guess I will pay the extra few bucks and go to Tomato Pie Pizza Joint. Way better pizza anyways.

Honestly, their pizza is not always that good like depends on what specialty you get but their pizza bread is always super soft and warm. The sauce does need improvement though. Its a bit too sweet for my taste. Their delivery is also fast(unlike Pizza Hut and Dominos who now in days take over an hour to deliver!) The cashier(I think her name is brenda) is super friendly and polite. Always welcomes you with a warm smile. Overall i gave it 4 stars for having delicious pizza bread and good customer service.

I find the pizza here occasionally good, despite the fact I craved this pizza the whole trimester of my pregnancy. Now that I’m not pregnant, it’s OCCASIONAlly good. Sometimes it will hit the spot. Other times, it won’t be quite as tasty. Although, every time I order from here the bread is easy to bite into which is a plus. The pineapple always looks fresh, too. Nothing soggy and plain. One thing I do warn you; make sure you listen to the first price they give you when you place orders through the phone. They tend to rip you off when they deliver– well depending on the delivery person. I try my best to give them the exact cash payment after we experienced the«tip charge» trick. The guy charged us for tip at the door. Apparently the delivery fee is already added when they give you the total cost through the phone. Delivery fee is $ 3.25. If they charge per mile? I’m not too sure. Just be on the safe side and make sure that you review your receipt and don’t forget to listen up for the total cost in the first place! Overall the pizza here is quite good, here and there.

Well tonight my rating has slipped to 1 star for my local Papa John’s pizza. The pizza was ordered 1 hour early for a 6:30pm delivery… It’s now 7:30 and no pizza… I called them up and they say they are busy. They won’t be busy with my orders anymore.

I ordered pizza for my brother last Friday(he’s in L.A. I’m in OC) and just saw this morning when I checked my account that I was charged twice. I called the store to tell them about what happened and the manager I spoke to(forgot her name. I think Priscilla) told me that I have to bring my bank statement and the receipt all the way to their store in L.A. to show to their general manager so that they can figure out why I was charged twice. Seriously?! I get that they are trying to be careful and making sure I’m not scamming it but I hope it made sense to her that traveling all the way to L.A.(Again.I’m in OC) $ 14 is just ridiculous and stupid! I asked if I can email someone my statement instead and she said they have no email. That’s is probably one of the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard this year! I normally wouldn’t make a big deal over $ 14 but it just annoyed me so much that they wouldn’t even try to work with a customer for such a small amount of money. The attitude of that manager didn’t help either. She was talking over me, which is very unprofessional, her tone was more accusing than helpful, and it seems like she doesn’t even want to try.

I have just had the WORSE experience with an assistant manager named Janelle at the Eagle Rock Papa Johns. My husband picked up a pizza at this store and when he got home, he discovered that the pizza was under cooked and doughy. When he called back, he spoke with a girl named Gloria and she said that it would be no problem and to bring the pizza back. My husband asked if it was OK to just have it delivered since we just lived down the street, less than a mile away, and she said OK. He hung up and had to call back because he forgot to add something. On the second call, he was informed that there would be a delivery charge. Upset, my husband said that he would just make the trip back to the store as much as he didn’t want to. I thought this was unacceptable so I called the store and asked to speak to a manager. I was directed to a «manager» Janelle, who answered the phone with a rude tone from the first«hello.» I later found out she was the assistant manager. She wasn’t much of a manager the way she was speaking to a customer. It was appalling! I told her what happened and asked why we had to pay a delivery charge when it was not our fault that the pizza was under-cooked and inedible. Basically I was telling her that we were being inconvenienced and she just kept saying that since we picked it up from the store, the Delivery charge was inevitable. Well she said it less eloquently than that. Her vocabulary was not extensive. She argued with me and asked me,“Why are you questioning the delivery charge?” I replied because it was not our fault that you gave us an inedible pizza, and since we were going to tip the delivery driver anyway why do we have to pay extra for the store’s mistake? I said OK, my husband will drive up to the store and waste our gas for your store’s mistake. The thing that really set me off was when she replied, «well our store has to waste our product to make you a new pizza.» I mean seriously? This is what qualifies for customer service here? I lost it when she told me that. They wouldn’t have to waste«product» or our time and gas if they got the order right the first time. Also it’s not a matter of the money, it’s a matter of principle and making things right with the customer, not trying to capitalize on their mistake. She is not manager material and I hope the store realizes this. I have been in the customer service industry for years, and I own my own business, and if I heard anyone talking to any of my customers like that, they would be fired! We will NEVER patronize this Papa John’s again and any Papa Johns for this matter. There are way too many pizza places to endure horrible customer service at this Papa johns.

On the rare occasion I defer from my beloved Tacos and grab some Pizza, the only reason I’m giving this place a try is it’s new in the hood and I prefer to support Small Business first, then Local Business next. So we ordered some Hot Wings and a Pizza, all I remember it was one of their Specials and it had Bacon, well supposedly. Hot Wings — Were a bit on the rubbery side, Sorry not appealing to me! I must say that although Pizza Hut makes crappy pizza they do make Wicked Good Wings. 2-Stars Pizza — Specialty of some sort that was supposed to have BACON — Whatever it was it was OK, nothing special though the amount of bacon or lack of was pretty ridiculous 3-Stars *edit«Buffalo chicken pizza. Containing ranch sauce for the base. Bacon as mentioned, onions, and diced breaded chicken» Yeah this is one of those One and Done places for me! 2.5-Stars

This place took over what use to be a okay chinese food place. In my point of view, that’s awesome. The closes Papa John’s from here was the one in Pasadena… Now we got one here… Yes! The pizza’s cheap, and pretty good. The special’s were really good for me. The only thing is that the sauce is a little sweet… Other than that, it’s pretty good for its price
