Store #4,269 Franchised by PJCA-3LP I will no longer be a costumer of this store, I felt the manager did not handle the situation properly. The situation happened on Jan 16 around 12p. I ordered 2 pizzas online(Order #400379458) and mentioned another manager, from my last transaction in November 2015, promised that i will get a credit for my next transaction because they messed up on my order. That previous order(order #389388759) was delivered the last hour and I was going to send it back but the manager said she would give me credit on my next purchase instead. The manager from today was a heavy set hispanic male about 5’11. He tried to look up my record of the credit and said it wasn’t filed. So i asked the manager to meet halfway and give credit of $ 8. I said its not my fault the previous manager didn’t record it. Then he said it wasnt his fault either. Then he asked me «why it wasnt my fault» it was not recorded. I didnt understand why he was asking me so i said its the stores responsibility to take care of that. Then he proceeded to say is it not his fault for hiring that previous manager. He did not want to take responsibility. I continued to say as a «manager» it is. He then escalates the situation and ask if im implying that him and his staff were«stupid» and«incompetent» because«they dont have degrees». That came out of left field. I told him i dont care if he has a degree or not but its the stores responsibility to make sure these things are recorded. It seemed he wanted to pick a fight with me. The situation became more aggressive so I asked him if I should call the police. Bottomline, managers should not get aggressive with customers and it seemed he was playing into his own insecurities. He was also saying Im just doing this to get a free pizza. I said Im just trying to get credit which was promised and tried to be more than fair asking for just half the credit which was $ 6. I told him it not worth this $ 6 and i told him you will lose me as a customer which i have been for last 5 years plus the cost of my last order. I told him I will make a formal complaint and will post this on Unilocal and the Better Business Bureau

I am very dissatisfied with the service i received today. I ordered a combo with pizza, wings, and a 2 liter diet pepsi. Usually, papa johns is very professional and my pizza gets here in 30 min. Today I put in my order at 1245pm. The time stamp on the receipt says 1:02pm. I assume that is when my order was finished. I just received my pizza at 2:15pm. I put directions on how to get up to my floor(I currently live on the 2nd floor of an apartment building) including an elevator code. The elevator is working fine and I, myself, have used it multiple times this same day. I order takeout from different restaurants at least 2 to 3 times a week and no one has trouble getting up to my floor. The delivery boy calls me around 2pm and says he’s having trouble getting upstairs. I’m willing to talk to the driver to give you maybe more specific directions or tips on how to get upstairs. He cuts me off and says«it’s not working and I’m not getting in there.» I said, «ok, but i’m probably not going to order from you guys again.» and he goes«ok, fine, whatever.» This is not the level of courtesy that I am used to seeing. Usually they are very polite and apologize to me. In addition there is a concierge at the desk near the elevator where they could have asked for tips on how to work the elevator. When I get downstairs(using the same elevator that the delivery guys says wasn’t working), he additionally says«oh, I guess no one called you right?» Turns out, there wasn’t even a 2L diet pepsi included. The driver just says«whoops, we’re out. it’s crazy today» Then he has me sign and says the manager will take it off the charge. My biggest question is… why did no one call me? My cell phone was working the entire time and I picked up on the first ring when the delivery guy called me. i would have gladly accepted an alternative soda had you asked me. Plus, my pizza is cold! What un-professionalism! I’m pretty much never ordering from you guys ever again and I’m uninstalling the app from my phone!

Gonna start by saying that reguardless of the poor service both carry out and delivery, the pizza was made how I ordered it and very good & fresh! As always I’m a HUGE fan of papa John’s pizza and it’s quality. I rated it the lowest I’ve ever rated a pizza place because of the bad service, I normally order at 11am on Sunday at my job very near by, I am not given or offered any crushed red peppers(even when they have them on hand and I ask) 2⁄4 delivery times were very slow and they couldn’t find it or where to park, the driver the last time wasn’t the greatest and neither was the cashier when I went for pick up but hey I’m not trying to get anyone fired here. Lets just say they need to learn some proper communication skills and some friendly customer service. To be completely honest I will order from here still just because the food was great and it’s so close to my job but I am not getting delivery so skipping that fee and any tip(didn’t tip last time but the other times I tipped $ 3 still) Possibly management needs a better relationship with the employees

Ordered ahead online for a 5P delivery for my workers before they all take off at 5:30P. Pizza did not arrive in time, and I was stuck with 4 Large pizzas. I complained to the store and they proved very unhelpful and could only offer a discount code available only at their store. I then reached out to corporate where Alondra Diaz, the district operator reached out and offered 3 free large pizzas as compensation. With offer in hand, I decided to give this location one more try. Needless to say, they disappointed yet again. I was initially quoted a time of 1 to 1 and a half hour for pizza delivery, but when the store found out that I was redeeming my free pizza offer, the delivery time magically ballooned to 2 hours. Even with this overinflated time, they STILL managed to deliver later than 2 hours. Given your choice of so many different Papa John’s Pizza locations to choose, please, STAYAWAYFROMTHISLOCATION!

Pizza was delivered fresh & hot, within 25 mins of ordering on Halloween eve which was very impressive. I would have given it 5 stars but the price is pretty steep for a medium sized 3 toping pizza with 2 sides of Ranch $ 22.67(that does include the delivery fee). Overall I will be ordering again and again…

Terrible! Pretty fast delivery, but what I got was a half cooked pizza(size small) for $ 20!!! Are you kidding? I could have gotten a super gourmet pizza for that price. Not to mention to ratio here is 9:1 for dough to toppings/cheese/all the good stuff.

I absolutely love those special nights when I can refrain from cooking and submerge into a yummy box of Papa’s oooey goooey Pizza! I’ve always found it easier to order online so I don’t have to be put on hold every time I call. My favorite is the thin crust pizza and don’t forget the special seasoning. If you love a nice crispy pizza like me, be sure to have it well done! Also the best side item I’ve had thus far are the Garlic Parm breadsticks… NOM! My only complaint here is how they nickel and dime you for sauce and seasoning. Since when did Papa Johns get so cheap on the good stuff? I’m already paying a higher price tag for pizza!

The staff were very nice and friendly, we picked up a couple pizza to go and I have to say that the thin crust pizza tastes and felt like the cardboard that it was served in … Petty bad

Love the pizza but Caesar has horrible customer service. I was cut off rudely a number of times while trying to place my order. Wasn’t going to leave a review but I had to for the bad customer service while trying to order pizza

This review is for quality. Sometimes delivery is quick, sometimes it takes awhile, but that’s LA. I really enjoy the Garlic Parmesan Breadsticks, usually, and my last order(on Friday 3⁄20) of them was excellent. This would have been great if I hadn’t experienced food poisoning from the«Lent Special» spinach Alfredo pizza. I’ve had it before, and it was actually quite good, but this last had almost no sauce on it, for which I should probably be thankful, as I didn’t eat more of it. Seems I’m forced to giving up food for lent. Don’t know if I’ll be able to get up the courage to order from here again.

I’m bumping my rating for take-out here to 5 stars. I still have no comment as to the efficacy of their delivery services, but in the past year or so, I have noticed a real, earnest effort by the restaurant’s crew to improve the level of take-out service — and improve they did. I always take it as a good sign when the staff members of a restaurant recognize me on sight and remember my name. :) The high quality of their pizza has not diminished(Domino’s can suck it!!!), and the apparent price increases of their menu over the past year appear to have been fairly modest(particularly when you take into account inflation and rising food prices). My orders are also generally still ready by the time I arrive for pick up, so kudos to the staff here for maintaining a high level of efficiency as well. I applaud the Papa John’s chain for taking risks and testing the waters with new, original, unconventional product configurations, such as their Philly Cheesesteak and Bacon Cheeseburger pizzas. Give them a try, you may be surprised how much you’ll end up enjoying them.

I ordered on line the large 3 topping special at 5:45 and requested pick up at 6:15. It was ready by 6:00. I was pleased by the service. My pizza had bbq chicken, Canadian bacon and pineapple. It was not at all greasy. It was awesome. Brought it to a bible study and it was promptly devoured. Flavorful pie and wonderful customer service. Thanks guys. Good job.

Fast downtown location. It’s a chain pizza place, so don’t trip on the rating thinking it’s an all-time greatest pizza rating or something. It is what it is, and the location delivered quick and the order was right.

This Papa Johns is located in a very convenient location and is the perfect place to grab some higher quality pizza(comparatively) around the area. The 3 star review is due to the poor customer service. People that work here don’t seem to be happy workers. There’s 6 employees walking around and no one even greets customers? This reflects poor management and training. As for time management, they make pizzas fast. I recommend this location for quick pizza pick-ups. My pizza came with a garlic dip and peperoncini. Apparently, too much sauce can be a bad thing. They overloaded my pulled pork pizza with so much barbecue sauce that I literally had to scoop layers of it out. Papa John’s is definitely higher quality and better tasting compared with Pizza Hut, Costco Pizza, or Little Ceasars! I still love my thin crust Blaze Pizza though!

Pizza came awfully quick. Prob in 25 minutes to my door after ordering online. The toppings were sparse, but most of all the dough was just barely cooked. It was white. Not brown, crisp, or toasted. It was edible, but shortly baked in the oven.

I placed an order online and over an hour passes, no delivery. I called in and the girl who answered the call is non responsive. First blames me for not completing the order when I clearly see the order has been confirmed on my part, hangs up in the middle of the conversation so I call again and she puts me right on hold for like 2 minutes. Answers back finally and tells me nonsense about order so I ask whether there’s a problem with their system and she tells me yes. So I ask again when my pizza be delivered and she tells me the pizza’s already ready but they are trying to change the address which I always had on file with their account. I cancelled my order to stop dealing with her bs. Papa John, whoever this girl was if you can get a hold of her, better fire her because she’s just terrible with her job. Never ordering from here again. Low rating so well deserved for this location.

An online order was placed for a pizza to be picked up at 7:15 p.m. I arrived at 7:15 p.m. and it was ready. I asked for a couple of plates and they were given to me. I had no problem with the order. Sure, I could complain that I had to stand in line behind three people who were there before me — but that would be kinda stupid. Although, there was an incident that as a customer you don’t want to see/hear, because such things leave a bad impression. As I entered PJP, a lady who was already picking up her order requested napkins; the worker looked for some and I guess couldn’t find any. So, he asked the manager, who was pressing dough if there were any more napkins. The manager, replied quite rudely that he did not have any, shrugging his shoulders as if he didn’t care how this might affect customer relations. The lady had a quizzical look. I too wondered, how could you have no napkins — you’re a restaurant. The worker apologetically told the lady that she could go to the restaurant next door to get napkins.

My lazy boyfriend lives down the block so Papa John’s is a blessing to him. I read the reviews about their horrible delivery service but thank god we just go for pick up. Small location and the place smells uhhhhmazing when you walk in We usually order«the works» which has everything on it. Papa John’s market themselves as a pizzeria with quality ingredient– and they we’rent lying! Their toppings taste fresh and more flavorful than their competitors(although I’m usually a PizzaHut fan). The one thing I love the most is the medium sized pepperchini(?) they add in their pizza boxes! I loveee that stuff and it’s a great side to the pizza! They also have a garlic dip which is pleasant too :)
