Pablo has the best fruit stand in all of Los Angeles. I would dare to say that he is the best and the cleanest fruit stand vendor in all of California and maybe the world. I know, I’ve bought fruit from other fruit stands and have even had fruit from a stand in Venice, Italy. I know my fruit, people. I eat fruit from Pablo’s stand about 3−4x every week. He is stationed outside of my work place Monday through Friday from about 11am until about 1:30pm. His fruits are consistently fresh and on ice so they are nice and cold. My favorites are the mangoes, papaya, pineapple, and honeydew. He also has watermelon, cucumber, hicama, and coconut as well as several types of chips and peanuts. On request, he will add salt, chili, and lime to your order. Pablo charges $ 1.25 per fruit. I usually pick two so for $ 2.50 I get a big bag-o-fruit that makes for a very healthy and cheap lunch. Pablo always puts on a different pair of disposable glove for each transaction. If you got sick, it was from that food truck parked on the same street. It was not from my friend Pablo. And yes, I do consider him a friend. He knows my name and my order. He always picks the best«cut» of fruit for me. And when I told him I got married, we hugged… right there in front of the fruits.
