Located on the corner of la Cienega and Cadillac is a small Chinese restaurant. There is a small parking lot 2 doors down from the entrance. Inside it is very plain with a tv. It appears most of their business is to go as there was nobody sitting and eating inside. The women took my order and said it would be ready in 10 min. I ordered the spicy pork chop. I was advised to keep the box slightly open so that my dish would not get soggy. My dish was very tasty and the potion was humongous. It was not greasy and the flavor was very good. There is no delivery as it is just the husband and wife(owners)team there. They were so kind and a joy to talk too. I will definitely be back.

I think this restaurant flourish because it’s next to the hospital. I have eaten here many times. It’s better than the hospital cafeteria when you’re craving Chinese food(especially now the cafeteria is closed). I usually get the eggplant dish. But the other day I got the wonton soup with bbq pork. I will say the pork was inedible — bland, they gave me many pieces but I only tasted one and left the rest at the bottom of the bowl. The wonton themselves were chicken based. Pretty big and pretty good. I am happy to get the wonton soup next time if I crave some light soupy stuff but definitely not with the pork again. The eggplant dish that I normally get is good just very greasy, enough for leftover lunch the next day.

Hands down… One of my favorite Chinese spots in LA. The husband and wife that own/run/cook at the place are awesome. They are the only two that work there. The lady always remember me and is very friendly(on most days of the week… If you catch her on a off day though, watch out, she can go very old school on you). The husband knows how to cook. The homemade egg drop soup is out of this world. The giant egg roll/burrito is tasty. The fried rice is very good. The veggie and meat dishes are all solid. But my favorite, are the greasy, spicy, artery clogging, hot and spicy chicken wings. They are skin heavy wings, nicely breaded, heavily deep fried(to where the grease soaks into the meat), and they are topped with nice and oily onions and jalapeño’s. These wings are delicious, and to make them even more terrible for me, I get them on top of well done fried rice. I think I have felt my heart stop a couple times while eating these wings. It’s probably a weekly dose of calories, but it’s worth it. You only live once… This is a whole in the wall, very un-inspiring venue. You wouldn’t think twice to stop here. Stop here.

While searching for my «go-to» Chinese Restaurant, I stumbled upon this cozy gem not far from my home. Based on Unilocal!recommendations, I decided to order the Spicy Pork Chops, Spicy Chicken Wings, and Fried Rice. WOW!!! Absolute H E A V E N… and at very reasonable prices and good portions, too! While dining inside this quaint establishment, I noticed how well-connected the warm and friendly husband and wife team are with the local community. They made me feel so welcome and took great care of me. Thank YOU!!!

I ordered some trays of food from the restaurant for an office party and was very pleased with the food and that it was ready when I came to pick it up. Received a lot of compliments from my co-workers on the tasty food-thanks!!!

Good food, good prices. Nothing too exciting or spectacular but it is one of the better Chinese food places I’ve had here in LA. HUGE portions! I ordered the orange chicken and fried rice with a side of the Egg Flower Soup. All were super tasty.

The food at this place is good. I would go at least twice or three times a week. But the reason why im rating it a low star is because the lady is very cheap. Ive asked her to sell me a container so that i can add some hot sauce in it. She insisted on me putting the sauce on my plate which i wasnt going to do because i like to have control of the intake. I explained this to her and she said no sorry i cant. I suggested that she should buy small containers so customers can use it to add sauce n so forth and she said oh no its expensive. Like wtf really. Since then i stopped going there. If you cant satisfy customers need them u dont deserve my $$$ n tip

Work in the area, and this place is walking distance. Have eaten twice here now, and both times have ordered from the lunch specials. Great prices, tasty and lots of food(enough to share, if the mood strikes you). Every new«American Chinese» restaurant I visit, I always ordered the broccoli beef. It’s everywhere, and if the place can do it right, you can be pretty sure that the rest of the items on their menu will be good. And Oriental House doesn’t disappoint. This is now our weekly Fri lunch spot. Thus far the fish in black bean sauce is my favorite.

if you are looking for dirty, greasy, salty chinese take-out, this is the best! the spicy pork chops are amazing, especially if you dont plan on eating for the next week. if you want to pretend to eat healthier, go for the spicy fried tofu, or crack tofu, as my co-workers refer to it. the non-deef fried options like the black bean sauced anything or the eggplant and whatever-protein-you-want are also good. stay away from the special won-ton soup. its really good but seems a bit too healthy to be trusted.

Two words: spicy porkchops. I was suspicious of this place. I once threw shade. But now I find myself craving«spicy porkchop» with fried rice!

The chicken wings and pork chops are awesome. They also have one of the best black bean sauce I have tried. I have to stop by at least few times a month. Don’t forget the fried banana. See you soon!

Always fast and friendly service! Delicious a la carte fried tofu. Humongous egg rolls. And new favorite– fish in black bean sauce — is a must have!

Its a small family owned restaurant, I mean literally small. Only few tables to eat inside the restaurant. The food is okay and the price is average. The best entrée to get are the fried tofu and pork garnished with jalepeno. Best bet is to order your food and pick it up to avoid parking issues. oh yeah. bring cash, just in case u cant use your debit card. However, times the same lady at the counter accepts debit card. Try their spicy pork chops! They are to die for. Get it with Fried Rice. As long as you know you have to eat well for at least a week a week and a half after eating it. Yum yum yum I don’t live very close but would still drive to get it. My go to place for authentic delicious spicy pork chops.

«Want some Chinese?» When I hear this question, one thing pops in my brain, SUPERCRISPYPORKCHOPS! This place is really like the«drug of choice» for workaholics.(That would be me). This place is ran by 2 people, husband and wife. The husband cooks. The wife gets the order and does the rest. There’s no other wait staff here. As you walk in, order and wait. Or preorder and pick up. A very small place(5 tables) with an A rate. Well sometimes the tables are sticky and oily because every single food here is greasy, extra oily. It’s extremely busy too. It’s no doubt that the food is an artery-clogger and I actually feel bad every after meal. But it’s an irony that most people who gets food here works in the hospital. It is located across the street of Kaiser-WLA. I don’t have to explain the statistics. But it’s now a part of everyday life for most. Once a month indulgence is ok. And I can’t speak for anyone who chooses to eat everyday or every week. :)

Small mom-n-pop type restaurant with the ‘mom’ handling the counter and the ‘dad’ cooking in the back. A few tables, and no visible parking, except for the Carls Jr lot which has the ‘your car will be towed’ warning. I ordered the Chicken in black bean sauce with fried rice, which came out to $ 7.35 with tax. There is a $ 10 minimum for credit card transactions. The fried rice was very good, the chicken in black bean sauce was ‘ok’ See attached picture. The chicken pieces had large bits of cartilage in them, which was the biggest downer for me. I hate getting globs of cartilage and other weird stuff when I’m expecting a nice yummy piece of chicken. The sauce in the dish was nothing special, and the vegetables used did not seem very fresh. The reason this places gets two stars is because the lady at the counter was very friendly, and this is on par with the other chinese places in this area(not that many)

Oriental House? Talk about a lesson learned from never judging a book by its cover. I was actually tricked into eating this place’s food. I’ve lived next door to it for 2 and a half years and have always refused to try the unmarked corner dump when my bf would suggest it. One day, my sister brought home some amazing smelling, authentically home-cooked-looking Chinese food and I ate up a storm! I asked her where this bomb food came from and she said«Oriental House» on the corner. I didn’t even know what she was talking about because the restaurant has no sign, so I never knew the name of it. Imagine my surprise when I told her to order it again a week later and she brought me with her! At this point I didn’t care. All I wanted was the gloriously crispy, spicy friend chicken, pork fried rice and sweet and sour chicken takeout. The owners are humble and sweet people and they actually have really good service. The price is definitely right for such yield and quality. I’m sorry I judged you Oriental House, but the 4 stars are for the food & service alone. I would probably never eat inside the restaurant, but for as long as I live next-door, I will pay a visit at least a couple times a month, guaranteed.

Listen, the bottom line is you get a good value for your money. I give it 4 stars based on value. Where can you get a decent meal for less than 6 bucks these days. The cook is a one man show back there and is always stir frying things up fresh. This is clearly a hole in the wall but what do you expect on the corner of La Cienega and Cadillac Ave. For those who rate it low what are you judging? The ambiance, the location of the bathroom? Come on. I have eaten here many times and never had any GI tract issues as one person noted. Things I’ve had: Try the beef w/broccoli w/fried rice, good flavor and the amount is sure enough fill you up, broccoli still crunchy indicating it’s freshness. The won tons w/chicken are good and the house special fried rice is also tasty. Recently had the ginger beef w/onion very good as well as the mongolian beef. The orange chicken is worth tasting if your a fan of orange chicken. If you don’t mind greasy try the fried pork chops, really good but greasy. Like I said don’t expect world class here but it’s definitely a good value and lunch time is busy which is a testament to it’s being worthy of at least 4 stars. I have yet to leave this place and not be satisfied.
